Loi Suites Recoleta Hotel4.0 out of 5.0

We decided to stay in the Recoleta district because it is more lively in the evening than Centro. Our hotel location was perfect. The Recoleta Mall is half a block away (open until 10pm), and there are lots of lively restaurants and pubs around the corner on Junin. We never had trouble getting a taxi. Our Junior Studio room was clean and comfortable -- a king-sides bed, big desk, and 2 big chairs. Our room faced the street, but the double-pane windows blocked 90% of the noise. Nice breakfast buffet, really good WiFi service.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, IF NOT YOU WILL GET SCAM BY THIS HOTEL. We reserved through booking on the exact same day of our arrival. 15 minutes later we were at the front desk of this supposed 5 star hotel which does not even match a 2 star hotel. We got the keys of our two suites and someone took us to the rooms. As soon as we got upstairs and entered the rooms, we were choked by the low standard of the rooms. The rooms do not look like the pictures online. Our big surprise was to find a room in a state that is shameful for a 5 star hotel. The rooms looked old and not at all like the pictures. They were dirty without any maintaining. There was dust everywhere and the worst part was the bathroom. In one room there was some dry piss on the toilet and in the other room there was some men excrement still in the bottom of the toilet !!!! The beds were single and we expected double beds. The supposed Jacuzzi in the rooms did not work. Even the electrical plugs were not close to the beds but near the windows. We directly called and ask for someone to come. After 20-25 minutes of waiting, we went down to tell them that in these conditions we will not stay They looked for other rooms, which was OK for us but none were available. The staff, and the manager on site this night said that it was OK to leave without charges and even gave us a bill with the only two waters we took in the minibar. We had to book another hotel and take all our luggage there. We were in BA for my brother's bachelor. We were looking for something nice and expected to relax but we did not expect this kind of trouble The worst is that the hotel charged us anyway and send us an email the next day saying they will charge us and treated us like thieves and liars. Why in the world would we have cancel the reservation if the hotel was great ? Why would we have left if they told us they will charge us ? Please be stay away from this hotel and find a better place to enjoy BA best Norman
Very nice hotel in the heart of the tourist Recoleta neighborhood. This is a medium size hotel very clean and with an interior terrace where they serve breakfast (included). Withing walking distance of many restaurants.
Stayed here 2 nights after arriving in BA from the states prior to travel to Patagonia. Nice hotel in nice neighborhood. Next to Recoleta Cemetery and mall. Rooms were above average, service good and breakfast buffet very good. Indoor pool pleasant. Very close to many nice restaurants.
We enjoyed two days in Loi Iguazu haviong anice experience. All was perfect, the brecafas generous. Well located (BTW Recoleta is a luury and sfe area, you can walk at night). The staff was very friendly and helped immediately if needed. Highly recommended
My family is from BA and we are always looking for a higher end and safe place to stay. This was a great combination of the 2 with friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfasts which were included, good security in a central location mts walk/ride from city centers. Would go back to Loi Suites my next visit for sure!
I stayed 3 nights here. The bed matress was comfortable, there was at least 1 channel in English. You have a microwave and fridge. I really liked the bath. Plenty of hot water, it was a good size, it looked good, clean. The wifi worked good in the room. There is water, flavored with lemon or orange, set out in the lobby. The front desk with get you a cab and tell the driver where to go, they have a map of the area to give you. Right across from a mall, with lots of eating places. Also lots of eating places within 10 minute walk of hotel. It was a good location. You are right next to the cemetery, which is probably one of the places most people visit. And I walked to the free art museum(10 min walk), something to do for an hour. And if you need to go to a big grocery store, there is one on the same street a few blocks when you turn left exiting the hotel. Included breakfast had eggs, bacon, breads, fruits, cereal, cheese, meat. They even had hot milk to make hot chocolate. Peach jelly was good and the bread excellent like everywhere. They had cheesy bread, my favorite. Also had cakes and pastries, they like dessert for breakfast in Argentina. Also it was fresh squeezed orange juice. Watermelon was ripe. We requested wake up calls on 2 different days, the first day we got it, the second day, the day we checked out, didn’t get the 5am call. But luckily woke up at 5:40 and checked the time, so we weren’t late for transfer. Also, If you have the front desk make your transfer, get names and something in writing. I was told the transfer to domestic airport 240 pesos. When the car is there the driver says 2000 pesos. I was like that is not what I was told. The front desk person talked with the driver, and he did agree to the 240 pesos, which I was told. OVERALL: I recommend this hotel, it was very good for $150 a night, good room, large bath, great location.
This hotel is a block from Recoleta cemetery, so the location can't be beat. The rooms are quite spacious (we had a suite that was two separate rooms, a kitchen with a sink, electric kettle and mini-fridge, and a bath with a large walk-in shower). The breakfast area is lovely - it's a winter garden, set under a high glass roof with lots of plants all around. The lobby area is also spacious and light, with tall ceilings and inviting gathering spaces. The staff were lovely. We definitely would stay here again.
We spent two nights at the Loi Suites. Very adequate room and an extensive breakfast included - far more than we expected. About 150 yards from the cemetery, a main attraction in B.A. Less than $200US - no need to spend $600US at the Alvear, which is only 3-4 blocks away, in my opinion. Helpful staff, and we were allowed a 3:00 checkout - great for our 8:45 p.m. return flight to Houston.
This area, Recoleta, is supposedly one of the nicest places in the city. The hotel is very nice and has comfortable bedding and extra pillows and blankets if you want them. Bathroom was clean and ample size. Numerous sidewalk cafes within a block or two and they are packed at night. It's near the famous cemetery where Eva Perrone is supposedly buried. Very safe area. There is a mall within sight of the hotel, where they have a money exchange on the third or fourth floor, which is why I went to a mall on vacation. I did notice several nice upscale shops there but, I wasn't shopping. We walked around at around 11:00 at night and still felt safe, although there were three of us guys and we stayed within a couple of blocks of the hotel. They staffed the hotel with plenty of people and never waited on anything except a drink from their tiny bar. I would stay there again the next time I go. Taxis are easy to catch in front of the lobby and the area was busy until kinda late in the evening. After midnight, we did get a few pan-handlers but they were not overly persistant. It is a non-smoking hotel and was kept very clean and presentable. There was a flat screen Television in the room with all spanish stations. The coffee in the room was instant but not too bad. The little mini-fridge in the room was stocked with a few drinks and snacks. I look for just a few things when I travel and this hotel meet all my expectations. Clean and reasonably priced with coffee in the room.
