With Sheraton or any other international hotel brand you know what you get. This hotel is no different great room nice temp and good bed. The breakfast buffet is super great, better than other Sheraton hotels i have stayed at. It has a nice gym an pool area on the top floor. Location vice it’s nicely located downtown BA. It’s a bit costly but you get good value for money. One thing to note they are pretty good in charging you extra for everything like late check out....
Excellent service from all functions. Dated rooms but clean. Bathrooms well serviced. Good security, thus safe. Good breakfast. Good room service. Not too expensive and you get what you pay for. A lot to see and shop at walking distance.
Adorable reception staff, very kind and respectful. Hotel is perfectly located in microcentro, 1 minute walk to Galerias Pacifico mall and Florida pedestrian st. The hotel rooms are cozy but furniture looks like you are traveling in a time machine to the 80’s Although the TV is modern 😉 Breakfast is Ok, still I would always suggest to have brunch in an Argentinian cafeterias (there is per example a “Pani” store 2 blocks from the hotel)
We stayed at the Sheraton Liberator for a conference in Puerto Madera, which is nearby. This is a very good 4-star hotel which is clean, bright and well-kept, with professional, helpful and courteous English-speaking staff. (Of note, there is also a higher-end Sheraton in a different, but nearby, section of Buenos Aires). We stayed on the club level floor, and felt we had all the amenities needed for a comfortable 1-week stay. (Amenities included a safe, mini fridge, complimentary bottled water, bathrobe/slippers, full length mirror, coffee/tea pot and turn-down service. Irons are available on request). The staff in the concierge room are friendly and accommodating, although it would have been nice to have experienced a little more variety in the breakfast and afternoon food choices after so many days. The hotel has a well-heated indoor pool with generous hours (6am – 10pm). Some guests managed to swim laps, although I found the square shape a little too awkward to do so. The gym is adequately equipped for a few guests at a time. Of note, the hotel does not exchange money, but there are plenty of ATMs in the area. I found the HSBC ATM in the nearby mall on Av. Florida to be the quickest, as the screen immediately appears in English. I would definitely stay here on future trips to BA.
Hotel staff is really friendly. WiFi is overpriced and the rooms are not that great. Breakfast was good, with good amount of options. I could have been better considering this hotel costs about 200 USD per night.
While this was one of the most expensive places to stay in Buenos Aires (About $200/night and $50 more if you want WiFi) it was a welcome, safe, comfortable night. Rafael at the front desk could not have been more helpful. He was professional and what you'd expect from Sheraton's service. As a former hotel exec myself, I appreciate a team that consistently delivers and this team did! While the lobby is impressive, the rooms are just "ok" for that price in Buenos Aires. And, I wish Sheraton would keep up with the times and not charge that $50/night for WiFi on the executive floor...Sheraton - it's 2017:) WiFi is supposed to be FREE, remember? The hotel did throw in "snacks" and free wine on the exec floor which was included in the price of the $50 WiFi and I didn't actually have to go out to dinner, as there were 4 entrees offered along with the "snacks". So, I didn't mind paying it. Plus, I needed to be connected to work and family so... I've never traveled completely alone this far from home before and in a foreign country, no less, where my second language is French and that doesn't help me here:) But, the hotel staff spoke fluent English and I was made to feel welcome from the moment I stepped out of my taxi! There were two beds in the room. Thankfully, one of them was a quality bed. The other? Let's just say that bed belonged in a Motel 6. It was out of shape, and has seen better days (hmmm...reminds me of myself!). The carpet in my room was super stained and I also had to crawl under the night stand to plug in my laptop and phone. Couldn't figure out how to adjust the room temperature and then read another review that maintenance needs to do it for you. So - Sheraton - another necessary upgrade needed here. But seriously, I was too jet lagged and tired after traveling for 27 hours, and bundled up and went to sleep. I went to the 22nd floor to look at the pool and workout facilities and also requested a spa services menu. The spa attendant's English was almost non existent, but with a winning round of charades and using many hand gestures - we communicated just fine:) The pool looked clean but there was no ambience for the spa services (it was like checking in at your local gym without the eye candy) and the menu only had prices listed for the massages and nothing else on old, watered paper. And, for those spa prices in BA? Sheraton, you'd better greet me with cucumber water, fuzzy slippers and a perfect English speaking attendant. I decided to book my spa services elsewhere. And, finally, my card was actually charged through TripAdvisor and Amex sent me a notification as such. However, when I tried to check-in, they also charged me (I was just too tired to argue at that point). But, the next morning, I saw it was removed from my card and only the $50 for the WiFi upgrade was charged. So, they fixed it. Overall, safe, friendly and quasi-clean. But, on my next two scheduled trips to BA, I'll be using Airbnb. Sorry, Sheraton.
We are Sheraton Platinum members & had booked 5 nights using our free awards, our airline cancelled the flight to BA at the last minute, I called the hotel & encountered Sharon on the phone telling her of our plight. She assured me that our room would be there when we arrived a day later & true to her word it was ready & a lovely room with club lounge access. Every employee who we came into contact with was wonderful, want to mention Nilda in the lounge, always remembered our names & room number & what we liked to drink, even when the lounge was full. The lounge provides a breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes, breads cereal. There is an afternoon tea/coffee & desserts. In the evening a pasta dish, vegetables, rice or potatoes, and a meat dish. Also cheese & desserts. Wine is served after 630pm. This is the best location in BA 1 block from Florida Street, 2 blocks from the Pacific Galleria, & a 15 minute walk to the Opera house. Some really good restaurants near by. Felt safe in the area as we walked everywhere, but we're usually in by 700pm. The rooms are not real large (more like European) but comfortable & very clean, was nice to come home every night to the Sheraton. We had excellent Wi-Fi in our room.
I used to go to Buenos Aires often for work way-back-when and I used to dream staying at this hotel. For you to see you have to be careful what you ask for, since one day you may get it but in different circumstances……. Anyway… the hotel is well located and it is not expensive. The bed was comfortable. Those are the good aspects… And there may be more, if you forget you are in a Sheraton. Lower your expectations and you should be fine. Service in the front desk was not fantastic, but part of that is due to the complex check-in and check-out procedures that take time, allow for errors and require an enormous time to fix errors. Maybe they should ask for some information from the guest in advance, to expedite check-in and allow departing guests to check out the previous night to avoid long lines in the morning. Room service staff was very cordial and the food was OK. The hotel room however has seen better days. The carpet is used up and gives a bad impression, the room smells like a nursing home (I left the window open during my entire stay), the bed lights seem to be at least 20+ years old. You can’t adjust the temperature since you need the maintenance staff to come to your room for that. The closet door was not closing properly, and the bathroom was dated and it looked used. You will wet the floor A LOT during a regular shower. Breakfast tasted good but the waiters should be more attentive offering you more coffee (they assume one per guest is enough) or make it available for you to self-serve if you want more.
After a long and tiring journey out to Argentina this time, the Sheraton Libertador really served us as a home away from home. We loved our end of the corridor room ( Number 2001) facing Avenida Cordoba and could really relax there over two days. The 21st Floor Club Floor was as stunning as ever and I found the women attendants there to be very helpful and impeccably courteous. The Gym on the 22nd Floor was good for letting off steam.
Excellent location, near Florida street and Galleria Pacifico mall. Great food, many options for breakfast, not many for other meals but the food is tasty. The building is a little bit old, check if there's mold in your room before accommodate, it happened to me.
