We chose this hotel for its location. Very close to the Obelisk, the icon of Buenos Aires, it can't be a bad place to stay. We were not disappointed with what this budget hotel offered The rooms were compact and a bit dated, but cleaned every day with towels changed daily. Our room was facing Avenida 9 de Julio, claimed the widest avenue in the world. However, we were on the 11th floor and surprisingly it was not noisy at all. This hotel is appropriate for a few days stays, for longer ones I would go for something more comfortable.
Hotel is very very old, the rooms are clean but they need serious wall painting, the breakfast is very limited. The location is not that bad. In general this is low budget hotel so you are getting what you paid for. If I come to Buenos Aires again I will choose different hotel.
Newer mattress firm but comfortable. Cleaned daily but towels are replace every other day. The bidet occupies precious space in a cramped wc. Minimum furnishing, Luggage must be placed on the floor (no space for luggage rack). No Kleenex must use toilet paper. Used toilet paper to be disposed in the only trash can provided. Continental breakfast is good. Hotel staff wanted $340 pesos to hail a taxi early in the morning but it cost me under 120 pesos from the airport to the hotel. Something is not right. Anyways the hotel is indeed convenient and cheap sleep. Forget watching TV. It's only a 22" screen.
My wife and I had booked the Impala but were transferred here on arrival - they are both in the 525 Hotels group. Initially we were not happy as the location looked as if it would be noisier. In fact the location, on one of Buenos Aires busiest roads, was fine, as you must expect noise everywhere in BA. The hotel is showing its age, but the staff were excellent - very helpful when we were planning to get the ColoniaExpress to Uruguay; with money exchange; advice generally. Our bedroom on the tenth floor was fine, with a great view over the city. The large double bed was comfortable, and as the room safe didn't work we found that there is a very secure private strong box facility in the lobby. The wifi in the bedroom was excellent and very fast. The breakfast was about as good as any in our month in South America. If you are staying to enjoy BA rather than luxuriate in a fancy hotel this would be hard to beat!
I stayed here with my fiance for 3 nights when we first arrived in Argentina. It is in a good spot (3 blocks from the Brazilian consulate, for those wanting to get a visa) and close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. It was clean and tidy, hot shower, comfy king sized bed, decent breakfast and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There is free wifi in the lobby and breaky area too. We booked on booking.com and got the room for AU$45/night which was a bargain. I have seen some not so good reviews for this place but i could find no fault. I do understand that it depends on what you are after. But for us this was perfect place to recover from our flight, obtain our visa and get our bearings. Hope you find this helpful!
I stayed in this hotel for just one night and it was great for just that. The room features are not the most recent but for the price I paid it was well worth it. The location is excellent, within walking distance of el monumental and buenos aires's main downtown core. Nice cafes and restaurants around the corner. Staff were very friendly. No trace of any bed bugs. Lobby is clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again for the price and location.
I stayed here for a week in late January during a Buenos Aires heatwave. The room I was given was quite small with very basic amenities but for the price I was satisfied as other hotels in the area were much more expensive. The staff was great and allowed me to check out extra late as my flight was quite late in the evening. The air conditioning unit is actually outside the building and you can barely hear if it's on or off and the black-out gates on the windows really do a great job of keeping out light. The area is great because it's close to the metro and allows you to walk to Recoleta and downtown.
The hotel is dated and needs refurbishment but the room was large and comfortable. The staff at reception looked after every enquiry with great hospitality and effort. I asked for a change of room as I was first allocated a twin room and asked to move to a room with a double bed. The request was met with instant assistance in the transfer of luggage, etc. The location is fantastic with Avenida Santa Fe a few steps away, lots of bars and restaurants within short distance. The breakfast was ok with a few buffet choices.
The staff is very kind and helpful and the breakfast is tasty. It is now a little obsolete, but well preserved and clean. Room and bathroom size are OK. Very nice view at almost all rooms. The best thing is the position and the rates. Great cost-benefit hotel in Buenos Aires!
The room is a bit small but with bathtub. The location is great with 1 minute walk to Carrefour Small supermarket, very convenience. the hotel staff can speak excellent Engllish, very polite and helpful. I had a bad experience in Buenos Aires about thief along the street then i suddenly came back to hotel, just like i came back home really. George, the hotel staff is very helpful and very kind. He even took me to the police station to interprete for me and help me to prepare the police report and very take good care of me during the very bad time. I put the sign do not disturt but the hotel staff also give me a call to ask if i need room service or anything and do will provide anything you want. If you are looking for a budget hotel with nice and friendly staff, i recommend this hotel.
