ibis Ambassador Busan City Centre

The hotel is conveniently located near Bugeon Railway Station (4 minutes walk) and just opposite Bugeon Metro Station. The shopping district of Seomyeon is the next Metro Station and is within walking distance through the underground shopping mall. From Busan Railway Station, you can take the Metro Line 1 (Orange) towards Nopo and Bugeon Metro Station is the 7th stop. Go towards Exit 1 and enter the underground shopping mall through the glass door and turn right and exit through Gate No. 9 of the Mall; the stairs will take you just at the entrance of the hotel. The huge and vibrant local market (fish, vegetables, spices etc) is besides the hotel and there is a 24-hour super market 'Boamart' just across the road to the right side of the hotel. The hotel reception is at 17th Floor and there is a very helpful information desk on the ground floor at the entrance of the hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, workable and consist of everything you require for your comfortable stay including a safe. Wifi works well and there is a desk top computer station at the Reception which is very handy for getting printout of your documents (free of charge). We have been staying at IBIS properties for the last several years and we do not hesitate to say that Busan hotel proved to be the best. We stayed for four nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hospitality of each staff member there. We will surely return if we visit Busan again.

tourists in busan who don't want to pay exorbitant prices in haeundae mostly prefer to live near seomyeon, and this ibis is just one metro stop away from seomyeon, in bujeon. the hotel is in fact located right about the metro station (exit 9) which is convenient, but note there is no elevator, only stairs for exit 9. you may choose to take the metro here from busan ktx/train station as it is not too far away. or take a taxi for around 8000 krw. we didnt have high expectations for the hotel, knowing that it is just an ibis, but even then the hotel failed us on many accounts. for the last couple of nights, we discovered that every time we used the sink, the pipe would leak, which meant that there was flooding in the bathroom. we lived with this uncomfortable situation by using used towels to soak up the leak. we couldn't understand how a new hotel could have such glaring issues. then, on the morning of our check out, the air conditioner started making annoying loud and regular noises at about 6 in the morning. every 10 seconds or so it would make a loud noise and that made it impossible to sleep. i was so frustrated that i woke up to call reception but the girl had no idea what the problem was. i again made this comment at check out, but staff never told us why the air conditioner made those loud noises. we were never offered an explanation or compensation. i have sent a complaint to ibis but have not received even a response. so here i am, venting it out on tripadvisor. avoid this hotel. there are other options around seomyeon.

The hotel is very close to 2 metro stations, Seomyeon and Bujeon. Where Bujeon station is right in front of the hotel. In Seomyeon station there is an underground mall and from here you can walk to Lotte department. In the same complex of the hotel there is an convenient store, Starbucks and a hospital. So don’t freak out if you see patients on ground floor The reception of the hotel is located on the 17th floor. The check in staff spoke very could English and everything went smooth. At the 17th floor the hotel restaurant/bar is located. At night the view was nice from here. Regarding the reception, to bad they are located on the 17th. Somehow I miss that connection and interaction with the staff. I mean no one for me to practice with my Korean language. The room itself is what I’m used of IBIS. It’s clean, quite big and I don’t have to worry about a bad sleeping night. All major touristic spots are quite easily to reach from the hotel. Around Seomyeong there are lot of shops, restaurants and bars. So you won’t be bored here. I had a good stay and would consider IBIS again in my next stay in Busan.

Many thanks to Sharon at reception who went all out to help us to arrange a day tour of Gyeongju. She made our stay at the hotel very smooth and pleasant. She was always helpful and couteous and changed our room when we did not like the first one assigned to us.

Neat, clean, comfortable and well located. A BIG market down the block. Metro just outside the front door with metro shopping. Starbucks next door, but doesn't open until 8pm! A good base for day trips.

My husband and i stayed at ibis ambassador busan city centre and it was great as everything was just around it. Location was really good and train station just right outside the door. Staffs were very helpful and room was very clean and new. Bujeon Station is the best place to get out from.

The staff were very accommodating in allowing me to have early check-in around 12pm rather than waiting till 2pm, not expected but certainly appreciated (especially just arriving in Busan after long hours of travel from overseas). I had the breakfast buffet every morning during my stay, which had a sufficient selection of hot food (Western and Korean) and cold breakfast items as well. Just expect minimal rotation in the breakfast dishes, I was happy with the offerings. The restaurant is located at the highest level with the lobby/reception so there are some good city views there. I didn't note plenty of food options outside nearby the hotel block so having the breakfast buffet was quite convenient. The hotel has a convenient location being right across the road from the subway entrance, as a tip I would recommend if you're arriving at the hotel via the subway train that you go underground and exit via the shopping centre exit, so you don't have to cross the road with your luggage (which can be difficult and dangerous as there are no pedestrian crossings - in case people are not aware of this). In terms of proximity to the nearest hub in the city, it is roughly 10 minute walking distance to the main shopping area in Seomyeon, or 2 minute ride there as the next stop via subway train. It is in a quieter area as it not located right in the middle of the busy Seomyeon district. For in-room facilities, it was a nice touch to have a couple of bottles of water already stocked in the mini fridge upon arrival, which were also re-stocked each day during my stay. The toiletries (shampoo and shower gel) are also restocked every day, but be prepared to bring your own comb and toothbrush/toothpaste (or you have options to purchase dispensible ones from vending machines on your floor). There is a water dispenser (free to use) on the floor which had hot, cold and purified (room temp) options. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others, it was good value and provided a relatively central location for visiting places throughout Busan.

Excellent location....metro just in front of the hotel....very clean and spacious room ....good value for money... Excels and professional staff....English speaking staff. It is also only 1 stop away (subway) from plenty off restaurants and a very interesting market which is just next to the hotel.

Everything was great except the location of the reception desk. The rooms of the hotel are located from 3rd floor to 18th floor. It means there are so many rooms. But there are only two elevators so many people who must have been a guest of the hotel had to wait for a long time to take one of the two elevators in order to check in and out at the reception desk on the 20th floor. I failed many times to take an elevator for check-out because every time whenever I tried to take it, two elevators were full of many people. Still I cannot understand why they made the reception desk on the top of the building? Even only one staff handled all the guests at noon -- over 50 people who want to check in and out.

The room is bigger than I expect! And the choices of the breakfast cafeteria is really mulitiple. I enjoyed the breakfast very much. I had a good time while staying in Ibis Busan Hotel. I will recommend my friends!
