NH Buenos Aires Crillón4.0 out of 5.0

Very clean centrally located hotel right next to subway station. The Hotel is on Avenida Santa Fé, near a plaza/park in the Retiro area. Very close to Puerto Madero Quarter waterfront, 9 de Julio Avenue and downtown. Room was a little warm for us and we were unable to adjust temperature. Front staff always willing to help but they need more staff as there was always a line to talk to them.
This is a comfortable and nice hotel in downtown Buenos Aires. The hotel itself is what you would typically expect from an NH, nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. The good things are the breakfast, with quite a variety of things although I did not see a lot of cooked food (eggs, bacon, etc.), mostly breads and pastries. Bad things are that the rooms are quite small. Wifi works well and it is free, The location is excellent. It is right on downtown, it is located in one of the main avenues, next to a park and to a subway station. In general, the hotel is not fancy but does the job very well.
If you want to right in the middle of the action. This place will do. However if you still want to be cosy and comfortable you might consider some place else. The rooms are small and tight. Rooms are cleaned but the building is old. If you are well endowed the Bathroom walls will be all over you. You can't extend and arm or leg without touching something. Breakfast was average. Staff were very good, friendly and helpful
NH Crillon is very central to Florida Rd and a host of places for meetings and Events. We walked to the Portena Tango show next to the Teatro Colon. The Rooms are neat and small but very good linen. Towels on the aging side but Im not fussy. Just caught with a extra cost of breakfast which Im not used to. All in all a decent Hotel with good staff.
As always, very friendly environment with amazing service and reasonable prices. I love its location and areas around, so close to reach any place or just to walk around. Special thanks for breakfast and room service. Will definitely stay there again.
Nice hotel in perfect location on Plaza San Martin. Lots to do around, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, tango shows and more. The hotel has all you need for a personal or business trip. The staff is very helpful and breakfast in good for any taste.
Nice hotel, excellent breakfast and coffee. Close to Manuel Tienda Leon bus station. We took the Manuel Tienda Leon bus from EZE airport and only 10 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is very close to Florida Ave where there are many shops. You can walk around easily. The shower had quite low water pressure. The taxi organised by the hotel was late and we missed our flight. Good location, friendly staff and clean rooms. Happy to stay again.
The hotel's front desk was exceptional. I was allowed early and late check in. Also, upon walking in the door I was greeted b name which was a great and added surprise. The hotel is clean, modern and very comfortable. It's not a five star hotel but very close. My only complaint is that the water pressure in my room wasn't that great in the shower and the water would back up in there. Other than that. I would recommend this hotel. Lots to do in the area from shopping to eating to just beautiful scenery. Again, it's not 5 star but for the price it's a great deal. Good breakfast also.
For us it was easy to reach our business partners - good location, quiet room, wifi was with good quality- enabling to makeSkype calls, for example. great breakfast to start the day and very very fiendly people at reception :)
I spent a week here while attending a series of conferences. I was mostly pleased with the hotel, which was a good value. Everything in the room worked as expected. The included WiFi was fast enough, hot water was dependably available, and there was a small refrigerator where I could put drinks and fresh fruit. There were many breakfast options, including alfajores with stripes of icing the color of the Argentine flag. The other baked goods were also above average, and I know that I ate too many of the sweet medialunas (croissants). My only wish was for better orange juice, since the hotel's seemed watery to me. In addition to the regular 7-10am breakfast, the hotel provides a mini-breakfast option in the bar from 5 to 7, which was very helpful one morning when I had to leave very early. The staff was helpful as needed, too, as I had problems with the keycard door locks. The only thing that I missed was a fitness center - the staff told me that I could use one at a different NH hotel, but it was relatively far away. Beyond that, the hotel's location was a big plus. There's a 24-hour pharmacy/drugstore across the street, a grocery about 3 blocks away toward the river, and a wine store next door. The metro (SUBTE) is about a block away, which makes it easy to travel all over Buenos Aires. (You buy a stored value card in the station which works on all of the city's public transportation.) The Retiro train station, with trains to Mitre and Tigre, is about 3 blocks away, and the massive bus station, with buses covering much of the country, is just beyond it. The main shopping street, Avenida Florida, starts two blocks away from the hotel. Overall, the location can hardly be beat, especially if you like walking and are a fan of public transportation. If not, I found it easy to flag down a taxi as needed, and discovered that taxi fares are quite low in Buenos Aires. I hope to return to Buenos Aires, which I find charming. On previous visits, I was able to use airline and hotel reward points to stay in the ritzy Recoleta neighborhood, but I very much liked the NH Crillon and its location. If money is no object, there are at least three world-class luxury hotels in the Recoleta neighborhood, but the Crillon is an excellent value for the rest of us.
