For us it was easy to reach our business partners - good location, quiet room, wifi was with good quality- enabling to makeSkype calls, for example. great breakfast to start the day and very very fiendly people at reception :)
I spent a week here while attending a series of conferences. I was mostly pleased with the hotel, which was a good value. Everything in the room worked as expected. The included WiFi was fast enough, hot water was dependably available, and there was a small refrigerator where I could put drinks and fresh fruit. There were many breakfast options, including alfajores with stripes of icing the color of the Argentine flag. The other baked goods were also above average, and I know that I ate too many of the sweet medialunas (croissants). My only wish was for better orange juice, since the hotel's seemed watery to me. In addition to the regular 7-10am breakfast, the hotel provides a mini-breakfast option in the bar from 5 to 7, which was very helpful one morning when I had to leave very early. The staff was helpful as needed, too, as I had problems with the keycard door locks. The only thing that I missed was a fitness center - the staff told me that I could use one at a different NH hotel, but it was relatively far away. Beyond that, the hotel's location was a big plus. There's a 24-hour pharmacy/drugstore across the street, a grocery about 3 blocks away toward the river, and a wine store next door. The metro (SUBTE) is about a block away, which makes it easy to travel all over Buenos Aires. (You buy a stored value card in the station which works on all of the city's public transportation.) The Retiro train station, with trains to Mitre and Tigre, is about 3 blocks away, and the massive bus station, with buses covering much of the country, is just beyond it. The main shopping street, Avenida Florida, starts two blocks away from the hotel. Overall, the location can hardly be beat, especially if you like walking and are a fan of public transportation. If not, I found it easy to flag down a taxi as needed, and discovered that taxi fares are quite low in Buenos Aires. I hope to return to Buenos Aires, which I find charming. On previous visits, I was able to use airline and hotel reward points to stay in the ritzy Recoleta neighborhood, but I very much liked the NH Crillon and its location. If money is no object, there are at least three world-class luxury hotels in the Recoleta neighborhood, but the Crillon is an excellent value for the rest of us.
This NH hotel is such a disappointment. Our group of 12 had the worst experience staying at this hotel after our 2 week-long trip in South America. We stayed here for the last night. The rooms were the worst of all the hotels in this whole trip. My room looked like it had just recently been converted from a broom closet in the stairwell into a hotel room. There was an unpleasant smell. And the condition of the room was not up to par. There was water leaking from behind the toilet. And the floor was dirty and really sticky. The a/c wasn't working. All the hotels in our trip were all 4 star but this one I'm sure wasn't fit to be. Although the location is convenient, I wouldn't want to stay at this hotel even for one more night.
My room was ok, except window's curtain. in rest ok. Breakfast was delicious and the service excelent. It is neer to the central park and is very silence. I have ocasion to visit the "bazar" and local shops. Local citizanes are very kind and adorable.
NH is a chain, however each hotel as a different tasty. Close to the hotel has a subway station, and bus stop, so it is very convenient to go to most of sightseeing places by public transportation. Hotel is clean, however I had a bad luck with the room. The window was to a floor between the building walls. The breakfast was good. Just complain about a request for eggs that the information to charge was in very little prints, hard to realize. Most of the hotel staffs were kind.
I am writing here hoping to get an answer to my emails related to an invoice correction. I have been following up for a month directly as well as through the travel agency and no one is responding!! Did the hotel close down since March 24 when I checked out?? Or is this the world class customer service practiced?? Also, the hotel is definitely not 4 stars, looks quite old, the reception gave me a different room than the one booked and now it is impossible to get a reply from them. So yes, based on the above I do not recommend.
The property shows sign of ages. The rooms are very small, the air conditioning is a disaster, the bath rooms hardly fit a normal size person. The lobby is rather small. Breakfast mediocre. These would be all the negatives. On the positive side: GREAT LOCATION, in the heart of Buenos Aires. On an inspection site they showed me a junior suite and I was told there was nothing available to show me.
Stayed here for 3 nights, very clean, comfortable bed, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great variety from fresh fruit and granola to hot options and pastries. Good location as you are walking distance to the obelisk, many restaurants, cafès and the subway (which we didn't utilise, but good to have the option). Very limited selection of drinks at the bar so only had 1 drink each on 1 evening. Would happily stay again.
Very nice property. Built in the very good old style, but remodeled to a fresh on fashion look. Rooms are small, and smaller the bathroom, but functional. Breakfast is far away for the Europe NH hotels. Must work on the coffee, as the self service espresso machine was out of order. I ask for an expresso coffee to the waitress and it took an eternity to arrive...some training is urgently required. The room was very noisy.
Only 3 stars (despite good location and fairly attentative staff-they "missed" asking me if I wanted a reserved car for 5:30 a.m. or p.m., and
