The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood, with pleasant walks to the Recoleta Cemetary and the parks and neighborhoods northwest of there, as well as east to the Plaza San Martin area. It's a taxi ride to other areas (such as La Boca and Puerto Madero), but taxis and Ubers in BA seemed inexpensive and omnipresent to us. The hotel straddles the block between Av. Alvear (which is fronted by the grand front of the original building) and Posadas (which is the modern side of the hotel). Our room was on the modern side, and a large underground passageway connects the two sides with a very pleasant courtyard in the middle. The staff at the hotel provide excellent and attentive service. Our room was beautiful and spacious in the usual modern Park Hyatt style - including the common issue we've found with Park Hyatts of never being able to quite figure out how the lights work. Would certainly stay here again.

This is a Park Hyatt experience and it doesn’t fail to deliver. From the beautiful art and flowers on display in the underground passage to the tranquility of the terrace, you get a sense of luxury and peace throughout the hotel. Rooms were clean, bathrooms spacious and gym and spa area inviting for an early morning workout. The standard breakfast offering was comprehensive but the a la carte eggs with grilled vegetables on the side was a nice surprise in a city that is not known for lavish breakfasts. The best thing about the hotel were the staff. The Concierge booked us Boca tickets, got us into an exclusive restaurant (that had been fully booked when we tried minutes before!) and did his best to get some Teatro Colon tickets for us (alas, there were no shows on the weekend we were there). They also gave us a special welcoming gift since it was a special occasion for us. A special mention for the assistant general manager, Andrea, too. We had a slight issue with our room and she dealt with the situation in a friendly, courteous and flexible manner. We’re already looking forward to our next Park Hyatt experience. Highly recommended.

And at first I was disappointed. Let me explain: The Hyatt complex in BA consists of two buildings which front on parallel streets, connected by a common lawn and an underground tunnel. The Palacio building is antique and elegant---it's what's shown in the promotional photos. The guest that isn't staying in a suite is unlikely to be in that building, he's more likely to be housed in the "Sheraton" wing, the new and fairly charmless building, which is where we were put. So when we got there, I was disappointed not to have been placed in the Palacio. But the new building is new, which has it's advantages too. Everything was well-laid out and working. More important, the concierege and the business center are in the new building, and let me digress to say that the concierge service is excellent and the business center is spacious and free of additional charges. Mostly, though, the Park Hyatt BA has the most stupendous service I have ever had in a hotel: They seem to track requests and follow up on them. We felt like we had a personal assistant and valet. Six star service. We ate half our meals in BA at the Terrace restaurant in the old building---good caesar salad and not too expensive, and nice fish specials. The patisserie in the hotel has the same wonderfully decadent deserts at $4.00 each that you can get in New York or Paris for $7.50 each. We have been at the Park Hyatts in Paris, New York, and Milan, and this is the best of them.

The Park Hyatt BA is a very special hotel. The building is historic and incredible. It is fun to just explore the hotel grounds. We stayed here twice before and after our visit to Iguazu Falls. The hotel stored our extra bags for us since we didn't need to bring everything with us. The hotel staff & service is flawless. The guests rooms were very spacious. We stayed in both towers the rooms had differences so it was fun to experience both. We were able to walk to many of the sites in BA. I will definitely return to the Park Hyatt BA!

We had a beautiful room in the Palacio section of the hotel. Excellent indoor pool and spa. Great workout room. A great place to rest and relax and enjoy the sights of Buenos Aires after recovering from a long flight. Service is excellent! Top notch. Beautiful courtyard. A wonderful way to experience Buenos Aires.

Just a big rambling comfortable hotel. Right in the middle of Mendoza dishing out great service and pleasure to its international custom; this time to 41 Masters of Wine. One statuesque hotel, super staff going the extra mile offering diligent service and a pleasant stay to guests. So I enjoyed this stay; spacious room, easy to sleep, efficient breakfast service as a buffet and top omelets made to taste. And we had a great seminar in a conference room one morning. Another big space well set and comfy. Thanks Hyatt.

Everything about our stay was first class. This hotel takes service serious and whether it was early check-in, getting us futbol tickets or museum tours, they delivered! The location is great, demeanor of the staff was friendly and helpful and it made it easy to relax and enjoy Buenos Aires.

We had a meeting at this hotel and the event space options, food quality and service level was outstanding. The guest rooms were thoughtfully laid out and the hotel staff were very accommodating. Without leaving the property, we were able to provide a variety of experiences for our guests. I would not hesitate to come back.

We stayed 3 nights before embarking on an Antartica cruise. This was a fabulous hotel--beautiful on the inside and outside. Our upgraded suite was well furnished and large by any standards. The bathroom was also spacious and well, really nice. The accommodations were perfect. Only negative were some glass partitions which confused me and I almost ran into. The staff was welcoming and helpful in all ways. We had early morning bird tours and our (included) breakfast was always available. Compliant over a wine and cheese tasting that was included in our room arrangements. When we inquired about scheduling it was informed it was not available because that restaurant was closed for the week. Surely the hotel could have arranged the tasting in the other restaurant or sent us cheese and wine to the room. Or at least informed us about the situation before we had to ask. If ever in B.A. again, I would stay at the Palacio and recommend it to all travelers who value their comfort. However, I doubt we will be there again and promise of a wine and cheese tasting isn't quite enough motivation.

Overpriced for such a terrible hotel. Flies swarming the breakfast buffet as they leave the door open to the garden almost as if they want to invite them in. Service was painfully slow if it even existed at all. Most of the time breakfast are of the Duhau section was unstaffed and so we couldn't even enjoy that area at all, instead having to suck up the fly fest at the other area for breakfast. If there was service, it was often full of error. Leaving other people's laundry in the room, servicing the room at the wrong time, often bringing the wrong items from the ones requested and even banging up my luggage to a tree upon checkout because the careless bellboy didn't properly set the luggage trolley. Furnishings in the room were falling apart and untidy to the point that they weren't hygienic. Balcony area of the suite was filled with bird poo which clearly no one has bothered to clean for years. Seat cushions of balcony seating were moldy. Curtains in living room would often collapse on its own. TV didn't even work the first night we were there. Scuffs all over the furnishing make them all look old and tired. All in all, is this seriously a 5 star hotel? Not worth the money and I would seriously consider the Four Seasons which looks way better. This hotel is a joke.
