The Park Hyatt Buenos Aires offers exceptional service and amenities in an exquisite setting in the heart of Buenos Aires. We were treated like royalty there. The concierge was exceptionally helpful - ordering transportation and arranging tours for us. The employees all spoke fluent English. It was a pleasure to have the spa on site. The young women working evenings at the spa was attentive and gracious.
It's a very impressed hotel on the heart of Buenos Aires. Loved it. Breakfast is expensive, but worthwhile. Gym was ok! AC it was a bit noisy, but effective. All the staff had a great attitude. Looking forward to my next trip there.
Very friendly staff.. really good food and a lot of variety during breakfast. Good place to stay and excellent location. The room was really big and it also has a small terrace and a balcony. The lights in the room were kind of confusing but everything was good. You can go walking almost everywhere.
It's hard to imagine a better hotel experience than what I enjoyed this past week at Palacio Duhau-Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. While pricey, for sure, it delivered excellent value. Stunning aesthetics, quiet, outstanding location, superb service. A nice cocktail in the Oak Bar is the perfect way to end the day. Simply wonderful!
At the end of a 14 hour flight it was a perfect Oasis to begin our Argentina travel. Our room was not ready, so they sat us down for a complimentary lunch off a menu on the terrace of the original palace. Our room - with a seperate lounge and 1 1/2 bathroom - had the most comfortable bed. My husband slept in, but I enjoyed empanadas and a beautiful glass of Argentina red - recommended by the waitress. Prices for food and wine not bad at all. I loved people watching here as Argentinians -young and old -enjoy the restaurants here as well. On this trip we celebrated a special Anniversary and one evening we returned to a chilled bottle of sparkling wine, a platter of 3 desserts, and lovely hand written letter from our assigned staff! PROS: Excellent staff - young, well spoken in English, and very knowledgable about their country. Nothing was a problem. They advised us on the best way to get to La Bocca for a special dinner at Patagonia Sur Restaurant. The bellboy even wrote down the number of the radio taxi for us in case we left something behind in it. Whoever trains their staff is to be given a raise! Breakfast was perfect with lots of options and choices - we ate in the new building and original one. Buffalo yogurt was beautiful! And lots of fresh fruit and breakfast meats etc. Definitely include the breakfast when booking! Was able to change a few hundred USD at the front desk - it was a higher rate but don't mind paying for the convenience. BIG PRO: Bottled water - still or sparkling, nespresso coffee, and tea - are well stocked in the room and unlimited. Even by the swimming pool and gym with a bowl of fresh fruit. At the business centre, there was also coffee with complimentary macarons! Little touches like this makes it the 5 star experience! The other two places we stayed at had a quota and a limit. I'd rather pay a little extra and not have to think about how many coffees I will use in our room! Our flight wasn't leaving until the late afternoon - so we checked out by the correct time and stayed on the property. They also held our luggage for us while we spent 4 days in Mendoza - even though we stayed elsewhere upon our return to the city. Location, location, location. Definitely Recoleta for us was perfect - felt the extra presence of police due to the embassies being located there. Good shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Smoking in the Oak Bar is a big plus. And no smell of the smokers too. CONS: Can't think of any! Will be returning definitely. And might consider other Park Hyatt properties now!
We are frequent guests at the Palacio Duhau as we have a home in Patagonia and often stay a night or more in Buenos Aires. This is one of the world's best hotels. the accommodations and facilities are special and the staff consistently excellent. Concierge Valeria Brauer is extraordinary in her service.
My wife and I recently stayed here for 4 days. Had successful early check-in and late check-out. Front desk staff for check-in and out were great. Concierge service excellent. Bell service was excellent. Breakfast service was very good. Room on 6th floor , (new tower), was clean and quiet. Housekeeping was very good with only one day the room did not get cleaned until early afternoon. Bedding, towels were very good. Room lighting was somewhat difficult to comprehend. Only negative was that the room itself showed signs of wear...needs a refurbishing. In a great location with great staff. Will stay here again.
The Park Hyatt never disappoints and this location was no exception. The highlights are the amazing courtyard - simply a magical view while eating or sipping cocktails day or night - and a remarkably well trained and attentive staff. Will definitely be back.
This hotel is beautiful. Luxurious. The main building it's an old, beautiful house and they built a hotel tower in the same property. The rooms are very comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and beautiful with a classic feel to them. Service is good. You can enter the hotel from 2 streets which makes it confusing. The main address it's on the house side which is a problem as the hotel is on the other side, which makes you walk and go up and down some stairs. The gym is great, very functional. The restaurant is great for breakfast, I really didn't try lunch or dinner. One issue I found is that they do not have taxis at the hotel that you can use. You can wait for a long time for hotel personnel to haul a taxi for you. Additionally, you cannot charge taxis to your hotel bill. A high-end hotel should have the ability to charge a taxi to your room.
Expensive hotel in Retiro-Recoleta with excellent staff, adequate gym and large pool . Plentiful quality breakfast with healthy selections (if you wish). Nice bedroom and super bathroom, although we heard street noise the night of the national celebration. The hotel is in two parts (separate entrances, adjoining buildings), so it is a bit of effort to get around. I thought the hotel was even better than the Alvear, a few blocks away.
