I stayed at this hotel for one week. Customer service at the front desk was professional and informative. Our room was cleaned every day. We felt very safe in and outside of the hotel. Room is nicely appointed with comfortable beds, small sink, microwave, small fridge, tv, dining table. The breakfast buffet was good, with cereals, fruit juices, a couple of hot items, coffee, yogurt , fruit salad and pastries. Please note the buffet does not change, so after 3 or 4 days it might seem a bit repetitive, but this presents the opportunity to try one of the many places outside of the hotel. Wifi is offered for free at the hotel, however, it is not reliable, as I experienced constant blackouts, disconnects and one must juggle the computers position inside of the hotel to get reception. There is no wifi in the dining room or lobby either. The room is equipped with a safety deposit box and cold ac. The beds are big and comfortable. Our room was quiet even though it faced the street. The hotel location is great as it is just 2 blocks away from Calle Corrientes where most of the great theaters in BA are located, about 5 blocks from Plaza de Mayo and the Obelisk. I definitely recommend staying here. TIP: Need to get cash?, go to an ATM, there are several located on Calle Corrientes. I found the ATMs from Banco de La Ciudad to be the most compatible with US banks. CABS: They are plentiful in BA. The base rate starts at 27 Argentinian Pesos. all cabs are equipped with meters. I found most trips cost me around $US 3-8. Keep in mind there is heavy construction and street closures around BA, specially parallel to Puerto Madero, and traffic can become really heavy around this area, specially during peak hours. Your cab driver may not always know the exact address where you are going, that is why you should be informed of your exact address in case the driver asks you where is it located.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. The cost of our room included a good breakfast (but make sure breakfast is included with the room otherwise breakfast costs $14.00). Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms in the back are quiet and include a balcony which is shaded and usable in the afternoon. Rooms are clean and spaceous and include a fully equiped kitchen (although we did not cook anything). Jorge at the front desk during the day speaks excellent English. Other staff members are much less fluent but their English is serviceable. On site laundry and exercise room on the 9th floor. Hotel is centrally located; within walking distance of the metro. Cab fare to most sites in the city were around $5.00 (U.S.). Hotel had great recommendations for changing money and tango show.

This was a really lovely hotel, so handy to everything. The area is typhica Bueons Aries but once you get over the appearance of outside it is good. I felt safe . Lots of Resturant's around in walking distance. I gwould certainly stay there again Room was huge , with kitchen and table. Great shower too

Stayed here for a week, mainly for the location, but also the price includes breakfast. Hotel is close to theatres and Plaza. Walking distance (approx 2 blocks) to Uraguay subway station. English speaking reception, with helpful and friendly staff.

Front desk people barely speak english rooms are college dorm like no english TV bad area free breakfast was ok but poor variety of items hotel was inexpensive and we could see why! Not a great experience we left after one night and went elsewhere!

Between the screaming kids running through the hallways, the horrible Wi-Fi, the overly soft beds, the in room air conditioning that cools only one area directly underneath it, I'd have to say I didn't enjoy my stay at Ícaro. I ended up getting heatstroke and the staff couldn't tell us where we should go for a doctor's opinion. A Brazilian front desk staff whom kept pushing us for the most expensive options whenever we asked for opinions, seemed like he was scamming us. For example we needed a taxi to the port and he quoted us $250 Pesos. We walked out and hailed a cab for $105. The breakfast buffet is ok if you stick to the fruit. Their eggs are overdone on top and runny in the middle. It's the same breakfast day in and day out - no variations. The neighborhood around the area isn't that great either. Nothing too dangerous, just kind of run down and dirty. There are plenty of other places to stay. Choose something else.

Checked in 12/23/18 ,the street is a little shadybut it leads to a big avenue that leads to the Obilsk.Plenty of good restraunts and the room was very nice. The breakfast was great plenty of food and good quality. While checking in the man at the desk noticed my wifes’ passport was not stamped. We hurried back to the pier and got it stamped,I think he saved us problems leaving the country. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I stay this hotel 3 nights in November, 2017 The room is clean, tidy, big & comfortable bed, big room area. Price is acceptable. I used SGD 130 each night to book. The staff is nice, very pleasure, polities. Location is good 5 mins walk to supermarket, 10 mins walk to metro station and Restaurant. Breakfast is good and many choice.

This hotel is located in the city center very close to the theater district. The nearby avenue that connects to the Obelisk is within a short walking distance and is extremely lively, late nights. The underground metro stations are within convenient walkable distances as well. The room that I stayed in was extremely spacious & clean with inside amenities being highly elaborate with a full kitchen and a dining table. It was quiet at night inside the room. The bathroom was modern and clean. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of maintaining the room. The front desk representatives were reciprocative but could have been more friendlier. The breakfast was more than elaborate with multiple items including a wide selection of breads, which were very unique in taste. The breakfast area was very clean and spacious. Overall my stay of 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel was memorable. I would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering staying in the city center of Buenos Aires

Good location, tidy rooms, helpful staff, reasonable breakfast and provided all we needed for a quick visit to Buenos Aires prior to getting on cruise ship to Santiago. Were able to lave our luggage there after check out- on day of cruise until boarding ship
