We enjoyed 8 nights at this nice hotel. The staff is surely the main asset, so service minded and friendly at all times. We felt very welcome from the minute we stepped into the lobby. This team goes out of their way to exceed your expectations. Rooms are nice, quiet and comfortable. And it’s really good value for money. We highly recommend this place.
A small boutique style hotel with extensive renovations. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds and luxury amenities like towel warmers. Our room had a jacuzzi tub, separate shower and dry sauna. The service in the hotel was exceptional. The front desk staff spoke English very well and gave us great suggestions for sightseeing and local restaurants. For $10 USD you can prepay for an exceptional breakfast to start the day. After a long flight, this is a wonderful hotel to come home to!
The hotel is incredibly relaxing oasis in the middle of a bustling, chaotic city. The bed is very comfy, the closet has great organization, and the bathroom is large and perfect for relaxation. The staff is all very kind and helpful as well. I did have an allergic reaction to the breakfast I ordered, as they didn't list the allergen on the menu. But I think this is more of a South American cultural discrepancy than that of the hotel. The hotel is located in a convenient location near many great bars and restaurants, but I do prefer the Palermo neighborhood more. Overall, still a great hotel that I would return to.
We recently stayed for 6 nights with Casa Calma whilst exploring everything that Buenos Aires could show us in this short time frame. We loved this hotel for the great location, easy walking to most things and close to many central public transport options. Also the staff were just lovely, very helpful and really went out of there way to make our stay wonderful. I would recommend this hotel and this location for visitors to the city. Palmero and other districts are an easy Uber, taxi, bus, subway, etc... away.
My Wife and I stayed at the Casa Calma hotel for our honeymoon this past January and it was one of the best decisions we have made. Casa Calma is a relaxation oasis within the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires and ideal for all travelers looking for a spa-like experience or just a beautiful hotel to stay at. Rooms: Each room came equipped with a two-person jacuzzi bath included with bath salts for extra scent and relaxation. Delux rooms also come with a sauna attached to the shower which is very unique for boutique hotels I have stayed at. Each room overlooks the street with a beautiful balcony with green moss running up the side. The hotel prides itself on being green, natural, and relaxing and that is apparent based on the room. Staff: The hotel staff has to be some of the best and friendliest staff members I have encountered. My wife and I had our bags delayed by the airlines and the staff members spent time assisting us in calling airline representatives and emailing us if our bags arrived to ease us. The staff provides extremely helpful recommendations for restaurants, activities, and more throughout the city and can help answer any questions you may have about your travels. They speak both English and Spanish which is good for travelers of different languages. There is always an attendant at the front desk 24h a day so for travelers entering and exiting at early hours of the morning, its perfect! Location: Casa Calma is located in the barrio of Rietro and close to major sites like Teatro Colon, Casa Rosada, the Obelisk, and more. There is shopping at Florida street within about 10 minutes walking and easy access to other barrios like Palermo, Ricoletta, and Monserat. As a quick tip, uber works quite well as a transportation service in Buenos Aires but at times, since there are 1-way streets and location services are hard, having an uber pickup at Casa Calma sometimes has problems, but the team is happy to call a trusted cab for you at any time.
Casa Calma was a disappointment. After 20 hours of traveling, the check in process in its cramped lobby was slow and inefficient. The staff was disorganized, unfriendly and not helpful. Our flight to Bariloche was rescheduled by the airline so we had to leave a day early. Having prepaid for two rooms we asked if we could have just one room for one night upon our return. They refused. While the rooms were ok, this hotel is way overpriced for what you get.
This boutique hotel is ideal for a stay in Centro. It is in a pleasant section and within a nice walk to many attractions. The main draw here are the modern and spacious rooms, really ideal for couples since the bathroom is open, although there is a private toilet. We had a double whirlpool bath and a large shower, and the bedroom is large with a king bed. Breakfast is good with a personal service and the staff is welcoming and helpful. However, don’t expect a large lobby or a view from the room. My only suggestion for improvement is to make the coffee on the lobby complimentary for guests.
We stayed for four nights before a cruise in November and really enjoyed it. The hotel is small with only about 20 rooms. Our room was very large and very nice. They offered a good breakfast and the staff was very enthusiastic and helpful, and gave us good suggestions on places to eat. It is nicely located for walking to a number of attractions.
This little hotel is very well located and priced. Secure with 24 hour front desk staff - on arrival you are greeted with a friendly smile, a handy list of words in the local Spanish and a list of places which you may like to visit. They organised a pick up from EZE for us and had a clean car waiting to take us straight to the hotel $50 USD. There is an honesty bar from which travelers may help themselves to refreshment and then write up their own docket. Would stay here again. Thanks Ana and staff
The Casa Calma was a great hotel. Small with fewer than 20 rooms. Our room was spacious well appointed and very comfortable. The staff were friendly welcoming and always ready to help. The self service honesty bar was a great place to relax in the evening before dinner. Taxis are an economical way to get around to places a little further than walking distance, but on many occasions we walked to restaurants shopping sights from our hotel. Our friend was on the 9th floor (we were on 7) she reported very low shower pressure, this wasn't a problem on level 7
