These are as the name suggest, apartments for rent. So there's no room service and all the rest is VERY basic ( for example make sure you have shampoo and other toiletries that you'd expect in a 3* or more hotel ) Nevertheless if you don't like the fuss of hotels this is great. You have your own kitchen, so as long as you get your tea and coffee and whatever is your breakfast preference, you'd will feel like home ! Location is great for business as long as you are doing things in central BA or downtown. Room is of a good size, bed is comfy. Rooms facing the front might be a bit noisy and there's a swimming pool although I was not able to try it !
We've been staying at the Temporary Apartments for several years. This is not a hotel but it's an individual apartment is the heart of Buenos Aires. The Apartments are great as it's really a home away from home. You have a kitchen, dining area, beds and a bathoom. The apartments are centrally located and are easy to get around in Buenos Aires. This hotel should not be listed. Upon arrival, I walked to the entrance and there is NO hotel signs anywhere. The "hotel" office is located in the 8th floor. Rooms are located in the 10th floor and above. Once I walked into the lobby I had to wait for someone to step outside to be able to get in. I waited longer and I saw a security staff member. He sent me to the 8th floor. I did the check in and I specifically requested a good working wifi connection. Wifi was simply not working at all. Technician restarted router remotely even after that it did not work. Location is ok but service is horrible. After doing the reservation through hotels.com, as usual, I received an email from a third party property management company confirming my reservation and requesting information to "coordinate" time to pick up the key. I was never informed the office in the 8th floor was only going to be opened until 4 PM. If I wanted "dorm-like" style, I would have stayed someplace else. Not please with hotels.com nor this Concord Callao. Finally, there was no "key" drop anywhere. I had to leave it with the security person in the entrance. One of the forms in the room mentioned I would be charged 25 Dollars if the "key" (white plastic card with NO identification) were to be lost. What if the guard losses it? Not pleased.
I have stayed here on several occasions. The room has had all I needed. Sometimes the WiFi didn't work but it was repaired. The kitchenette meets the basic needs for cooking, but is sufficient. I do like the lighting in the Bathroom. The furniture was worn but not in poor shape. The cleaning staff was amenable to my needs. AC worked well. Overall a reasonable and comfortable stay. I am usually there for 4 to 6 weeks.
We stayed at this place for 7 nights and got a room right across the swimming pool. The room is in very very poor shape. Maintenance and up keep is extremely poor. The only redeeming quality of this place is the location. Do not expect anything. You might need to do everything yourself i.e. housekeeping, etc. We tried several times to alert the front desk about issues with broken drapery fixture almost everyday. We ended up taping it to keep it close. Bedding is stained and was never changed. Towels are very very rough. Walls are all scuffed up and floors (laminate) are chipped. Am not sure if it was worth what we paid for considering we paid more than a hundred bucks a night for this place. I just want to warn people out there because I bought this place based on reviews from tripadvisor. I want to ask fellow reviewers to be fair and not sugar coat their reviews. It puts people in a bad position. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
I enjoyed the location, the studio was spacious. Housekeeping is only every four days but they take your garbage and replace your towels daily, it is an apartment so it works as your home and is as clean as you keep it. My only problem there was that they have soft and cheap mattresses and I could not rest well for the four nights I was there. The staff at the reception office and at the front desk were very nice. if it wasn't for the mattress I would go there in a heartbeat.
I book an 8 Night stay over the Christmas holiday. I like staying in apartment type hotels because I like to cook from time to time. I am a chef and love to try local items to cook. I reviewed the photos from the booking.com website which clearly shows several apartments with an oven and some without. I wrote an email on December 17, to the reservation department at the hotel asking specify if the apartments have a stove an oven. The response came back on December 18, advising me all apartments have complete kitchens and that I would have everything I needed. To my surprise when I checked in I was assigned apartment 406, there was no oven in the apartment. As well it only had two pots that were old and warn. I complained to the reception only to hear there is no apartments in this building with ovens. The other apartment building has full kitchen, so Daiana Guastaferro was the employee who provided wrong information. If she would have advised me correctly I would have had time to cancel and find a new place. However, once there over the holiday weekend it was hard to find a new apartment for 8 nights. If that was not bad enough, the apartments are warn out, the furniture is old and out dated, the sheets and towels were warn and had holes. The apartment was dirty and need major cleaning, see my photos. I would strong suggest staying away from this property.
These apartments are very comfortable , I was in floor 9 , the view was excellent to the pool area, although it was empty becuase it was cold and it is outside. Location is the best and price is fair for what it offers.
I don't believe someone can give a rating above 1 for this hotel, is dirty, no service, My wife and me where there and we just went away and search for another. The worst in all countries I have visit. Main characteristics: Dirty, broken furniture, broken and dirty curtains, dark. We have traveled all around the world and never had such a bad experience. The checkout time was at 11:00 am we where there at 11:20 and they charge us another day, nothing we can say or do was good enough for them.
Spent eight nights here. Location great. Lots of super cafes and restaurants all around. Found somewhere new and great for breakfast most days. The other days I ate in. There is a mini Carrefour across the road and a supermarket five minutes walk away. The building somewhat stark. But a nice pool and gym behind. Big let down was the wifi. Lots of routers but anything more than a couple of metres distance from my door and signal near impossible and so slow I was continually getting "Timed out". Room was fine and spacious though no English language TV channels at all on the TV. The inside of the entrance door handle almost off and not fixed throughout my stay. One elevator also appeared from it's certificate to be several months overdue for an inspection. Another minus point is check-out. Normally 10:00. You can pay for extension. I agreed 12:00 the day before I left with the pleasant and helpful lady in the office. But at 10:10 a maid came knocking and asked why I hadn't gone! You can leave bags with them only until 16:00. After that you have to pay for another day...... I would stay again if I was sure of a Pool View room and better wifi. Also if i was not on a midnight flight out. Nevertheless overall I immensely enjoyed my stay in Buenos Aires.
