We traveled to this hotel as part of a Gate 1 Travel tour of South America. Overall an average hotel that needs a little work but the staff are approachable and open to hearing problems. The first room that we were given had garbage on the floor. We were given a different room right away. The room was dusty and could stand a deep cleaning – the cleaning staff do the daily cleaning but are probably not given time to do deep cleanings. The bathroom had a sink that had a trough at the bottom making it more difficult to use/splashes water easily. There was only warm water not hot in the sink. The hair dryer didn’t heat up properly. One of the bed lamps didn’t work – switch would not click it on. The Wi-Fi, at least on the 5th floor, is not strong enough to allow internet devices to remain connected. The hotel management is aware of the problem but have not found a solution yet to the WI-FI problem. There are two English TV channels for news – BBC and CNN. The oddest part of the room was the on-display shower – the shower is glass enclosed with one side facing the rest of the room. This has three strings of lights where the shower wall meets the bedroom wall in green, amber and red. At least there was a curtain that could be pulled down so that you did not have to be on display while taking a shower. In the lobby there is a children’s play area right by the front window – to us it was an inappropriate area to have a play area. The breakfast was average. The coffee was excellent, the yogurt ok, and while not the best item for breakfast they had some delicious cookies. They also had a potato puffs – not the greatest but the only hot item for vegetarians that do not eat eggs. The toaster did not toast bread and allowed the bread to fall onto the counter – after we spoke with front desk personnel they did attempt to fix this and while it still didn’t toast there was a plate to catch the bread after it went through the machine. One morning we had requested an early breakfast for our room as we were leaving for Uruguay for the day. We filled out the form in the room and left it on the door knob per its instructions the evening before (prior to 8 pm). It was not picked up and we did not receive breakfast. The front desk apologized and later arranged an evening dessert and a bottle of sparking Argentina wine in compensation. We do want to thank Anabella Gerli, front desk manager, for taking the time to speak with us concerning the issues with the room and breakfast as well as being open to hearing what we had to say. We appreciate her taking this time with us.

Novotel Buenos Aires is located at Corrientes Avenue, knows for the many theaters and cultural life in the Argentinean Federal Capital and just two blocks away from the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest in the world, where the famous landmark Obelisco is located. The property follows the renovated Novotel standards and shares its construction with Ibis next door. Rooms are as expected for the franchise, very quiet and clean with only a few details that demonstrates that the hotel is aging. Front desk staff is friendy and efficient. Fare is awesome (around USD80/night) and internet connection is right. A welcome letter and a chocolate bar are provided for selected Accor program members. However, best thing is its location in the heart of the Portenhan Broadway, with many restaurants, drugstores, markets, and all types of shops. I have no doubt that I will return to this location in my next personal trip to Buenos Aires.

I last stayed at the Novotel Buenos Aires a year ago and I'm happy to report that the patchy internet that I experienced in 2016 has been improved with a new system, thanks for sorting out this traveller essential. The hotel is great value and couldn't be in a better location for either business of for exploring the BA city centre. Breakfast is buffet style and also good value.

The beds are old and not comfortable In the very end they inform you about a tax discount and if you want to pay for 2 rooms you can't have the discount. Same thing with the points at your LeClub The rooms have old carpet

The hotel is located one block form the Obelisk on the famous and busy Corrientes Avenue. Unfortunately, this great location also means a noise room if facing the avenue (request a room locking into the interior patio). The rooms are ample and clean and the breakfast area is located in the interior patio (very relaxing). The buffet style breakfast (included in the room price) is varied and plentiful. The front desk employees are very helpful and courteous.

It is an old hotel, there is a bad smell from the toilet. receptionists are very helpful. Breakfast is enough you can find delicious fruits and pastry. It is close to obelisk and Florida street. There is noise in the room from the street. It can be prefered for few days

We booked this hotel for it's location, it's pool because of a health issue, and the fact that it offered free Wi-Fi. The location is very good. The hotel is clean and the staff are nice. Much to our disappointment, the pool was not operational for the first 5 days of our 1 week stay mid-March 2017. Neither was it heated. We were given multiple explanations as to why and each was very different. When it was finally opened we asked for cushions for the chair and were given an excuse as to why they didn't have them. A few minutes later they brought them out. Wi-Fi did not work in our room. One young staff member went out of his way to be helpful and we expressed our appreciation to his manager. They moved us to another room the next morning but it still would not hold the connection for more that 15 minutes. It only worked consistently in the lobby, We didn't request the breakfast but we were told it was only $6. After eating breakfast the first 3 days we were told it was $12 and when we checked at the desk we were then told it was $16. After 3 days of frustration over these issues, I asked to speak to the manager. A young woman said he was not available but she was the Assistant Manager. I explained that we were thoroughly frustrated and dissatisfied with the the issues mentioned. Her response was "Okay." This only exacerbated our dissatisfaction. There didn't seem to be much concern about our satisfaction and they are seriously lacking in training their staff on accurate information for their guests. These were obviously not earth shattering concerns but they shouldn't advertise Heated Pool and Wi-Fi if it is not available and the staff should get their story straight. Too many other choices to bother staying in a Novotel again.

The location is great, staff is friendly and helpful, and the room was nice, except for the bathroom. The shower has a glass wall glass so that you are on lighted display for others in the bedroom section of the room! You can put the screen down but it's controlled outside, so anyone can open and expose you while you shower. The water flooded the bathroom from the shower, even if we were extra careful. The hot water is so hot you could make tea right from the tap, and thus is a scalding risk for children. If the great location outweighs the bathroom issues for you, stay here. It is an otherwise great place.

We had another very good stay at this property recently. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable, especially about the nearby theaters while our room was comfortable and modern with very good water pressure in the shower which is not always the case in either Buenos Aires and/or Argentina in general. A very good breakfast and bar rounded off our pleasure.

Stayed two nights before beginning a group tour in Buenos Aires. Centrally located- easy for us foreigners to get to and from in taxis and Uber's with no Spanish speaking skills. Reception spoke perfect English. Room was lovely- our king bed was two singles pushed together (single sheets with a king bedspread over the top) but didn't concern us. Water pressure was a bit of a dribble in the shower but the bathroom was very modern. Our room faced the main road so it was quite noisy until about 3am. Breakfast was alright as was room service.
