My wife and I stayed over as part of our anniversary and enjoyed the experience. The room was to a high standard but was eclipsed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Would be happy to stay again.

Was looking forward to our 2 night stay but found the room shabby, torn and dirty bed base, bar ran out of Rose Wine, both room labels were do not disturb we had not realised this so we did not get our room serviced

Stayed for a conference midweek and was really impressed with the hotel and grounds. The room (126) was modern, clean and tidy. Food was good. Staff efficient and public areas very smart. The grounds are extensive and there are 3 different marked walking/running routes around the perimeter. Would definitely like to stay again

Excellent service, happy, helpful professional staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was well appointed, comfortable and clean. It's a sports hotel, a real mixture of guests, cool dudes, dollies, sports men and women, families with children and grand parents. Informal but good. This well travelled oldie loved it.

Stayed here overnight whilst attending a conference hotel appears new and the decoration is of a good standard. The bedroom are large and the bathroom had bath and separate shower. Food was average nothing wrong but could have got just as good at home Had a major issue with security was sitting in room when someone entered my bedroom reception had allocated my room to another guest! They apologised but it was very half hearted

We went to Alton Towers with our kids for the weekend. We booked a package for 2 days ticket + accommodation at St George's Park Hilton Hotel. It is a very famous Hotel for England Football Players. But for us, we booked a compact room for 2 adults & 2 children. In the Internet the room looked so nice. When we arrived at the Hotel after Alton Towers we were very tired & we just wanted to go for a swim before they shut the swimming pool at 7pm for adults only. But unfortunately we had to wait very long time at the reception because they said 2 rooms are being booked in our room. We said we booked only 1 room through internet. Finally they gave the key & when we went there, there was only a double bed for all four of us. Out children are 8 & 9. How can 4 people sleep in that double bed. Then when we went & asked at the reception, they said somebody will come & do a sofa bed for the children. Our check in time was 3pm & we went at 6pm. Why didn't they make the bed & keep the room ready for us? It was compact room. But the swimming pool was lovely. Has got Sauna, Jacuzzi, Steam Room everything. Very nice & relaxing. Very good breakfast with lot of choices. But the restaurant seats were dirty. Not like a 4* Hotel. We have been to so many 4* & 5* Hotels in other countries. But it is not like a 4* Hotel like those. You have to drive a long distance from the main entrance to the Hotel. You have to pass lot of fields where the England Football Players practice Football. You can see cows rabbits other kind of birds all over the field. They have all the Football meeting at this Hotel. So they have special side for them with higher standards to make it as a 4* hotel. But not for the normal people like us.

Stayed last weekend as birthday treat for my partner. Excellent spa treatments and as had booked an executive room drinks and canapés in the executive lounge in the evening-very pleasant surprise! Evening meal and breakfast first class and being a Scotsman the footie result was an added bonus. Staff all so helpful and will definitely be back.

I booked the hotel as a package deal with Alton Towers, 1 night stay in the hotel and 2 days park entrance. The hotel option was a compact room, however upon checking into the hotel and entering our room we were surprised with the size and quality of the room. It was more than what we expected! With the price we paid for the package weekend we did not expect the amazing service we would receive. An added bonus was having access to the hotel spa, this was an added touch to a birthday surprise and also the football touches to the hotel (partner loves football so this was great for him). The hotel reception staff were very welcoming and friendly, and politely ordered us a taxi into the town centre in the evening. We had breakfast included in our stay but we were taken aback with the vast options available! The restaurant host who seated us was very polite and attentive, giving us a full run down of what's available. Thank you for adding the finishing touches to a perfect birthday weekend surprise for my partner (and a nice treat for me too!) We will definitely be visiting again in the near future, keep up the amazing service!

The hotel is situated in lovely grounds, the staff are very friendly the waiting staff friendly, helpful lovely people. Reception staff excellent, gym and leasiure facilities very good. Excellent breakfast. Bathrooms fine apart from basins, totally impractical unless your tall.

Have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions for football related work, a fantastic facility and would highly recommend if given the opportunity to stay on site for any of the conferences or other events instead of staying off site. The food is very well presented and tastes great, the service is of a very high standard. The rooms are comfortable and include various options, the staff do really work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
