Only in Byron for 2 nights so wanted something central, the motel is 2 minutes from the beach and less than a 5 minute walk to all the main places to eat and shop. Room was lovely too, very clean. Would recommended to everyone!

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst in Byron for a wedding. Check in is at the Waves resort just next door. Check in staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean & looked newly renovated. It had everything we needed for our stay. You can park your car right outside your door so you are avoiding parking fees by parking your car on the street. The motel is also centrally located, walking distance from beach, restaurants, bars. The only downside to this motel is that it is noisy. We got woken up at 1.20am to young people partying, and there is no chance of sleeping in in the morning as garbage trucks come by early. Also a lot of noise from little kids running around in the car park in the early morning. I guess you cant really keep children quiet as they are just that, children. The Hibiscus Motel is a good motel I just would not recommend it to those that value their sleep.

Byron Bay & the Hibiscus Motel was a good overnight stay for the 2 of us. Don’t judge the hotel from the exterior, a pleasant surprise entering the room, it’s compact but bright & updated. Good wifi, AC, parking @ door. Lovely beach & Ocean 2 min walk. Many restaurants a walkable distance away. A recent review says it was not worth the money. I don’t agree, it was one of the better places to stay for the money, Byron Bay can be pricey. Byron Bay reminded us a little of Key West Fld during the day (not it’s night scene). Byron Bay is lively @ night, lots of people out dining, we were not looking to do the bars. Restaurants waits if no reservation may be long.

Six of us stayed in the two bed bungalow with two sofa beds. bedrooms good size, sofa beds comfortable. only one bathroom but toilet separate. clean and tidy lots of towels. Able to early check in and parking a bonus given paying meters all over Byron.

Old school motor inn. 9 rooms parking at your door but this means your bed is also 5 ft from parking area. . Rooms have been renovated and are very nice. Rooms are bedsit with small sink, microwave and fridge. BUT Hibiscus is owned by Waves resort next door and is the service area for the larger and better Waves. Every morning at 6 am garbage is collected with the noise of the truck, bottles being emptied into truck and then the bins being wheeled back past you window. Expect this for 30 min every morning! Other than the early morning bin collection if you are an early riser and like to get to the beach it's in a good location 1 block from beach and 1 block from centre of town. Suited me but my wife likes a sleep in

For the money paid would have expected much better, have stayed in way better properties for less money. Will do more homework when staying in this area again. Did not feel safe leaving personal items in the room especially with the ugly security screens it kinda told you you were not in a safe area.

The Hibiscus motel is managed by the Waves Apartments located next door to the Motel. The motel is not serviced daily but the rooms have been refurbished and are very clean and comfortable. The rooms are not large but are OK for up to 2 people and breakfast service is not provided, however there is a very good Breakfast/Coffee place right across the road from the motel. . Car parking is right outside the motel rooms. The Motel is a minutes walk to the main Surf beach and is close to the Town centre with lots of restaurants from which to choose. The Beach Hotel is also in easy walking distance. The rates are very competitive when compared to all the other Byron Bay motels.

Compared to other places in Byron Bay, this place was significantly cheaper, but it didn't seem like it. So close to the beach and just a lovely atmosphere. Had everything I needed and really enjoyed my stay. Thank you! :)

The motel is in a good location near the best highlights in the town - beach and food/shopping street. Moreover I can park the car in the motel area which was very welcome. The room was clean and I had everything I need for that money. On the other side some of the equipment was little bit older. But for that price it was perfect.

My girlfriends and I visited Byron Bay for 3 nights. This Motel is in a perfect location! Very central to Byron Bay and was perfect because parking in Byron is extremely expensive!! The Motel was very clean and tidy. We were expecting a crappy motel but were very surprised to see how clean and modern the motel room was! Will definitely be staying here again!
