Pestana Buenos Aires Hotel

I stayed at the Pestana for about five weeks this winter. The deluxe room was sparsely furnished, but with a very comfortable bed. The suite with balcony that I eventually moved to was lovely, chic, and worth the extra money with a truly fantastic view. Traffic noise on the 9 de Julio side was astonishingly well insulated considering the magnitude of the traffic. Blackout curtains. Not much noise from room to room, although the occasional very loud neighbor was audible. Impeccable housekeeping. Friendly staff, who assisted with booking cars, booking a tango show with a good discount, advice on day trips, the occasional photocopy. Breakfast had great variety and was generously served. No room service, which is surprising for this class of hotel. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi are lovely, but could perhaps be cleaner (especially the jacuzzi). All in all, a very pleasant and practical stay.

I stayed in this hotel during a business trip for over one week. The facility is somehow old (I stayed in a room on the 12th and last floor), but the service and location are quite good. Breakfast lacks variety but has some good stuff. Limited options for lunch/dinner but always good quality. No mini bar or in-room service. Their sandwiches are excellent, but you need to pick them up yourself. Staff is very helpful. Internet connection with wi-fi is free and works well.

Hotel is centrally located with good access to the city. Has a small lobby bar and usual breakfast buffet. Breakfast was included in the rate. It was pretty good though I've seen better. Hotel personnel was friendly and ready to help. Room was clean and comfortable. I was upgraded to a suite which had two bathrooms and a balcony. Would highly recommend to a family though not with really young kids as I'm not sure if the sliding glass door to the balcony actually locked. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel very well located in Buenos Aires, with a very well decorated, spacious and organized lobby. Elevators working properly and the room is quite spacious, clean and well organized. Everything working perfectly. Air conditioning a little noisy and the bathroom leaves the hotel age, with small leaks and minor repairs on the door. Breakfast good, with plenty of options and very quiet.

The Pestana Hotel Buenos Aires is a good hotel in a very convenient location. All the staff is top notch. Polite, polite, polite... The room is spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed super comfortable with good linens, pillows, etc. We liked it a lot. The cold/hot breakfast was good and sufficient. Nice pool and there was a gym available. Everything almost perfect. Unfortunately, the internet wasn't good and this ruined a perfect stay. All in all, we plan to go back to this hotel and we recommend it.

We had a large room on the seventh floor overlooking the 9 julio avenida making us feel one with the city. The room was excellent although the shower was in connection with the bathtub. If you are not afraid of walking a mile or two a lot of the major attractions are within walking distance. In the area are plenty excellent restaurants and the Pasific shopping mall is only 10-15 min. away. Although easy access to restaurants in the area we ate a couple of times at the hotel. Excellent meals and fair prices.Swimming pool in the cellar has an excellent size although somewhat crowded in weekend with Argentinian's not knowing to swim. Breakfast just OK compared to what we experienced i Brazil.

I was there one week due to a business trip. Hotel accommodations are nice. Have a good restaurant so dinner was ver good. For breakfast I still have missing more variety like turkey ham or lactose free yogurt and cold water. I was expecting to have more attention into details like one free water bottle a nice chocolate things that you basically receive in hotel of threes stars. Bed was really nice but room cleanness not that great. I have to move a furniture in order to look up for a plug and find some accumulate dust on the floor. People are the best and give you a very nice experience they are always helpful and with a smile

Good location, clean, comfy bed, helpful reception, nice breakfast, free wifi, and nice indoor pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi on the plus side but I really missed having tea and coffee facilities in the room and no complimentary water in the room either! I thought this was standard for a 4 star hotel, but having just arrived in another 4 star hotel in Argentina, perhaps it's normal practice here.

Came here first after a grueling 19 hour flight to find the check-in process smooth and our room ready. The room was clean and on the 7th floor, but we were so tired that we didn't notice the traffic noise. Later at 3:37 am I did hear the traffic and would have requested either higher or away from the front of the hotel. Room service was quick and the food was hot and tasty. Staff has all been pleasant enough. If we were going to spend more than one night here, I would have requested a room change away from the noise. In all, I think it was worth the price and I would stay here again.

A well maintained 4-stars hotel with good breakfast, beds and wifi just at the city center with assess to both public transport and taxi. Good choice for those for business traveler. The down side is the style a bit old.
