we were two days in Buenos aires, and we slept there, it,s in the middle of the city, a lot of things are in walking distance, in the same street is the hop on hop off bus, in the surrounding there are a lot of restaraunts and bars
Location and personal excellent. Buffet-breakfast average (meals and drinks nothing special). Space to small for so many hotel guests. Rooms old, high time to be renewed. Elevators small and hotel corridors very poor illuminate.
In this hotel you have all the interesting places near t you in the downtown, Obelisco, Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero all the interesting places , the personal are very Kind, Is a place to sleep , You have markets and a lot of stores and teathers !!
We had a business meeting, with accommodations at this hotel. Good basic amenities, same caliber as best western. More for tourists looking for 3 star. Amenities, room space, TV and breakfast were adequate. It was a perfect spring day, so i opened the windows for fresh air. Air conditioning remote did not work, so i just kept the window open. Lots of street noise below.
In my point of view it's the best location between obelisco and rose house very near to "Calle Florida". The room it's not bad, the size it's ok, the bed it's ok, the problem is in the bathroom, maintenance it's not updated, small place to take shower. Reasonable cost benefit, but far for be the best one.
More like almost a 3 star hotel. The positives: the location is in the center of the city (safe in the day but not late at night). The price is very good. The rooms are small but clean. Negatives: the bed was uncomfortable, the hallways are dark and dirty, and breakfast was the same daily, and just ok. Paul at the reception desk is friendly and speaks English, the others not as much.
Very good location, not far from the city. rooms are not bad, hallways dirty, so the shower is narrow and all spraying at the door, on the balcony you can out of the climate. friendly receptionists. for the Jacuzzi is the person to order two times I've been up there is not one it said was taken.
The hotel is OK, well located if you are visiting for business in the area, breakfast was plain and boring, the same assortment of scrambled eggs, ham, pastries and fruit every single day, the rooms are not very dated but could be cleaner. Staff is kind enough most of the time. Beautiful view of th obelisk. Would recommend for business but not really for leisure stays. The area does not seem the safest at night and not many dining options in short walking distance.
We stayed here 4 nights in September 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed it. When we first entered the hotel we were somewhat hesitant; it doesn't have much curb appeal and the lobby looks like a large phone booth. However, it turned out to be a great hotel for exploring Buenos Aires. We were a few minutes walk to the obelisk. We had a balcony so that meant we could do laundry and hang it outside; that is always a bonus on our lengthy trips. Our balcony door would not lock so that worried me a bit. Anyone staying in the room next door had easy access to our room; conversely, I guess we had easy access to their room too. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was functional. No complaints from us about the room. Breakfast was really good and helped us start the say off well fed. The front counter staff were all great, they were really helpful. Would I stay here again? Yes! Would I recommend it to friends? Yes!
Conveniently located next to the city centre, the hotel is very professionally run and offers a good service at a reasonable price. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom equipment may be a bit outdated but bathrooms themselves are very clean. Breakfast is just ok, but you are in a 3* hotel, not a 5*. The meeting room, nice and well equipped, easily fits 15 persons, but there is no daylight. Wifi is available for free throughout the building but don't expect to be able to watch videos or even update your softwares as the connection - although stable - is quite slow. I haven't had a single issue with this hotel, neither before not during the meeting we had organised there. The staff was always nice and responsive. The Luxor is indeed a good choice in its category.
