NH Buenos Aires 9 de Julio

The hotel is on the busiest and largest street in the world so it was often loud. It was convenient located and it had a pool and gym but felt the gym was tiny and therefor not appealing to use and swimming pool did not have lots of seats so was often too busy to lay outside unless coming early.

We spent a couple of nights at this comfortable 4 star hotel which provides a welcome respite from the bustling Buenos Aries city life. The rooms are well appointed and extremely comfortable. The location is excellent for walking around the city. The breakfast was excellent and the food was fresh, beautifully presented and extremely appetising. The staff were very helpful and friendly and when we left something in our room by mistake, the package was waiting for us on our return to the hotel two weeks later. The rooftop swimming pool is a little small but provides amazing views of the city. There is a great sundeck on the roof. Highly recommend the nh and if we were to return to Beunos Aries would definitely book at this hotel again.

The hotel is in a good location and walkable to many restaurants and attractions. The room was a good size and modern decor. Breakfast was good with a large selection. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice stay and I recommended it to colleagues.

We were heading back to the UK from Antarctica via Buenos Aires and this was a short stop - the hotel was a really well located allowing us to access central BA on our flying visit. The room was great, really well appointed and comfortable and the communal services did just what we needed.

This is the fifth time that I stay in this hotel and it will be the last. Despite the less than cheap price, the hotel is lower than the others in the NH. The only advantage is the location, but also the Panamericano is not very far so I will spend the next time there. In summary: the windows that should open up to vasistas are destroyed, sometimes they open up supported by a single point of support that considering the weight is dangerous. Noisy: the front streets are noisy for traffic and the back too, due to the rumble of a swimming pool that raises at the 5th floor of a dilapidated building. This time I stayed 10 nights and the bed sheets were never changed. The shower passes from icy to boiling water. This I found only on the eleventh floor. Breakfast is average: bad coffee and small fruit salad probably made with stale fruit. The dishes are regularly missing, so for 3 mornings I was forced to start breakfast with considerable delay. Courtesy in general does not exist. All very cold and detached. But the really worst thing is the restaurant that I highly recommend to avoid: a smoked salmon served without even a hot crouton of bread as you would in the rest of the world. But the worst thing ever was the rice spaghetti with sauteed vegetables literally drowned in a natural soy sauce: vomiting. In espresso coffee it was worse than breakfast: they probably used the same coffee powder (or capsule) for the second time: it was dirty water plus the coffee powder in the cup. And finally, with an account of about 1,300 EUROS, they also charge you almost 3 euros for a little bottle of water.

Great Location! Gabriela in Guest services: Best ever! She even fixed my iphone. Very informative and gave us great recommendations for tours and restaurants . Thanks for all your help. All the staff and hotel security were very friendly and helpful.

9 de Julio is a typical NH hotel, meaning good rooms, good breakfast and good position. This one in Buenos Aires has a very nice view in front side with 9 De Julio boulevard. The bed is very comfortable but if the room is on boulevard side is pretty noisy.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our tour group. Room was as expected, clean and good sized. Never did figure out which switch controlled which lights. Buffet breakfast was mediocre, eggs when available were runny and coffee cups for Americans were 1/2 sized. Safety was not a concern. Roof top lounge was a nice place for a nightcap we brought up.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms were kept very clean. The location is very ideal for exploring Buenos Aires. Transportation around the hotel is great and a good central point close to the Obelisco which is great for new travelers.

I went to B.A. in July and it was a good surprise to stay at NH 9 de julio. The service was good, with very polite staff. The breakfast had an international table, with several flavours and selection of pastries, fresh juices and other beverages as well. The room was spacious and although it seemed a little dated, the bed as good for rest and the shower had just the right pressure. I recommend the stay and would stay there again.
