Holiday Inn Express Puerto Madero3.5 out of 5.0

This is the former Holiday Inn with a recent makeover to make it an “Express”. Great friendly staff, good bedrooms, bathrooms and not bad breakfast. Shame no Earl Grey Tea at all and not even powdered milk in bedrooms for complimentary hot drinks. The gym however is Fabulous. Incredible views and well equipped. Far better than the last hotel that I stayed in in Buenos Aires
I have had the pleasure to stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Puerto Madero at least 50 nights over the past five years; both for business and pleasure. Good location; great service from the time you check-in to check out; and one of the best best breakfast too. Only complaint is there TV service is in Spanish only. An English news station is needed. As you can see, I am a fan of this hotel.
Quite expensive for a small room and breakfast. Very expensive parking lot (20USD x 6 hrs) no restaurant options at walking distance or room service. They have an option to order from two close restaurants but the hotel will charge you an additional 10% for the total amount. Limited buffet type for breakfast it includes several options of bread, ham & cheese, fruit, yogurt and cereal. No hot breakfast dishes. You can get better hotel options at Puerto Madero since this hotel is not actually in that area but close. It's a good option if you're planning to take the ferry since is in front of the "buquebus" terminal.
Excellent location surrounded by plenty of restaurants at walking distance; the rooms are on the small side but modern and confortable. The breakfast is good with plenty of options. Wifi works great all over the property.
Located very close to the airport this is ideal if you must stay over on your way somewhere else as we did. The restaurant is good although service is slow. Everything about the room was quite acceptable and pleasant enough. The "continental breakfast" the morning we left was completely inadequate: there wasn't enough for those who were leaving very early morning (we got nothing, actually, not even coffee) and nothing else was available. The grounds are gated and guarded but taxis will take you into town if you wish.
Want to thank the whole staff of the Holiday Inn Express in Puerto Madero. It is always a pleasure to stay there... great people... great service. Very professional. Please keep up with the good work and the good attitude. Every time I check in I feel very welcome. I have NO complaints.
Staff- relatively nice staff. Though on my first day after a long haul flight there was nobody to help me carry my luggages to my room. No bellboy?? Food- breakfast: no bacon??! Same stuff every single day. But one time they served ham and it was very very good. Not much choices. Room service for food- not available. There is an express honesty store. Location - perfect Room- ok. Clean. No english channels. Very basic hotel but relatively ok for resting.
The staff in this hotel Have been wonderful and do anything to make our stay pleasant. Nothing is too difficult. The location is great, close to everything, and many rooms have great views. The only watch out...the matrasses are firm. Good for those who like them firm, not so good if you prefer them soft.
The moment I arrived I regretted . 8 people to check in and only one attendant . 40 minutes later , I had the chance to get a room . Room was ok . Ok bed , ok shower , new air conditioner . Breakfast was horrible . Old bread , a lot of people not enough chairs . You better get breakfast outside . By the hotel you have some good options . The other thing that bothered me was the safe . I usually keep my passport and docs and some money in the safe . It took 2 days to get someone to reboot the safe . By then , I was gone .....
The hotel is located nearby city center, puerto Madero and all touristic areas. All attractions are located at walking distance. Restaurants and even shopping mall Galleria Pacífico are close to the hotel. Buquebus for trips to Uruguay is at walking distance as well. The hotel counts with good installations, a bit old but well kept. The breakfast has very good varieties. Recommended for business trip as well as for vacations
