Staff in are very friendly and helpful. All the recommendations they have given me about the local area are great. Room is huge! unlike some of the other hotel, I've stayed in. Open bathroom with spa tub is a great added bonus, especially after a full day of exploring. Breakfast is great, mainly continental with good selections of pastries. Also they can cook Egg on request. Locations are good, central and near subway/Bus station. P.S. They do have 2 x free bamboo bike for guests.
My fiancée and I stayed here for 4 nights in a standard room. The hotel is in a fantastic location and safe area with lots of restaurants and sites nearby. The some of the fixtures and fittings in the room were a bit run down and tired, it was very comfortable and no real complaints. There was a massive spa bath and even a sauna in each room! The thing that made the hotel so good was the staff. They were always so friendly and helpful and if we are every back in Buenos Aires we are staying here again.
Casa Calma Hotel is a small hotel in a perfect location in Buenos Aires. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is large, well laid out, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you stay comfortable. This was our fourth trip Buenos Aires. So glad we finally discovered this hotel.
The hotel common areas are small but cozy. It is located very centrally near a lot of attractions in Buenos Aires. The rooms are big, comfortable, clean, and done with great taste - and they also have a ton of amenities such as a hydro-jet tub, rain shower, sauna, movies for rent, closet space, plenty of towels, mini bar, and many other standard hotel room features. The hotel is beautiful and done with a lot of attention to detail. What makes this hotel so special is its staff - Everyone at this hotel is friendly and attentive. The treatment is very personal and the staff make every effort to make your stay the best it could be. We can't wait to go back.
We enjoyed our four night stay in this well situated hotel. Excellent facilities. Well managed. Daily briefing with suggestions for wet weather. Good breakfast with excellent personal service. The only drawback was the limited channels on the television. No English language channels, especially Can or BBC
We stayed 5 nights here ,fantastic location near shopping , cafes , train station and subway the boutique hotel has only 2 rooms per floor so very homely . The staff very friendly and interested in guests comfort and ease of stay , generous room size very clean and tidy and breakfast was satisfying . Would stay again and highly recommend Hotel.
Found this hotel on the reviews and photos. Sometimes disappointment follows. But not here. Position was good. Service excellent. Room was very nice being good size and window was screened on outside by green vine. A nice feature. I think I paid on a special price but it was excellent value. A really nice boutique hotel. Definitely recommended.
Hard to find a place just like in the photos, but this one is. The location is about 20 minutes from the Aeroparque Jorge Newberry by taxi in Retiro neighborhood- took us 140 pesos to get there by official airport taxi. It's a little oasis of tranquility, from the warm soft color of the room to the wood used all around. The room (we had a deluxe superior, 402) is large, calm, and has the most amazing bathroom you can dream of. A two person jacuzzi, fully functional, a separate shower and another separate place for the toilet. The jacuzzi has a large window on the side place for champagne or wine glasses. Music is provided by a ceiling speaker :) furniture and accessories are all eco-friendly, i actually read the detailed hotel brochure which provided details. Only two rooms per floor- great sound isolation! Staff is young and very friendly, full of positive energy- here we want to thank Analia (hope i remember this correctly) and Martin for all their support and help. Hotel breakfast is served downstairs or in your room from 07:00 and 07:30 respectively, and has all the necessary ingredients, tasty coffee, croissants, very tasty and fresh fruit salad, eggs on request, a lot of jams and such, pastries, cheeses etc etc - you get the idea. If not included in the room rate can be purchased for 10 usd equivalent, as was our case. Location is close to the famous Colon theatre and a shopping gallery, along with various restaurants and coffeehouses. If you're tired and don't feel like walking or taking a taxi, there is a small restaurant on the same street as the hotel just head left as you exit the hotel. The restaurant serves very good home-made pasta. Next to that is a small shop opened until 22:00, good to buy wine or water if you'd rather not pay the 130 pesos per Evian water in the room. Great place to stay overall - the owners really managed to create an island of relaxation in the middle of the city.
Visited with my wife and really liked it here. The location is great, there's plenty in the immediate area, or you can take a walk (20-30 mins) to the San Telmo neighborhood. The rooms were really comfortable, and the AC was appreciated on a muggier than normal fall night. The staff is great. If you've never been to Buenos Aires, they'll help you with things to do and see, especially restaurants.
We spent two nights at Casa Calma at the tail end of our Argentina trip, having kicked off the trip with a few nights in the Palermo neighborhood. It was quite a difference in venue! Casa Calma, first of all, is lovely. The lobby and common areas are bright and green, thanks to the live plants growing along the walls. The room was surprisingly spacious for a city hotel room, comfortably accommodating a king bed. The surprise was the giant, two-seater whirlpool tub, which unfortunately we didn't have a chance to use. They have a bath minibar where you can select different bubbles or bath bombs to use in the tub if you wish. Breakfast at Casa Calma was my personal favorite on this trip. In addition to an impressive spread of pastries, cereals, breads, and jams, they will make you either an omelet or eggs on request. The breakfast was complimentary with our rate. The honesty bar, where you can take food or drink at a price at any time of day, was also pretty reasonably priced for a hotel and well-stocked. The staff here were great. They spoke excellent English and were patient when I wanted to try Spanish. They were responsive to requests for recommendations and sent us to a cafe for a sandwich one afternoon that was exactly what I'd wanted. They also called a restaurant at our request to try to get us a reservation (no dice, but they suggested we try walking in and that worked), and handled our airport transfers perfectly. I really liked that Casa Calma focuses on sustainability, and the touches throughout the hotel that made this evident. My only surprise was there was no recycling bin in our room, which I would have expected given the focus on the environment. But I did like the plants, the larger bottles of toiletries, etc. The neighborhood where Casa Calma is located is more of the business/government district. There are plenty of cafes and shops immediately around the hotel, and you're easy walking distance to the subway. The neighborhood reminded me in many ways of Paris, in terms of its architecture and appearance. I highly recommend Casa Calma.
