"The room was ok. No heat in bathroom unless you pulled string and went off again. Parking is limited but we were lucky to get the last spot. There is a small town where we found a nice restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately there was a group of people who stayed up late yelling, knocking on doors, and making lots of noise in the hallway outside our 1st floor room. The Abbaye itself was fascinating and worth walking through. We brought some beer to support and it was very good. So mixed feelings."

"This is a pleasant characterful property, with the sort of period charm we prefer rather than clincal modernity. The check-in was efficient and welcoming. Our top floor room was spacious and comfortable wth a good sofa as a bonus. The breakfast was continental, with no hot options as expected. The only thing that stopped this from being 5star is that, despite nice touches like an orange juicing machine and plum moelleux cake, there was less than average choice of standard items of prepared fruit and pastries. This was just a stopover for us on the way back to the ferry from Switzerland, so we didn't spend time in the town other than to view the river from the bridge, and enjoy the local cuisine and ambience at the Bonaventure in the main square."

"Great place to stop on route back to UK. Clean rooms. Nice small town to visit. Limited EV charging so check if you need it as I was told I couldn’t charge as in use, however a later guest was allowed to charge, however there is a fast charger close by."
