The Hotel was quite good - not great, but very good. Great location in Palermo. Good breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful, not always accurate in directions. But well meaning. Hotel was nicely refurbished/renovated Perhaps it is the economy, but the hotel was very tight on things like soap, toilet paper, and clean towels. They would provide when you asked but impression of pinching every penny. A bit of discussion over rates when I reserved a "double" but did not specify two people. (My thought was that a "double" meant two people. My rate was increased over that which I signed up for. This was a minor irritant -- no big deal. All-in-all a very good hotel in a great location for a reasonable price.
Great people, great rooms, great service. The staff made us feel at home away from home. Strongly recommend Hotel Bys to anyone traveling to BA from abroad.
It is the staff that make this hotel a great place to stay in BA. The rooms are spacious, nicely appointed, and well kept. The staff is fantastic and really make you feel welcome and appreciated, very professional. The only down side for this hotel is it's location, in that there are no nice restaurants or shopping in the immediate neighborhood. However, it's only about a 15 min walk over to SOHO which is one of BA best hood's.
