Found this place by pure luck as we where chasing the sun. We literally, drove by, met the owners and stayed for the night. A lovely manoir, old family houses, turned into a modern family and guest house. Both boundaries blur a bit, as we where welcomed by a beautiful couple, witty, friendly, authentic, and serene. The old farm refurbished and decorated with taste and wit, is on top of the village of bully, surrounded with vineyards. This is why it is called LAO. (on top in french phonetic) Beautiful gardens, an outdoor tent for chilly nights, a breakfast filled with local produce, from cheeses to hams and jams, to die for! The room we took for three was on top of the house, a mezzanine, with much charm, super comfy beds, and a jacuzzi. Actually there was also a jacuzzi outdoor, perfect for our hiking legs! I can also remember the best laughter there! I wish we could have stayed a little more...and who knows we might come back. D

A wonderful couple of days in Lodges Lao on our way back from the South France. Well worth any detour to stay there. Beautiful environment with a fantastic welcome by the hosts. We can not wait to have the opportunity to return with our 3 children. It ticks all the boxes and more.

Lodges Lao was just the perfect find for our trip. Wanting a short break near the countryside, but also close to Lyon... we were lucky enough to find this great place. It is in a stunning location, near the vineyards and a lovely village. The place itself is wonderfully decorated, very inspiring - and I cant thank Sonia, the owner, enough for making our trip with 3 small children, just ideal from the food, to spending time thinking about good places to go. Many thanks and look forward to going again!

Located in an old village of Bully. We stayed 4 nights for the Euroexpo and some tourism. A renovated farm house , very comfortable and clean. Easy to reach. Lyon is half an our away and the surrounding worth visiting. Superb and generous breakfast. Sonia is a perfect host. She arranged another hotel nearby for our friend for one night when the lodge was fully booked. Sonia prepared an elaborated visit plan to the nearby region , including map , adress of restaurants, etc , followed by detailed explanations. Just perfect. Highly recommend.

Wonderful host, comfortable room and a delicious full breakfast They even got us gluten free bread from the market Would try to come back if ever in the area The host speaks multiple languages and was helpful with recommendations for sights and restaurants in the area

I stayed at the Lodges Lao for a quick one night stop before heading to the company office the next day. Usually I stay in Lyon or in a suburb closer to Lyon, but this time I was staying here because a co-worker lived nearby to give me a ride to and from, and the B&B price was good. I was happy with the value after staying at this quaint B&B in a former farmhouse which has been beautifully renovated into a modern B&B. Four other rooms were booked that night, but it was quiet the whole time and I didn't see any other visitors. I arrived late at 10:30PM which was not a problem for Sonia who lives next door. Sonia was very pleasant and answered all my questions as well as described how she and her husband created this B&B. Location: It is on a small hill overlooking the countryside and a vineyard. The area is small town French countryside, very peaceful and calm. You'd need a car if you're visiting the area to get here. There is a covered patio outside where you could enjoy the view and chill. Room: The rooms are all different themed. Mine was on the second floor and called the "Bubble Room" I think. It was full of small details that went with the rounded theme which I thought was cute. The rainshower showerhead was in a round redwalled area in the room with an opening facing the sink which was an interesting design. The water pressure was great and there were little round hooks on the outside of the wall for towels or clothes to be hung. I thought the slit window which faced the outside window was a nice touch as well (although I couldn't see anything since it was night when I arrived). The toilet was in a smaller detached room. Wifi was free. Breakfast: A diverse spread of cold cuts, cheese, cereal, yogurt, croissants, small pastries, fruit, juices, jams, coffee, and tea.

Couldn't have been a more delightful experience. The farm has been lovingly converted into a 5 room hotel surrounded by flowers and situated on a hill overlooking vineyards. Sonia, the owner with her husband, have designed each room with a different theme. Breakfast downstairs overlooking the patio was fantastic ... with lots of local fare. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a lovely 3-day stay at this chambre d'hote. We planned to stay one night and then we booked another night and again another night because we really enjoyed our stay. What to describe? Surrounded by vineyards and fields with cows but not too far from the city of Lyon. Design bedroom with a really good bed and very comfortable bedding. Copious breakfast with fresh products, table d'hote really good and last but not least, very hospitable and freindly hosts. Thank you Sonia and Remy!
