As in most hotels abroad, the room air conditioner worked well and the breakfast was worth the price. The location was great. right near the corner of Lavelle and Florida, where the street performances range from comedy routines to Tango exhibitions. It's a short walking distance to the Obelisk and the Cateredral Sube station. Don't count on any help from the staff if you don't speak spanish. It was frustating

Carpet had stains, a/c didn't work, wifi didn't work last two days, the staff didn't speak English, rooms need serious upgrade.

It was maybe one of the hottest summer in Buenos Aires, the room's AC wasn't working. So, the location of the hotel is perfect, just a few blocks from 9 de julio, in the middle of the city. And the price was really good. Nothing else is good or remarkable

Very positive. Friendly staff and great location. We had a mini conference and the location encouraged attendance

Very good place in the heart of the city, with easy access to places of tourist interest. Cheap and good.

terrible bad experience, customer service is terrible, old and nasty

Very nice rooms for the price. I have stayed in other hotels in the area for more with rooms far less attractive.

Just two blocks from the corner of Lavalle and Florida, the famous shopping streets in central Buenos Aires, the Grand King is a cool place to stay. Its sparse, modern design belies the friendliness of the front desk staff. The elevators are scary though ... they rattle! In view of what some of the reviews had said, I reserved a superior room. The room I got, while a bit small, was modern, comfortable, and clean as a whistle. The wood floor was a nice touch. The glass shower curtain was unusual, but apparently functional. This hotel charges extra for wireless internet access. I had wanted to stay here to be in the middle of all the late night action, but by the time I got back from dinner it was after midnight and the area was quiet. Ironically, the advantage of the location turned out to be its convenience for walking to Puerto Madero, and for catching a bus to the airport the next morning.

It was a great experience. Staff was helpful. A big negative was that there is no pool. It was about 40 degrees everyday and the heat was unbearable. Rooms werent well air conditioned either.

It is close to everything. You need speak Spanish/Portuguese to communicate with most of stuff. The stuff arranged Tango show and pickups minibus for me on the same day. Breakfast was OK.
