I was surprised of this excellent hotel in the middle of Palermo neighborhood ( an upscale neighborhood in Buenos Aires ) very comfortable and breakfast (free) is excellent. Also they have computers available for customers if you wish to surf the Net. I will definitely stay here in my next visit.
The staff was very friendly and resourceful. The room was comfortable. There's a mini-bar with items in it, but you can squeeze in some of your stuff to keep cool (like your water bottle). There's also a hair dryer. I didn't use the toiletries, so not sure about those. I had a view of the back of the room, which was not particularly nice, but I read that it was good because it was quiet, and that was true.My room was almost next to the elevator, which was good since the hallways can be dark sometimes. The breakfast was great - lots to choose from, and the fresh fruit is absolutely delicious! The wifi was very good in my room. The computers in the lobby were sometimes treacherously slow. The location is good if you're looking for somewhere quiet. It's about 5 blocks away from a subway station, and very close to a bunch of bus stations to take you to many different places. A block away, there's a stand where you can rent bicycles. Do not go to the restaurant that's almost next door (Bellagamba). I went there twice and it was absolutely horrible (the second time, there were pieces of plastic in my food). I didn't use the gym or pool at all, but I believe they each open around 10am, and the pool costs about 70 ARS per day. There's a good milonga a block or two away from the hotel, so check it out.
The hotel was very good, the staff very friendly, the rooms comfortable, the breakfast perfect to start the day. The kids used the pool and it was very good. I give a very good instead of excellent due to the location. It was not that close to the areas of interest for tourists. We booked through priceline which said that it was equivalent to a Marriot or Hyatt, which is not, but regardless it was a vey nice hotel.
This hotel is really lovely. Comfortable room, friendly reception, ample breakfast with nice hot food and plenty of fruit. Everything was absolutely perfect. Plus, there are many nice places to eat nearby (check Los Remanseros a couple of blocks away, it is a hidden gem!), you are in the middle of the gorgeous Palermo neighbourhood, and all the major attractions downtown are easily accessible by public transport.
I was there for a few days for a business trip and really didn't like it. The size of the room and bed was nice, however it was a little dirty, specially the bathroom, with old and poor quality towels. The breakfast was also poor with not so many choices and in a little place, so it was very crowded, one day I gave up waiting for a table and went for breakfast in a cafe nearby. At least 15 minutes walking to the nice part of Palermo. Wifi was really poor too, so it was hard for a business traveler.
Very convenient hotel for a conference I was attending in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast in the morning. But, on business I need some internet connection to work and prepare in the evenings. Hardly ever worked. Ok wireless in the lobby, horrible in the rooms. Too bad, otherwise I'd stay here again
Hotel staff were friendly and helpfull. The room was clean and nice decorated. Really big and comfortable bed! Air condition worked perfectly. All equipments found in room except hotel shoes, bathrub and moisture to skin. Allthought the towels are really comfortable. Hotel is located beautifull and peacefull area. Nice restaurants and coffee places are just few blocks away. Way to the nearest metro is about 10-15 minute walk. Breakfast is fresh and quite good. It should have some more proteins and vegetables. There was lots of different fruits and cakes/breads. Cheff was really fun and made us feel like home. I would sincerely recommend this hotel to everyone and if we go back to Buenos Aires we will go this hotel.
We booked it through Buquebus, because it was close to the Palais Rouge where we were attending a conference. All the staff was very kind, at the reception, breakfast room and housekeeper. Continental breakfast is good. Rooms are very spacious and confortable. Definitely, we shall be returning.
I specifically chose this hotel for its location and for its swimming pool. Despite what TA's entry & the instruction book given to guests say, & regardless of the 80 degree weather & the fact that the fall solstice won't be for 10 more days, the pool was closed at the end of February. Period, no apology. When I complained about that, and the two burned out overhead lights in my room (a 1st for me in any hotel), instead of replacing the bulbs they moved me to another room. That activity cost me valuable sightseeing time which will make a real difference to my trip. Breakfast has a some nice fruit, good croissants, fresh eggs, & sliced ham, but no other meats & a skimpy assortment of other breads; the OJ is NOT juice, but Tang. TV does not have even one English language channel, unlike other hotels here, although they have Italian. The rooms have security boxes but no hair dryers and no alarm clocks. (Also some interesting plumbing: the washbasin has the hot water on the left, as expected, but the shower next to it has the hot water on the RIGHT. That took me a while!) It seems clean and safe. Cabs are easy to get, but the subway is a 10 minute walk. Also, it's not really in Palermo; the restaurant area starts at a 20 minute walk away.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms are a good size, clean and have great shower, super comfy bed and good aircon. The location suited us fine; about 15 min walk to the heart of Soho, although we got taxis most places as they were so cheap and convenient. The breakfast was good as were the other facilities but the thing that made our stay so memorable was the amazing staff. The reception staff could not be more helpful; getting us tickets to a sold out football match, helping us with currency, giving directions and recommending bars and restaurants. They were so friendly and cheery; always asking how our day/night was, engaging in a bit of banter and just generally being lovely. They really made us feel genuinely welcome in Buenos Aires and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
