Worst check-in experience of my life, and I’m a well-seasoned traveler. The receptionists were totally unhelpful at the check-in desk. At first, they said they could not find all of the rooms under my reservation, making us worry that we didn’t have enough rooms. They miraculously found the missing room later. Then, we realised that families under our booking had been split across different floors of the hotel. Children as young as 8 and 11 years old were placed in a room on a separate floor from their parents. This is despite requesting family be placed next to each other months in advance. Instead of helping us to resolve this problem, the check-in staff watched us as we tried to move people around different rooms so that families could be placed in rooms next door to each other. The whole process took over an hour after a tiring 5 hour journey from Samarkand. We had elderly people and babies in our group who were already exhausted from the journey. The check-in staff didn’t show any empathy for them. When I asked the check-in staff why they weren’t helping us, they said that this was a problem caused by the reservations team. Were the reservations team there to fix the problem? No. TLDR: Your money is better spent staying at another hotel in Bukhara. The design looks nice but the customer service is 0. I should also add that this hotel bizarrely has “half floors” which no elevator can reach (?!).

The air conditioning / swamp cooler (?) was noisy. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room and I was told all the rooms were like that. $240 a night and I kept being awakened by the the noise during the night. The one thing a hotel should guarantee is a good nights sleep. I checked out of the hotel a day early and lost my money.

We were disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of the pool and spa area. The pool was also shut down during our stay and we were unable to use it. One of the main reasons we booked the hotel was to use the pool and spa, so this tainted our experience. The restaurant, Saffron, is amazing, both in terms of food and staff. Some of our best eats in Bukhara were here and would highly recommend.

Great stay, great hotel, great staff!

The hotel itself was amazing with great amenities and with a modern touch but with a very traditional feel. The hotel it’s 15 min walk from the old town which is perfect for a morning stroll or before the sunset. The staff it’s super helpful and always willing to help with and with a huge smile. The room was beautiful modern and quiet although the window was very thin covered by massive curtains, we didn’t mind as the room was cooler during the 40 degree we were having outside. The spa is very nice and quiet same as the pool although would’ve been nicer outside but indoor it’s not too bad. The food served for breakfast it’s very tasty and well presented same as if you stay for dinner or lunch with good views of the city Totally recommend to stay here!

AC in our room didnt work. Handheld shower to overhead shower diverter didnt work. Low water pressure. No vegetarian or vegan option in the restaurant. We complained about AC night before. A front desk clerk came and check and said an engineer will come shortly, but no one came.
