Sheraton Libertador Hotel4.5 out of 5.0

The hotel is well located, however, it is " tired" and it is time to remodel...the staff try to work the best way they can, but we wait in line to do the check-in the for the check-out. The staff was really great, the food in the hotel was very good as well, but you are in Argentina and options to eat well are spread all over the city and you should try it.
With great location and spacious rooms it was a nice choice with a little over the top prices for the rooms I deff recommend to all who want a great space and location in the buenos aires area. Near the mall
Two nights here and trying to arrange service in the only bar.reception area for any food either at lunchtime or dinner was torturous. Our room was very comfortable and in some part made up for this. There was no view other than roof tops and apartment buildings but the location was good and enabled easy exploring on foot.
The Sheraton Liberatador was the destination of a series of regional work meetings. The front desk and concierge staff was excellent and got this hotel to four stars. The rooms were nice, but as described in other posts it is dated. The bathroom in my room was cramped and the door would not fully open as it hit the tub.... The breakfast service on the 22nd floor was nice and the city view spectacular. I had the water view and the sunrise was a great way to start the day!!! There was no 110 in the room, but the staff quickly provided an adapter.
The Sheraton Libertador is an average business class hotel. The location is decent as there are a number of restaurants and stores, including an upscale mall, just down the street. The subte (metro) is a good hike from the hotel although it's walkable. One bit of advice on the location: Make sure to let your taxi or Uber driver know it's the Sheraton Libertador (on Cordoba) as they will almost always confuse it with the Sheraton Convention Center. The rooms are decently sized but the furnishings are rather dated. In my room, there was visible water damage on the ceiling with brown-stained drywall. I had a junior suite and there was only one large screen TV (with plenty of channels), and that was in the small bedroom. I would have preferred one in the living room area as well. The bathrooms are oddly laid out with a toilet and shower in one room and the sink in another. The shower fixtures are rather difficult to operate, never finding that happy medium between scalding hot and freezing cold. On the positive side, housekeeping were prompt and did a great job of cleaning the room every day. The small executive lounge left a lot to be desired. The food variety was lacking and the food quality was average at best. Luckily, the staff in the lounge were efficient, friendly, and helpful. There wasn't anything particularly attractive about the view from the lounge as it overlooked only decrepit, generic Latin American buildings (you know that style of architecture). On the other hand, the pool on the top floor was quite large for what you'd expect. The gym next to it was above average for a standard hotel with enough weights and cardio machines. The lobby was well maintained and comfortable to pass time. The front desk staff were professional and accommodating. The elevator configuration was confusing with a 3rd elevator around the corner - you never knew which one had arrived. Overall, I give the Sheraton Libertador a solid 3 stars. It is a rather standard, nondescript Sheraton which could use some serious updating. The location and staff are what make this hotel a reasonable choice for business travelers. If you are a picky SPG member, then I would suggest looking at another Sheraton or at the Westin.
Not your typical Sheraton property. This is a dated and tired 2 or 3 star hotel. Cannot complain about its location, but other than that, I do not see any other reason to recommend it. Breakfast was a disappointment, with very limited options offered in a run-down room.
This is about a trip we had to cancel because of the sudden tragic death of my wife's sister. The cruise line Celebrity allowed us to reschedule to the same route January 2018. As did Lufthansa for the Frankfurt - BuenosAires. We had booked the hotel via bookings.com for a 2 night Stopover. We provided the hotel with the death certificate and wanted to change to next year, even offering to stay one more day. To our dismay they declined ,finally only offering to postpone til June of this year, which did not help as at all as Antarctica cruises take place only in Winter. This kind of customer care is unacceptable👎👎👎
The Sheraton Libertador in Buenos Aires has a great location. On Av. Cordoba, a major artery of the city; and it is one block from Calle Florida, the main all-pedestrian shopping thoroughfare. And right at that corner is the fabulous Gallerias Pacifrico shopping mall, which compares very favorably in its elegance to Galleria LaFayette in Paris. Across the street is also one of the stops for the hop-on/hop-off tourist buses. As for the hotel itself, it is very nice; and the staff helpful in every regard. Large buffet breakfast is included with the room rate; and it is served from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM -- a nice change from some hotels that wrap up the breakfast a lot earlier. Our room was very nice and spacious (compared to the stateroom that we had just had on a cruise ship for 21 days!). The hotel also has a very nice fitness room and pool on the 22nd (top) floor, which also affords a great view of the central part of Buenos Aires. This is a very large metropolitan city; but many of the most popular attractions are within walking distance or a short cab ride from the hotel.
Stayed there after a cruise and found the room was older but beautifully modernized. Staff and amenities were beyond reproach. Room service was perfect and all other service impeccable. Location best in BA. Highly recommended.
A very convenient and safe location to stay in Buenos Aires. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Reception and lobby bar operate 24 hours. Hotel is very close to an excellent, modern and safe Galleria where there are good restaurants, a fast food court and a wide variety of good shops. Very convenient. Hotel has fast free WiFi in public places. Would definitely stay there again.
