This place was a DUMP! The towels looked like they were washed in a ditch. The furniture in the room looked like a failed Grade 8 shop project. The bath tub was not washed properly and the drywall int he bathroom was in need of repair. The breakfast room allowed smoking and what food was not served one day was served the next, and then the next, and then the next ... There was no cafe or restaurant in close proximity to this hotel. T Cabs are very inexpensive so at least we could cab it to many decent restaurants that were located in Puerto Moderno. I would say that the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke ok English. We had bought a package from Air Canada Vacations which included this hotel but we left early because of the issues, many of which I have not written here.
This well located hotel is very expensive for the quality offered. Rooms need urgent maintenance work. Breakfast is of low quality. Staff at reception desk insufficient to attend guests. Hotel deserves no more than 2 stars
We stayed 1 night in Unique Art Hotel at the beginning of our trip through Argentina. Hotel was booked via Travel Agency and Announcement on Internet. However, Hotel is useful. Very small rooms, especially with 1bed room. We changed to 2bed rooms which is still very small. Rooms are Really terrible. Quite Dark and rooms are run down. Bathroom needs completely refurbished as well. It looks completely different than the nice Photos in Internet!
If you're looking for a wonderful, cost effective hotel option, PLEASE, continue to search. Unique Art Madero is not only a disappointment considering its (SELF ADVERTISED) 4-star rating, but an overall unpleasant hotel environment. However, if you're looking for a mosquito infested hotel room with dirty sheets, rough towels, a moldy bathroom, with breakfast (read as terrible coffee and old bread), this place is for you! The hotel staff is particularly unhelpful beginning with the general manager, all the way down to the concierge (if they can even be called such). On the bright side, if you're looking to have your laundry washed in gold, stop by! I booked my hotel for about $200USD and got some of my laundry done for $800USD! WHAT A STEAL!!! (I really, REALLY wish that I was exaggerating) The best part of staying at this hotel was leaving! Thanks Unique Art!!
Stayed here while attending the Argentinian conference of Cardiovascular surgerons. I do have to admit that at the beginning the hotel did not look so crappy at all. However bed linens were not even changed for check in, nor today when it was requested in a written paper. Breakfast is awful, no eggs. Coffee was burned. Hotel looks appaling in what relates to housekeeping and maintenance issues. Really avoid if you can, not worth the USD 90 charged daily.
In my opinion, the hotel needs more cleaning(for example the bathtub is very dirty and clogged up) and safety and after this... change the staff definitely! If the hotel need economy creates more promotions because the area is great and very cheap !! Do not close but organize the hotel ... Argentina is very pretty
The photos on their website were probably taken a decade ago. Everything is old now and dirty. Someone else's hair under my pillow, bathroom falling a part. Only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. Bedroom keys don't work and we constantly need to go down to reception to get a new one. Only 2 elevators that fit 4 ppl each, and takes an eternity to arrive. Only one staff in the lobby to assist all guests, so there's constantly a line to get assistance. Staff is rude and not helpful when you ask for information. We ordered a cab through the hotel and they failed to mention there's an additional charge for that. They exchange money in the reception and they give different rates depending on the person- I saw it happening. Only reason for the 2 stars (instead of 1) is for the shower (good pressure) and the bed and pillows were comfortable (i had a great night sleep). Breakfast is not bad considering its free. Location is OK. Near a few attractions, but there's absolutely nothing around the hotel on a 4-5 block radios (no bars, restaurants, shops, etc).
The location is fine , between Puerto Madero and San Telmo Friendly staff although understaff The room is small but clean Cable TV and AC correct Honesty breakfast The towells are a little bit wearout The price is very good Good low cost option
We stayed 3 nights. They have not refill toilet paper, soap and shampoo for 2 nights. We had to go down and pick up. Towels are old like and breakfast really poor. Elevators take years to come. Internet very slow. Anyway. If you can. Go somewhere else
The hotel cheats their guests. They sold us a room, which in spite of the description at the hotel's web site did not have air conditioning working properly. The rooms were below the promised standard and did not seem to be very clean or inviting. The hotel refused to give us our money back in spite of their agreeing with the fact, they were selling us a product, they did not deliver. They wanted to place us in another hotel of the same chain, but we did not dare accepting it. All in all a very bad experience. Our council to furture guests: go anywhere else if you can.
