A very nice hotel in the city center. The rooms have all the amenities, and the staff is good. Perhaps changing the rugs would grant you a 5*. I will be back on my next business trip to lovely Buenos Aires.
Poor...bathroom shower had rust water orange colour coming out...which is disgusting especially when you clean yourself with a towel and the towel turns orange. Dust everywhere not cleaned by maid...who could not care less about her job Curtain rod broken. One day no room cleaned. One day no toiletries replaced, one day no clean towels. It’s slipped in its service and cleanliness which is to bad. No recognition for A club status or repeat client staying a week. Really disappointed, should be compensated for a pathetic stay with Accor points.
Recently stayed in Novotel BA to and from a visit elsewhere in Argentina. Very comfortable and centrally located hotel with excellent and help reception staff especially in calling taxis and arranging transport to and from the airports. Very good and cheap food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only problem related to complimentary drink because of my gold status. I had asked for a bottle of beer which was very rudely rejected by the female bar server because it wasn't covered (it covered beer or wine or soft drinks). Despite showing her the voucher, she claimed it didn't cover bottles and just draft or wine - embarassed me in front of my guests but served a glass of wine which was far more expensive than the bottle of beer!
We stayed at the Novotel for 1 night prior to going on our Princess Cruise from Buenos Aires to Santiago de Chile. The young lady at the front desk was excellent. She helped us book city tour, tango/dinner show and recommended a very good restaurant with typical Argentinian fare. The room was modern, clean, comfortable and there was very good wifi in the room and in the hotel. We had the buffet breakfast which was very good. It was centrally located close to the theatre area. Price was very reasonable for the room and the breakfast. If I went to Buenos Aires again would stay there again.
The foyer was fine, although the carpet on our level was stained and our room looked tired. The restaurant was very disappointing, with a limited selection of food. Some of the fruit actually had very obvious bad spots on them and some pieces were mouldy. The service in the restaurant was poor. Overall, I felt it didn’t meet my expectations of a Novotel.
We walked to the sites we wanted to see in Buenos Aires. My experience with Taxi drivers in Buenos Aires was not good. Most of them would not run the meter and wanted to take advantage of the tourists. The hotel was able to hire a car and driver for me to go to the airport with a fixed price that was fair. The front desk people were very helpful, giving directions, making reservations, giving dinning suggestions, and storing luggage for me when I left Buenos Aires for a few days. The food in the hotel dinning room was good. The room was clean and of adequate size.
Disappointing starting from check-in. The staff member who checked us in was not informative about our stay. He checked us in, gave us the key and that was it. No one offered to help with baggage to be brought to the room. As an Accor Silver member, I should have been offered a ‘welcome drink,’ which was not given. It was only after check in and once settled in the room, I went back to the front desk to see if they indeed had my Accor membership details. The same man, looked it up and said that he had all the information. It was only after I asked about the ‘welcome beverage’ did he give me the voucher. The room was very small and unkempt. The leather sofas had scratches and tears in it. The carpets were old and worn. The room was extremely warm too. The bed had only 2 pillows for a queen size bed, which is unusual. The bathrooms were tiny as well with barely any privacy. The shower which is in the center of the room is made of all glass walls (not opaque), so you can see your partner taking a shower from the bedroom. There is a screen that you can lower from the bedroom but it still doesn’t provide much privacy. If you aren’t traveling with your significant other, this could be very uncomfortable. Basically, I felt like I was staying in a glorified hostel. The location is right in the micro-center of the city with a lot of foot traffic. Basically, it reminded me of staying in the middle of Times Square in NYC. You do have to be aware of your surroundings as there were some unsightly people in the street outside, which is likely the reason why they post a security guard right at the entrance to the hotel. The one positive, was that we were given a small breakfast the next morning before our early flight, free of charge. The bar outside was pleasant, but service was non-existent. I will say that this Novotel does not uphold the standards of an Accor hotel. I will not return to this hotel, and will not recommend it to anyone I know who is planning on visiting Buenos Aires.
I`ve stayed at Novotels on 4 continents and this Novotel fell well below the standard I have come to expect. I wish I had stayed at a different hotel in BA. The location is excellent- central and downtown. The service was decent. The room however was quite worn and drab. There was a damp, musty smell that permeated during the stay (maybe due to the shower leaking onto carpet?). The air conditioning was either freezing cold or too hot, requiring frequent adjustment and poor sleep quality. The tap on the shower was very hard to twist, making most of the showers unbearably hot. The towels were old and threadbare. Opening the window to try and get fresh air let in the smell of cooking food. The room service menu was limited and the dishes were not as advertised, e.g. "fresh fruits" meant tinned fruit cocktail. Often there was only 1 person working at the reception desk, which led to lengthy waits for service. On the Accor website, the hotel is advertised as having a sauna AND "turkish baths". I asked at the hotel about this, they repeatedly denied that there were turkish baths, even when I showed them the website they kept just saying "NO." The sauna was out of service. Would choose another hotel in BA for what they charge for this room. At rush hour, allow 1.5 hour to get to the airport- we were told it would take 45 minutes and barely made it.
This hotel is right in the centre close to the obelisk. It has a pleasant lobby and pool deck area. Rooms are quite small but fairly well equipped. Breakfast buffet is good with a wide selection of fruits, and hot and cold dishes. Wi fi is free and works well. I had an unfortunate incident in the city. Juliet the front office manager was excellent. She helped me a lot with first aid and other assistance. I really appreciated her help. Room rates were okay. I would stay here again.
Nice hotel with modern facilities. The hotel is located in busy nighttime theatre area of central B.A. which is very good for sightseeing and easy to walk to many attraction & shopping area. e.g. Florida Street, Colon Theatre and Casa Rosada. The hotel has a nice cold buffet breakfast with fresh fruit. would stay there again.
