Lovely old school hotel, European style rooms. Very comfortable, great staff, great location in Buenos Aires. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Bar and breakfast service was very nice, concierge was incredibly helpful with making reservations and handling details for guests whose Spanish is not up to the task.

The reason for me just giving 3 is some small things that I don't think a great hotel like Sofitel should do. The hotel itself is great, good rooms and location... But... First of all we didn't get filled up with amenities like soap etc for 3 days and had to ask for more... Secondly I asked twice for a bathrobe since we got only one and didn't get it delivered to the room at all. Thirdly it was a guy in the breakfast that apparently didn't like me asking for more butter and seriously just asked me why I wanted more since we had gotten already to the table when we sat down. Don't really think that a little butter is such a bad thing to ask about :)

Stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon (we visited 4 cities total). The staff made it very special and sent chocolates and champagne to our room. Maria and Hernan from the front desk were especially helpful. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located.

THe hotel itself is great - not sure I can provide a specific age but it is period style and not modern. Everything is thoughtful and available. FRom checkin to check out it was a great experience IT is located in a distinctly upscale neighborhood - even the local mall

This is a great hotel! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast each morning offered many different types of foods - hot and cold. The eggs Benedict were my favorite by far! Great coffee and fresh squeezed juice. The wine list at Le Sud was great - Atamisque Malbec is a new favorite. The restaurant has a French flair and is very delicious. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They booked an English speaking tour guide for us - great!! The concierge was wonderful - the dinner recommendations were spot on. Would definitely return.

finally one of the few great hotels left that has perfect staff and a great concierge service. our suite was nice even though not very spacious. the location of the hotel is excellent and quiet. very nice babysitterservice by the conciergeteam in german! breakfast is good.

Spent a week at the hotel doing meetings as well. All went pretty well. Rooms and facilities are great. Breakfast is amazing The only thing the hotel can improve is the organization and agility during service from the staff, all really eager to help and solve any kind of issues but it felt, like the hotel was lack of staff or something was missing. The neighborhood couldn't be better.

This was my third stay here in four years, and an already excellent hotel only gets better. Start with the neighborhood. You have either Recoleta or Plaza San Martin at your fingertips. Arroyo street is one of the prettiest in all of BA. The hotel entrance and lobby is architecturally impressive. You will always be greeted by the hotel's impeccable staff with politeness and efficiency. The ground floor dining room and bar across from each other are both beautiful facilities with friendly staffs. The rooms are simply fabulous. Comfortable beds, adequate space to include a desk, plenty of closet space, well appointed bathrooms, and everything is well lit. With any luck at all, you will be spending several days here and find time for the basement pool, sauna, and workout area. After a ten hour flight from New York, my only disappointment is my stay was for just two days.

I stayed here for 10 days in May on business and had a fabulous stay. All of the staff were fantastic, but special mentions to the concierge and front desk staff- nothing was too much trouble, and the tangoshow, small group tour and. Walking tour recommendations were fabulous. . Breakfast was great and room lovely. My only small disappointment was room service- quite a small menu and quality of food not as good as I had hoped. That said, a truly stunning hotel whose staff make it. Thank you all so much

We have been to Buenos Aires over eight times and have stayed and multiple hotels around the city, therefore I believe to have a good point of reference. This is without a doubt the best hotel in Buenos Aires! The rooms although on the small side, are perfectly decorated in a classic style. The staff is phenomenal: they greeted us by our names (how do they do it!), knew that we had two reservation one week apart, offered us to leave things at the hotel to reduce our load while traveling around the country since we were staying there our last night before leaving the country, and on and on. The staff is just superb. We also ate at their restaurant and its a french culinary delight and highly recommended also. I will look no further....this is where I will always stay in Buenos Aires and look forward to my next visit!
