people bear in mind that this is an old hotel, so the rooms are a tad older but nonetheless still kept in spick and span conditions with great room and housekeeping service. westin has never failed me. i checked in at 11pm after a long drive from seoul and countless sightseeing spots on the way. we were tired as hell but front desk was absolutely welcoming with their bright cheery faces even at ELEVEN AT NIGHT. i was super impressed that they took our luggages and whisked us in to check in so quickly! (prob saw our tired aged faces) we were given our rooms and our luggages came in so fast, it was prob my fastest check in ever. oh if you love the beach. PLEASE STAY HERE. the basement leads straight to the beach. we spent nights at the beach till the wee hours in the morning and we could just walk right up to our rooms. awesome and the next morning, draw your curtains, and you get the morning sun :) curtains are dead opaque so the morning sun doesnt wake you. and the aircon works marvels tho people with dry skin, please watch out. i would stay here again. great location at busan and wonderful beach view and experience. since busan is all about the beaches. just stay here. you wont regret it.
I stayed here last year and this year for 3 days. totally recommended hotel. Staff are well trained and food was great. Ocean view throughout the window was excellent. The manager of the hotel was really helpful. They have wheel chair service if you book in advance. Good thing about this hotel is 3 people can stay at one bed room. No need to ask for extra trundle bed for kids. Location is great near to the mall and easy excess to the beach.
This is a nice hotel with direct access to the beach. This was high season and it seemed that half of Korea was vacationing in Busan. I was greeted warmly ; although, my room was not ready until well after the 3 PM check in time. I booked through Expedia, using points,, so I was not given the gold member Starwood benefits though for some reason I checked in at the “elite” desk. I elected to pay $75 for an upgrade and access to the executive floor. I think it was worth the money. My room was on a corner, offering splendid views of the beach and the city. The A/C, free wi fi, quiet, and nighttime darkness were great. There were 6 pillows and the bed was very comfortable. I had breakfast and drinks in the lounge. It was very small, often there were simply too many people. Food ran out in minutes and the staff competed with guests for space in the tiny buffet area. The food, though limited in choices, was very good. One night, the happy hour food consisted of a great smoked salmon salad and excellent large shrimp on a skewer. Of course, there were the requisite cheese, fruit, and assortment of liquor, beers and wine. They had a very good Spanish cava. The breakfast was just OK; there were very limited choices other than the standard western fare. For both buffets, meat was predominant. Koreans love their carne. There are two things I have to point out: 1- The concierges have their own desk, but whenever I needed one, no one was there. The place was so busy that the concierge was usually involved at the front desk. The first day, a young man gave me an excellent overview of some of the sights. I really wanted to take a boat trip in the beautiful harbor, and the hotel advertised a trip that ran at 3 o clock the next day. When I tried to book it, I was told it was full. Two concierges seemed at a loss to provide alternatives. Later, by walking into them by accident, I found two other boats, fully bookable, within easy walking distance. Why wasn’t I given this information? When I asked for a typical Korean restaurant, I was greeted with consternation. It took 15 minutes of searching to find one. This was all done very pleasantly, and perhaps language was a factor, but again later while walking, I found dozens of the kind of place that I had described. It seemed that, perhaps, the concierges had not been trained as well as they could have. 2- The Westin is a North American brand, yet the ATM does not accept many US cards. I don’t pretend to know the logistics of choice of bank for a hotel’s ATM, but Starwood should make some effort to locate a usable ATM on or near the hotel. The staff was confused where the nearest working one was, and finally, I found one operated by Citibank that was excellent. Again, better training would have helped in having each person at the desk to know, definitively, where a “good” ATM existed and even provide a map and an admonition at check in. The hotel appears to be the only one on that stretch of beach that lies directly on the sand. That made it very convenient for a nice walk on the sand or on the immediately adjacent walkway. I’d stay here again.
Very nice hotel, perfect location, even it is a little bit too expensive. The hotel is perfect for business trips. It is around 45 min from the International airport. You can take a nice walk in the near park or to visit some nice restaurants nearby. The breakfast can be better for the price per night. Morning walk on the beach is a very good start of the day.
I stayed here for a business meeting and loved the hotel. I was upgraded to a room with a view overlooking the beach and bay. The room was outfitted just like a normal SPG property. The room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. As a platinum member, I received access to the lounge. It was an average lounge with nothing special that stood out. It was a little small for the property but was satisfactory. The property is right on the beach. You can walk straight out from the hotel to the beach and everything is there for you, including the beach chairs. The boardwalk out at the beach was fascinating with local street performers putting on shows late into the night. I enjoyed this trip to Busan.
Brilliant, impressed with the efficiency, comfort and the scenic view of the ocean. Situated in quite a idyllic setting, with plenty of things to do around the hotel for all ages. Most certainly would return to this hotel if the opportunity presented itself.
Popular location in busan, haeundae, also have a great view in case of ocean view, bur building is tooo old facility is also.. price is expensive than room condition and facility service is good but happyhour is awful lack of food especially hot food is only two type.. breakfast is just normal but not recommended for pay swimming pool and sauna is good also another gym facility
You can watch the beach from the side. It is a whole view. You do not have to confront the beach to enjoy the beach, you can find. The ice coffee is rather hefty. However, you can sip it as long as you want to.
While visiting Seoul, Korea for quick R&R and a business trip, we decided to visit Busan via KTX. We decided to stay at the Westing Chosun Busan, as it is located right on the waterfront with gorgeous views from its room. The property also provides easy access to some of the most scenic walking path. Though the rooms are bit small compared to typical properties in U.S. (except New York City), it is not too bad. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was truly a perfect choice for vacation. Just sitting beside Busan's most famous beach, Haeundae, this hotel has a perfect location for their guests to easily enjoy a beautiful sea view, no matter by staying inside their lounge in face of the seashore or simply going downstairs to directly reach to the beach. Besides, at its opposite side stood Dongbaek park & island and its harbor, so that I could stroll in the park to have a deep breath for relaxation in the morning, and also walk along the bay to enjoy dazzling harbor view at night. Most significantly, what truly amazed me was their considerate service, that their concierge, by keeping contacting Starbucks South Korea, took great effort and bought in advance for me a special-versioned Busan city mug which I requested for pre-order but seemed discontinued for release several years ago, and I was much excited when the concierge presented it to me in person. All in all, with its great location and impeccable service, this hotel is highly recommended and worth a visit when taking a trip in Busan.
