An exceptional room and dining experience. Quiet neighborhood very close to many attractions. Pleasant, helpful staff. Be sure to take advantage of the wonderful garden terrace dining and spa. Highly recommended.
Truly a wonderful experience. I was only there for 3 days for business, but enjoy every minute. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was very helpful in helping meet plan my travel around town and visiting tourist sites. I feel that I was being pampered.
Had a two week stay for business so I got the full experience (minus the spa). Room service food and hotel employees are top notch. The location is great and safe. Very near the park, restaurants and shopping.
We spend a night only. The room on the 15th floor (which was sold to us an "upgrade") was rather old and small. But it was clean, the bed was good, the shower and the products excellent. We also used the fitness which has good equipments but is a bit "messy", in the sense that everything has been place a bit random and it is difficult to find a corner to stretch or do your own exercices. Staff at the reception was friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience but will need some refurbishment soon.
This beautiful luxury Park Hyatt hotel sits one block away from the famous Recoleta Cemetary, site of Evita Peron's grave and burial site for Argentina's wealthy and famous citizens. Its a beautiful hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. It incorporates an original 19th century palace with a modern new tower in elegant style. Beautiful room in new wing, wonderful food choices (fab high tea populated by glamorous ladies and hall ways and public spaces filled with art. We got sick there and the concierge was beyond the call of duty helpful, getting doctor and filling RXs. I would always stay there due to the level of service
It's just a delight staying at the Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau, everything is smooth and enjoyable, all concerns are taken care of immediately, from the front desk to Housekeping to room service to the restaurant staff, simply a delightful 8-nights experience.
My wife and I were on vacation in Buenos Aires for a month. We already own an apartment in Buenos Aires but we wanted to splurge one night and booked a suite over at the Park Hyatt. I've stayed here before in the normal rooms (Posadas street side) and they were nice. But this time we were upgraded to one of the 23 suites on the Avenida Alvear side and the suites are amazing! We stayed in Suite #305 and it was quite spacious. The bed was very comfortable, they had an Elsafe big electronic safe big enough for my laptop and also had power outlets inside of the safe which was nice. They had electronic blackout blinds. The bathroom was really luxurious with a big soaking tub and a rainfall shower. Marble throughout. The staff was all super friendly. We ate lunch at the Italian restaurant on the Posadas side and it was ok. Nothing too special but there is a great view outside facing up to the Alvear side. We ate dinner at the main restaurant and the food was good. At first we were sitting out on the balcony but the heat lamps weren't working that well. I'd suggest that they make sure they have gas in all of them as the waitress tried lighting several of them and it seems like several were out of gas. They did move us inside to a table. We booked a couples massage in the Spa and I have to say this is my biggest disappointment. While the actual massage was good, the spa is NOTHING compared to the Four Seasons spa. The Four Seasons has a really nice Spa with a wet spa and a dry sauna. They only had a dry sauna and a jacuzzi tub but the water looked disgusting. It is also very small. The Four Seasons has a relaxation room with nice chairs to lay down and read the newspaper. Not so here at the Park Hyatt. I was surprised how small it was compared to the Four Seasons. We checked out late as we're top tier Hyatt members (Globalists). The manager of the hotel was very nice and came over to us and said he noticed we were using a lot of the facilities and hoped we liked it. That was nice of him. The only thing I'd mention to the hotel is that some maintenance is required in the room. For example in #305 some of the rooms were badly scratched to the point where there is a hole in the wall. We were upgraded but I can't imagine paying $1,000+ per night and seeing walls deteriorated like that. Also, note that they were doing some construction of repairing a sidewalk so there was some noise during the day on the Avenida Alvear side. But all in all a fabulous hotel and definitely even more fabulous if you can get an upgrade to the Palace side on Avenida Alvear side.
The Park Hyatt BA is a wonderful experience. The hotel design is stunning. The gardens between the new and old parts of the facility and the underground walkway connecting the two (complete with art exhibit featuring a BA artist) are very aesthetically pleasing. The staff is very friendly and has very good English. Room service is quite good. We had a cocktail party in our suite, and all the particulars were very well attended to. We hated to leave.
I spent two nights before heading to Iguazu Falls and had an amazing time. The hotel was very quiet but had a buzzing cigar bar and amazing spa. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even persuaded me to upgrade to a wonderful suite which gave me the extra space I needed. Food was excellent at the Restaurants. This hotel is definitely one of the best I have stayed at and I would want to come again on my next visit to Argentina.
