We stayed at Ramada Ballina for 8 days. Our room looked over the river, which was just wonderful, waking up to the sunrise 🌅 was amazing 😉.I found the staff and management, professional and friendly. We would stay there again.
After a two year break have booked in here for Christmas. As before the service was fantastic with nothing a problem for the busy reception staff. The rooms for spacious and clean with a fantastic river view from our balcony. The bar downstairs provided very good service and a wide range of snacks and meals. This accommodation is also very close to other restaurants and attractions. Perfect for a stay at Christmas or anytime.
My partner and I enjoyed our stay here. The room was lovely and clean. We had a fantastic view of the river. The staff were great. The only downside is there wasn't enough secure parking for all the guests. Though we will be back!
Check in was easy Staff are friendly Room was clean and well presented Room has terrace overlooking river Plenty of restaurants close by and located within walking distance to everything. Parking inside gets full quite quickly but there is parking outside If you are travelling in school holidays and and want peace and quiet, ask for a room away from family rooms. The noise of a family with screaming kids at 6.30am give you no chance of a sleep in. Want to have a peaceful swim in the pool.....no chance if it’s school holidays. They over take the pool. Needs a bigger pool or another pool. Would I stay again- yes but will be picky what room and when.
After having left Cairns early morning and spending the day on the Gold Coast we decided to pull up stumps here in Ballina, at first the service was great, got to our room which was incredible (but for the $180 it would want to be) the air conditioner stopped working during the night, there was no alternative offered, we were forced to leave the door to the balcony ajar and because it rained half of our stuff got wet, we hardly got any sleep, upon checkout we told them how unhappy we were and told a manager would call to discuss, and to this day I still haven't received that phone call.
We stayed here for a night on our way to Brisbane. Unfortunately it coincided with a private Christmas function and they closed off the restaurant and bar to hotel guests. This was really annoying and I will probably not stay here again. The rooms are also very dated and dark, they need to be modernised and lightened up.
The 3 C's in business accommodation. Comfortable, clean and courteous. Comfortable beds with a great view. Clean rooms and courteous staff. Will be back in 2018 this is my go to place coming back from any N.S.W area.
We stayed 5 nights over Christmas at the ramada. We had a suite with a large balcony that we loved to sit on and watch the boats go by. A kitchen was included and we made ourselves a scrumptious breakfast every day. One day we also ate downstairs in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large with a big shower. We didn't use the pool but had a look and it also looked amazing. Loved our relaxed stay in Ballina.
We stayed here on Boxing Day, our first stop on a 2 week road trip. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which included a King bed and sofa bed. I'm not a fan of sofa beds as I've never slept on a good one. We had a pool view room which was okay, but I'm sure the rooms overlooking the water are much nicer. The hotel was within walking distance of a number of bars, restaurants etc.
This hotel is in a great spot right on the river. A few restaurants right next door and a short walk to the Main Street with Hotels, RSL club and shops close by. The room was spacious and had a spa bath. Location of room in this place is important. Low level rooms on the river side are not private with a public walk way going right past your door and can easily look straight into your room, also there is an exhaust stack coming from the hotel restaurant that flooded our balcony with fish and chip smells all night which made it unpleasant. Might try another hotel next time.
