Interesting architecture: An older building partially preserved with lavish modern additions. Friendly and very competent reception staff, with quick decision-making, too (about charges or check out, things like that). A bar and a small restaurant on the ground floor, very nice breakfast buffet. Rooms are not huge but good division of space and very comfortable (separate armchair, writing desk). Bathroom relatively small but absolutely everything was there. Nice part of town, street in front of hotel was under renovation but taxis could drive up. Had some snack food in the bar, was good, drinks too. A 4.5 rating.
The hotel is very well located in an exclusive part of Buenos Aires. It is walking distance to multiple quality restaurants. The staff is very professional, welcoming and provides exceptional customer service. The boutique hotel competes with the best in Buenos Aires without the traffic others may attract....
Outstanding location closert to downtown in an european neighborhood. Service is excellent. A great placey to stay for visiting Buenos Aires. Beautiful large rooms and wonderfull bar in tLa Bibliotheque and Cafe Arroyo
In addition to being a beautiful building, architecture aimed at the guest, what impressed me most was the kindness and dedication of the staff. From the reception, where Mario, in charge of the concierge and front desk, did everything possible to please us, even the cleaning staff, all without exception. And the service from the lounge bar (La Bibliotheque and Cafe Arroyo) is wonderful. The rooms are large and very comfortable.
My room at the Sofitel was beautiful. Very comfortable bed, big pile of pillows in case you're into that kind of thing. Breakfast was great and the service was outstanding. My group was out in the lobby early and it meant a lot that one of the employees spontaneously went up to us and offered to get us all coffee to go. Be sure to check out the bar downstairs from the nearby flower shop. My only complaint is that the internet was a little dicey. Mostly worked well enough, though. This is a great place to stay for business in Buenos Aires.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, not far from Florence Street and a nice morning walk to the nearby parks and other attractions. The area felt safe at night whilst out wandering . The staff were so helpful regarding everything. Good breakfasts and very clean . An unusual thing is no kettle or cups in room for your morning and evening cuppa. One requested tho a kettle was brought to our room pronto. Recommend this hotel.
I have been many times to this hotel and I am always pleased and happy with my stay. Perfectly located in Retiro, close to major avenues and the highway to the north area of Buenos Aires. Close to restaurant area known as the Recova which has a good selection of restaurants. It is also close to a few major tourist attractions like Plaza San Martin and Florida street. A small slip in this stay was that when I entered my room there was another guest already in. But the manager in charge fixed that immediately and offered my an upgrade and a free drink as a courtesy after this incident. The staff specially Antonella at the Le Sud restaurant is really kind and helpful. I have no doubts, whenever I stay in Buenos Aires I will stay at the Sofitel Arroyo.
Booked here over a year ago, and glad we did. Beautiful Hotel in the elegant district. Nothing to fault about the Hotel, the young front of house staff were a pleasure to deal with. The home of Air New Zealand flight crew, and the time we stayed there was a large contingent of Kiwis in the House.
This hotel is an antique architecture but remodeled as new! Very well located, amazing service, very friendly staff, great rooms with all necessary amenities, pillow menu, good restaurants, gym, pool, business center, Wi-Fi, cocktail bar, etc. Almost perfect but you can not blame the hotel: a renovation of the street is going on ... noisy, dust, and difficult traffic.... otherwise it would be a complete "wow"!!!
We stayed here for a weekend, and from the moment we arrived the stay here was fantastic. The arrival/entry area is open, light and inviting. The staff could all speak English and wanted to ensure that everything went well. Nothing was too hard for them. The room was very nice, and spacious, we had a Junior Suite. Couldn't really have asked for more. There is a pillow menu, they will provide in room yoga/Pilates equipment to exercise in the privacy of your room. Breakfast was included in the room cost and the restaurant had everything that we wanted, including a hot dish and buffet cold dishes. Not sure if this hotel would be suitable for a bigger family, but for couples I highly recommend it. The neighborhood appeared safe and we walked around a bit in the evening, there is a supermarket around the corner to grab some snacks and drinks, if you are feeling peckish.
