Wake & Lake: Your Relaxing Lakefront Retreat on the Private Side of Lake Anna

NEW FOR 2026: THE BOATHOUSE

We've completely remodeled the boathouse at Wake & Lake, and it's now the best seat on the lake. New decking, a new screened-in lounge, a counter with a fridge for drinks and snacks, new lighting, and a built-in stereo make it the place your group will spend every afternoon and every sunset. Eat dinner over the water, keep cold drinks steps from the swim area, put on your playlist, and stay out long after dark. The home's exterior has also been refreshed this year.

THE WATERFRONT

- Remodeled boathouse with screened lounge, counter, fridge, lighting and stereo

- 1,800 sq ft private sand beach with easy walk-in lake access

- Boat slip for your own boat or jet skis

- 2 kayaks, 2 stand-up paddleboards and a canoe for guest use

- Fire pit, hammock and sun loungers

- Private side of Lake Anna, which means calmer water and quieter coves

THE HOUSE

The main level opens into a great room with lake views through three sliding glass doors. The modern kitchen has Samsung appliances, Shaker cabinets and an oversized island, with seating for 12 inside and outdoor dining for 16 on the covered porch. The 8-person hot tub sits on the porch for cool lake evenings.

GAME ROOM

Above the garage is a separate game room with a pool table, arcade machine, built-in bar, big-screen TV, comfortable seating and its own full bathroom. It's a great escape for night owls while early risers sleep in the main house.

SLEEPING (16 guests, 5 bedrooms)

- Upper master: king bed, en suite with jetted tub, shower and double vanity

- Upper left and upper right: queen beds, shared full bath

- Lower master: 2 king beds, en suite tub/shower and double vanity

The house was very nice and worked great for extended family. Lots of room and activities for everyone. Only slight complaint with the house was the limited hot water for showers for our full group. The host did not reply to numerous messages I sent over the months leading up to my stay.

We live out time at the house! The house was gorgeous and it had everything we needed. While they have bath towels, be sure to bring beach towels, laundry detergent and dish soap. We lacked instructions for the speakers, and the hot tub, but eventually got a hold of the managers, who were soooo pleasant!

The host/house manager was very accommodating. The property had dock construction underway on our arrival so we were given the option of staying in the nextdoor house owned by the same owner. We opted to stay there instead since we had grandkids eager to fish off the dock. The house and surrounding property were beautiful. Provided us with everything we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway. Would definitely stay at either property in the future.

Family Reunion

We rented this property for a family reunion. We could not have been more satisfied. The property is wonderful and everything we'd hoped for. The privacy, the view of the lake, the house itself...outstanding. We hope to stay at his property again for our next reunion.

Original rental had ongoing repairs, so we received a next door location upgrade. New place was great! Had a door access code issue likely due to rental location change, but they fixed it. Added rental of the pontoon was also greatly appreciated. Responsive host and manager.

Our stay at Wake and Lake was our best summer family vacation ever!

Our family, parents, grown kids and grandkids, thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Wake and Lake. The house is very comfortable with a number of gathering spaces for everyone and comfortable bedrooms and baths for all. We especially enjoyed the private beach, playing on and in the water; floating on rings, fishing, canoeing, and paddle boarding. The fire pit was enjoyed at night. The hot tub was very relaxing. Overall, it was our most relaxing family vacation ever.

Spacious, updated, clean property in a super location

The title says it all. This was a great spot that we'd return to in a heartbeat. Spacious house, nicely updated, with all the amenities you could ask for. Great location on Lake Anna. Perfect Autumn setting for Thanksgiving week

We had a wonderful stay at Wake & Lake! The house has plenty of space, seating and is very well appointed with everything you might need. Susan was super helpful and welcoming. We were very thankful for the firewood and fire pit, as we enjoyed that thoroughly. Beautiful sunsets and foliage only added to a very memorable stay. Hopefully we will make our way back some day. Thank you Andy and Susan!

Wonderful Home

This property was perfect for our family vacation. The house was spotlessly cleaned, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Property manager Susan and her husband, were friendly and prompt in responding to our questions, and when we ran into a problem with the internet not working, they made it a priority to get it up and running. We really enjoyed our stay thanks to a beautiful home, great location and attentiveness of the property manager.

Great stay on Lake Anna

We had a great time - easy check in/out and great communication with the property manager/owner. The house is not stocked with toiletries or many non-perishable food items (spices, etc…) but some of that may build up as we stayed in the off-season. Great yard, beautiful views of the lake. Closer to neighbors than we were expecting based on the listing but it’s so peaceful it wasn’t a big deal. Highly recommend!
