A really good hotel

Arriving at the ultra modern hotel we were dubious but after easily parking (free) we entered the vast entrance and we were quickly allocated our room with balcony and offered a credit for the spa. The room was modern and spacious with a very comfy bed. The fridge was filled with free drinks and in the morning breakfast was a dream. All the highest quality fixtures and fittings made this stay 5 star.

The hotel itself is very modern and clean. We visited the coffee house at 2.40pm and they were taking away all the food. It’s not meant to close until 3pm and they were not very welcoming at all. Also we used the spa while we were there and to use the showers, sauna etc you are not allowed to use swim wear! Nowhere on the website does it say this so not until you arrive and are shown around do you know. I thought that was really bad advertising.

We really wanted to like this hotel. Its super quiet, super clean with a modern feel and an excellent breakfast. Didnt love that the shower is open and almost transparent, but that would have been fine. The major dusappointment was that our room was a toasty 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) for all 4 days/3 nights of our stay. The first night we asked the front desk how we could turn on the A/C. The gentleman said that they dont turn it on until May (it's currently April), but did not offer to help us lower the temp in any way. We just slept with the patio door open since it was a cool 44 degrees F outside, but then bugs came in. We go to the front desk the second day and ask them to turn down the heat (its a different receptionist). She kindly said they could control it from the desk and offers to set it to 18 degrees C (64 F). That night its still hot (still no change in temp). The third night we go to the front desk and ask them to turn it down again. Still nothing. Idk who in their right mind enjoys sleeping at 77 degrees F. No one offered to come up and check/ fix our thermostat in our room, even after the 4th time that we asked nicely. We booked this hotel to get a peaceful nights rest and unfortunately did not get it bc we were sweating all night.

Slick and unique.

A very stylish place, great restaurant with very helpful and friendly staff. Really loved the vibe, perhaps not for everyones taste as it is rather stark and intimidating. I really appreciated the uniqueness personally and it's nice that there was a gym/pool etc. Minor downside, no iron or ability to iron which is a frustration for a business traveller staying there only one night. I'd likely stay again if the occasion arises.

Chic modern hotel with excellent food and service

This hotel is brand new, just a year old. It's ultra modern and is beautifully designed. The food we had both for dinner and breakfast was excellent and beautifully prepared using the best ingredients. The staff were also very helpful, in particular reception staff Beatrice who helped me after I left something at the hotel. Everyone of them couldn't do enough for you. In might not be in the best location- opposite a factory, but nearby are some lovely vineyards for you to visit and its just outside of Udine and is easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again.
