very Poor Customer Service

I stayed 4 nights while enjoying a very short vacation in Buenos Aires. the first two nights there was a noise that wasn't constant but bothersome. A noise like a piece of metal against a wall. The third night, a very windy night, the noise was CONSTANT and did not let me sleep. I called front desk twice with no response. Finally, at 5am I went down to the Front desk and requested a change of room. They gave me another room y NOONE offered me to help. I moved myself from one room to another rookm at 5:30 am. It ended up that the noise was coming from the roof right above my first room and there was the metal frame of a canopy that got loose and was banging against the surface. They did not apologize nor offered any compensation for that. That night (my fourth night in that hoyel and my very last night in Buenos Aires), when I ogt to my room (the new one) the key was deactivated and the room was NOT done. Thet DID NOT clean my room (the new one) that day! At check out I respecfully requested that they didnt charge me for That specific night and they denied it because i had booked thru a third party

Value for money

Clean and has everything you need from a hotel. In room fridge and coffee/tea facilities Continental self service breakfast. Very friendly staff on hand who are happy to help in anyway they can. Sadly there is no free shuttle service to/from airport as advertised. I emailed before arriving to confirm and did not get a reply. Reasonable price from airport taxi and plenty available. Use caution in the area after dark.

Excelente opción cerca de todo

Excelente opción para estar cerca de todo y llegar caminando a puntos de interés, como Obelisco, Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero, microcentro. Muy buenas habitaciones, amplias y cómodas. Destaco la higiene impecable. El personal de recepción amable. El desayuno es básico pero rico todo. Deberían cambiar las tostadoras ya que no funcionan. En los alrededores hay buenos lugares para comer y tomar algo. A pocas cuadras de llegada de Buquebus, se puede ir caminando sin problema. Recomiendo y volvería.

It was very clean... just outdated a bit.. and one thing that I really didn’t like.. the mini bugs(cockroaches) coming from the bathroom ceiling. I killed 5 of them... then they stopped coming down... they realized that their brothers and sisters weren’t coming back... but overall, it’s nice for a 1 night stay. The reception staff are amazing 5 stars!

Excellent value property

This is an older style property but I found the room comfortable and quiet. Smart furnishings, though the bathroom was a little bit old. Breakfast was "ok" and similar to other South American hotels. The staff were efficient but not overly friendly. The location is excellent for the centre of town. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and it was excellent value for the price paid

Great location with BIG room for improvement.

Great location, friendly staff and really comfortable beds, however the hotel is in need of upgrade. The housekeeping need attention as well - the glasses- both in the bathroom and coffee corner were stained from previous guest ( toothpaste and lipstick marks! ), half used bar of soap left in the bathtub, the carpet was pretty stained as well. The poor cleaning standards spoiled one of the best sleeps in the Lafayette during our stay in BA.

Excellent location, but honestly it is more for Europeans than North Americans because of the shower. If you use a hand wand to shower you will be okay. They have bidets. They have Australian type electrical sockets, but a couple will also take European style. Easily walkable from the ferry.
