I wouldn't even rate this pontins site 1 star. As soon as we arrived to our accommodation there was litter all outside where my 18 month child was supposed to play. Glass and water were to be found around the floor on the chalet. We asked for a family room and we arrived to a 1 bed chalet with 2 single beds!! Absolutely disgusting we couldn't even stay there, kitchen was so filthy there was dirt in the sink. We asked for the manager at reception as we were 100% we weren't going to stay somewhere so unhygienic and dangerous for my daughter. The manger didn't even come over! The staff didn't seem surprised at what we were telling them, we also didn't receive a apology for the state of the room. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here!!

I'm not one to write bad reviews unless warranted or expect cheap places to be 5☆ standard. My honest account is that the classic accomodation is basic, our chalet was clean, it was old looking and felt like it had been build many decades ago. Electric was not provided, which i didn't expect, we managed for the weekend and used the chalet as a base. If you were hungry outside of the scheduled eating times in the diner, then there wasn't many places to eat, either cook in chalet or go outside the camp. The fish shop or ice cream parlour was not open (and last weekend was scorching). The entertainment in the night was good, kids could run around and the prices were fair (e.g £3.10 for pint of lager), there is a small food outlet open in one of the main halls but the queues make it a long wait. 2p machines and rides are plenty, mostly helpful staff. The food court, well, burned chips and cold chicken nuggets and poor selection of dessert, and the quality of food and drink was dire. Lots of little parks which was good for the kids. Unfortunately we had really noisy neighbours, so we had limited sleep. I did contact customer services in my desperation but received no communication back about the matter. The best bit about the holiday was the proximity to the beach, lovely beach, Brean Fair, and the little shops along the road. So in a nut shell, it's good to use the chalets as a base, because of the places you can visit in the area, expect tired accomodation, it feels like Pontins are trying to be like Butlins with their blue coats but it needs a big cash injection.

We stayed for 2 nights we were meant to stay for 4. It was filthy, we complained and our apartment was "cleaned".......she moped the floor and nothing else. Mould everywhere blood on the doors, we found a piece of toast under the bed its rancid. The beds are so uncomfortable the grass was so overgrown litter everywhere. My daughter picked up a condom wrapper outside our chalet! Disgusting. Our sofa was ripped and had a spike poking out of it. This was changed when we complained. People next door playing music until midnight and doing other stuff until about 3am and talking very loudly. My daughter is 3 and this is family holiday park. Absolutely furious about this park it should be shut down its that bad.

Me and my family stayed again for the weekend ( 2 nights) we stayed for 4 days just over a year ago, and since then the place has improved! Such like they added new slides and swings to play on, they had a tennis court and skate park which I don't think is new but never saw it last time! The room I had last time was damp, but I had a second floor one this time and it was so much different, I really liked the rooms Food was okay, tasted quite cheap but did fill you up and it's was the sort of food a child would eat ( seeming as it's a child's park ) The swimming pool was perfect temperature, they put floats into the pool, deepest is 1.40 and shallowest is 0.20 so it's suitable for the whole family, they have a water slide, a small ducuzie bit aswell.... only downside is it is now £1 for a locker ( old pound coins) and I last remembered it to be 20p so had a bit of a shock there. Overall I enjoyed my weekend stay, didn't really see their entertainment because I spent most time in the amusements over the road. I recommend ---- Book half board Bring own bedding covers ( or buy some there) Bring own towels ( or buy some ) Ring swimming stuff ( £1 for lockers) beach stuff Check in isn't allowed until 4pm, so I suggest try to check in around 5/6 when it's quieter Check out is at 10am If coming buy train, taxis are roughly £17

You get what you pay for. We upgraded to the classic after reading the reviews on this website. Glad we did. But pontins really have some work to do. Grounds are dirty and overgrown. Apartments are dirty, and dated. Good at queen VIC is disgusting. Feel sorry for the blue coats, they do a great job, but imagine having to gee people up everyday because the rest of the place gets people down. Pontins please take note. Close the park, get so many chalets up to scratch, get the income coming back in, then do some more. The cleaning in the rooms really is below par.

We are regular visitors to Pontins. 2 nights anywhere else for a coastal weekend in the Sun would cost so much more. 100 for 2 nights for 4 people was a bargain. So much to do locally. We had a 3 bedroom apartment when we only booked for 1, this gave us lots of space. We've had weekend at Butlins for ten times the price. We'll be back, as usual.

We came here for a three night holiday stay but only stayed the one night and decided to go home. You arrive to chalets which would have been old fashioned in the 70s and the walls are as thin paper, so you hear every move from neighbours. The chalet was really dirty with mould growing on windowsills and the door to enter the proprlerty not closing properly. The door to the bedroom had a punchmark in and rhe curtains in the living room were half hanging on! Maintenance came round and fixed the curtains but would not fix the door...so that was lovely to see some domestic violence marks! My advice qould be carry on down the motorway to devon or stay at parkdean elsewhere (always had a good stay there)

We arrived Friday 9th June, checked in, went to apartment, was absolutely filthy, crumbs all over floor, empty sweet packet under bed, beds vile, cupboard hanging off wall, filth behind bed, by the TV, ( took photos) people next door drunk and smoking weed, this was 4pm, I could go on and on, checked out, will never go back here, awaiting a refund, have heard watchdog have been to park 4 times. How can they carry on trading like this.... yuk, yuk,yuk

So my wife, kids (3yrs old and 2months) and I visited pontins for our first family of 4 holiday. Booked it then thought I'd read the reviews a week before we went and got a little bit worried from what people were saying.... But we were pleasantly surprised! We upgraded to a club apartment which was clean. We had a bedroom with 2 singles and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was the downfall. Slept on it the first night and I may as well of been on the floor. So the rest of the nights the wife and I took turns to top and tale with littlen and baby was in his travel cot. Advise would be, get a 2 bedroom place or take an air bed! We had the Bed linen from pontins and it was fine. Evening entertainment was good, my 3 year old loved it, playing with all the other kids, running around and dancing. Swimming pool is good. Yes the place looks a bit dated and following people's comments on ground maintenance, they were out cutting the grass when we were there so it's looking tidy now. Minimal litter on the floor. For the price you pay, you can't complain at all! In my opinion, it's a great seaside holiday/getaway for the family!!! In fact my wife is taking the kids back with her mother in a few weeks. Go there with an open mind and understand it's a budget holiday park and you will be happy!

We went on a sun 4 day break all adults in my family we had 2 chalets with had a bedroom with twin beds and a settee bed in lounge well if u can call it that the kitchen was along 1 wall a table and. Small leather sofa I say small and cosy the kitchen untensils are not many so no cooking a family meal the curtains didn't fit the windows the bedroom wardrobe had no doors on the bathroom if u wanted a bath the water came out really slowly so had to wait the plug on the wall where to was was not safe the to was from the ark the crazy golf could do with a make over the grass was untidy the entertainment centre was un clean and the lady's toilets were a mess the neighbours were playing football and shouting at midnight I just felt sorry if people had small children
