Nice spot close to shops & river boardwalk area, not within walking distance to beaches though (If that's a preference) . well maintained & friendly staff though, good for a relaxing weekend but not much longer
Riverside views,a balcony and a spa bath! We loved the comfy bed.Nice toiletries in the lovely ensuite. Great restaurant with magic views.See my reviews on the Point Restaurant and Gallery Cafe in Ballina. We had a room on the 5th floor, which is the 2nd highest floor. We have stayed here a few times before and will return.Good prices and fabulous location!
The Ramada is a good base for work trips to the Northern Rivers. It’s pleasant to be able to see the Richmond River from the well laid-out rooms. We skipped the in-house restaurant due to its slow service and went to the Red Wok, instead (very good food).
Stayed a night in Room 203 - great value for money at $A175 for one night for a wonderful location and river views. Great views over the river from a lovely balcony to watch the world go by - dolphins at sunset and pelicans at sunrise. Got an early check in and late check out at 12 noon - a big shout out to everyone on reception. What more is there to be said for a spa bath and restaurant that has great food (the best we had in out 10 days in Australia) and is value for money (only downside was our waitperson pulling her pen from her hair for us to sign the bill which we thought showed absolutely no class - we in fact asked for another pen). That aside, if we knew what we know now, we would've left Byron Bay a day or two earlier. All in all, great staff, a great hotel and a lovely town.
After a very long day! We checked to this Hotel for the first time during Business Travel. Asked for a Quiet Room on my Booking, in which was not entered. Instead placed directly in front of the Pool. Told by Front Management the Rooms are Sound Proof, in which was not true at all. In fact; the Room was far from Sound Proof. I could hear everything outside of my Room. When I mentioned to the Female Reception Staff Member; “I will be checking out if I am not moved”. She said “ok if you want check out”. I was moved to a smaller room. Only Room available. Never again are we coming back.
Room a bit small and claustrophobic and No privacy in the bathroom as the wall opens up with gallery louvres that dont screen much. Enjoyed my stay, was a treat to look out in the morning and see dolphins and a sea turtle so close. Room cleanliness could have been better and rooms look to be in need of maintenance with alot if damaged fixtures and fittings. NOTE I read a few reviews of people having problems with the air-conditioning not working. Here's the answer. If you open the balcony door the air-conditioning will turn off after a short time. You must keep the door closed. Rooms do have a tiny sticker on the window to tell you this but its hard to see.
Weekend away we decided to visit Ballina. Had stayed at the Ramada a couple of years previously with work and always a great experience. This was just the same we were on the 6th floor. What a view to wake up to in the morning. Weather was perfect. Hotel staff very helpful. It was a great weekend
Very impressive hotel. We only stayed one night - Easter Sunday - an impulse trip and we didn't expect to be able to get accommodation. Our large room had a lovely view of the river and the marina. Comfortable king size bed and modern, clean bathroom with walk in shower and spa tub. Breakfast was not included in the price but we had decided to eat at the RSL anyway. The Ramada has two restaurants - one a cafe and both a la carte. There was a lovely outdoor area out from the bar where we sat with drinks watching the activity on the river. Early morning you can see the prawn trawlers going out. Great pool area with comfy seating and sunbathing lounges. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Secure undercover parking is included in price. Jacqui was very helpful at front desk. Wifi is free. We will definitely return.
I’ve stayed here twice now for business trips and I can recommend a stay here - the 1 bed suites are generous in size and very clean. The staff are friendly and efficient and willing to assist when needed. It’s a beautiful spot next to the river with a few restaurants within a stones throw. One of the best things about last night was gazing up at the stars out the front of the hotel and being able to see the Milky Way - something you can see in a city - magical
This hotel is very impressive. My room was fourth floor Riverview. It was clean on the surface- but needed to be cleaned under the bed- someone had left a drink bottle. The food was 5 star quality at affordable prices.
