NH Buenos Aires Tango4.0 out of 5.0

Our room on the 5th floor was nice and the location of the hotel is good. However we found the service not up to the standards of a four star hotel. Requests for some things was ignored and the desk staff were not overly friendly. Room makeup usually missed some items. We paid for breakfast ...however the breakfast was really an elaborate continental and not worth the price...(extra charge for eggs to order for example)
Our stay at NH Tango was very good. The hotel, although needing a little updating, was very pleasant. The room was spacious, clean and a great value for the price. We did not partake of the breakfast buffet. There is Starbucks only a 5-8 minute walk from the hotel....Americans have to have their Starbucks fix! And some excellent restaurants and Buenos Aires sights within walking distance, as well. There are international electrical outlets in the rooms, which was very helpful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We also liked hanging out in the lounge area where you can order drinks, as well as very good food. We attended the tango show located on the first floor and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would definitely stay there again if we visit beautiful BA again.
The Hotel has a great location and rooms I must say are reasonably priced to give the guests good value for money. Our interaction was mainly with the front desk staff and they were helpful and speak English. I noticed though that smiles from the staff are not usual for them but they seemed generally helpful. When we asked for transport vehicle to the airport, the staff at front desk delightly arranged for us but we noticed that no one offered help (the man who was standing at the lobby whom I suppose should be the concierge) to the old driver who lifted all of our luggages into his car's trunk.
great service thank you, the staff were friendly and helpful there was always someone that could speak English which was helpful I was able to leave my luggage there for 11hours whilst waiting for plane which was helpful
It was a pleasure to take lessons with Alejandro and his partner Joujou in there beautiful studio. Enormous help for experienced dancers and introduction for beginners. Very meticulous touch ups for well known steps and explanation of the new steps. I would love yo come back for more lessons, when in Buenos Aires again. I recommend to take Alejandro’s lessons to anyone interested to learn or polish tango skills. They will help a lot!
The hotel is nice, rooms are spacious and decent channels on television. Well located but noise from road is a bother especially if you are a light sleeper. In the entire gym, there was only 1 or 2 pieces of gym equipment working. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay
Chose hotel due to excellent location. Rooms comfortable enough and the noise outside does not bother me. But what does is the indifferent if not passive aggressive attitude of the front desk when asking for help. Obviously I don't speak Spanish. Had trouble w AN issue and was hoping for help but all I got was a shrug of the shoulders. Really wanted to like this place ...
Stayed at the NH Tango twice during the month of August. The location is exceptional for exploring Buenos Aires on foot, being within walking distance (if you don't mind walking 30 min or so, and you really shouldn't in this beautiful town) from most (if not all) of the thinks you'd want to see in the city during a short (say week-long visit). This includes all the downtown, Recoleta, Puerto Madero, the area of Palermo near Recoleta (and MALBA), the Museum of Decorative Art, most of San Telmo, etc. The rooms are modern and super clean (the TV disguised under a semitransparent mirror is a neat trick), and the breakfast buffet (you should try to get a rate that includes it) was varied and plentiful. One of the things that we worried about was noise (after all, the "superior" rooms face 9 de Julio avenue, with its 18 lanes of non-stop traffic). I am happy to report that noise not an issue at all, the rooms are extremely well soundproofed and have double-glazed windows. I am a light sleeper and had no problems whatsoever. A special thank you note to the hotel personnel, particularly to Camila and Alejandro at the reception, who have helped us on multiple occasions. I would give this hotel 6 stars if I could. Well done, and keep up the excellent work!
The hotel staff Juan refused to change my room to another level. He put me in a front room with all the traffic and noise disturbing me all day all night! Unacceptable!!! Crap hotel with no good sound proof windows. Don't waste your money here.
one feels like the stuff is paying special attention to your needs and requests. Very convenient location. in the quite decent buffet breakfast the cut up hot dogs next to the eggs should be eliminated. If the"American" breakfast. has to be emulated, in Argentina there are good and cheap small linked sausage that would give the right message.
