Broadway Hotel & Suites4.0 out of 5.0

Located in the Corrientes Avenue and at just one block from the Obelisk this is a very well located hotel. Unfortunately it does not have a car parking area in front, so the cabs leave you in the sidewalk. Nice hotel, clean and with a helpful front desk. The rooms are ample and with a kitchenette.
Rooms are large with minimal furnishings. Those rooms looking out over the ugly internal areas are very quiet. Breakfast is quite good with reasonable selection. Staff are pleasant & the small entry into the hotel is kept secure. They also assisted us over the busy sidewalk. The front desk will change US$ for a good rate. This Hotel is unable to store luggage if you are away visiting another area - even if returning to stay again. Reasonable rate per day of around US$100. The only reason this hotel is 4 star is the rooftop pool.
Staff very friendly, very good breakfast. Rooms seems a little old, and the TV in the room is practically a PC monitor. Rooms are big though. very clean, bed comfortable. bathroom could be better maintained as it can be tricky to get in and out of the bath. Air condition was not working very well, sufficient at this time, but not sure it would have be enough in the summer. In overall, very good placed, recommended for a stay,
Very friendly and helpful staff. Well kept and the rooms very in keeping with the theme of being an old fashioned theatre. Rooms spacious with ample equipment to go self catering if desired with good internet access. Safe for storage of valuables at no charge was a nice touch. The location is bang in the centre of things, everything easily walkable, such as Florida Street to change your dollars, plenty of major shopping streets, theatre district, obelisk, city bus tour stops, government district, Casa Rosada, Metropolitan Cathedral, Congress building etc. Recoleta Cemetery, Avenida Santa Fe and Puerto Madero are further away, but walkable if you're fit and up for a long stroll. Only things that were less than they could have been were the breakfasts, for some reason it was haphazard (getting tea and coffee was a bit hit and miss), and the food uninspiring. Also one other thing to watch out for is the swimming pool opening period - we booked this hotel as it has a pool, not realising that the weather in spring doesn't warrant the hotel opening the pool until December! So if you're wanting a swim, you'll need a hotel with an indoor pool! (Not the fault of the hotel, but a tip for new visitors to BA) Nice little old fashioned eatery (El Vesuvio) /gelateria a couple of doors up the street, that does a mean 'menu del dia' at a really good price. Great stay in a really great Capital City with friendly locals
This could go either way... If you are looking for location this is great, right of the 9 de Julio Avenue you won't have any problems getting to wherever you want to go. The hotel itself is OK, seems some rooms have been renovated some others, while spacious need a little TLC. Booked a Superior Suite in part avoiding the "street noise" I read in other reviews and got 10th floor large suite with and odd layout an noisy A/C unit. Room was changed to a 2nd floor, smaller but renovated Suite which was just fine for our stay; street noise wasn't an issue for us. Breakfast very good, service hit or miss. Final verdict; Average but enjoyable.
Very well located, close to the Avenida and Obelisk,Metro and Bus stations. Good Restaurants near by. Convenience market across the street. Staff very helpful and the breakfast very good. Broadway Hotel and Suites is located on the Corrientes Avenue Theatre district.
This hotel has both pluses and minuses. On the plus side is that it is centrally located. Across the street is a convenience market and right around the area, restaurants and other venues. The hotel was nice and comfortable with a few exceptions. First the shower area had one of those half strips of glass that inevitably allow water to get all over the floor. Its inexplicable to me why some hotels have these. Two, no ice machines or icemakers anywhere and only mineral water stocked in the mini bar. Third, most 3 star and above hotels have coffee and water available 24 hours. This one did not and it was inconvenient to have to purchase it later. Four, no guest laundry facility which I now understand in hindsight is not typically provided in argentine hotels. Major headache as its very expensive to "send out" your clothes. Next time I go to Argentina I'll stay in hostel as they seem to have "everything" and at a cheaper price. My inexperienced traveller relative was with me so for this reason did not want to subject a "newbie" to hostel life yet. The other pluses; the breakfast was adequate and the dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff Juan, German and the other guys were reasonably courteous and professional.
Broadway Hotel and Suites is well located on Corrientes Avenue in the Theatre District of Buenos Aires close to many excellent places to eat and centrally located in this large city. The room I had was comfortable with a really good bathroom and great bed. Staff were helpful and courteous. Room prices for a large city were quite reasonable
Well located close to metro, restaurants and sites of interest. Very nice rooftop pool with sunbeds. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. We stayed at the hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to South America, staying in a junior suite. The suites were spacious with a separate kitchenette with microwave, fridge, table and chairs and either a sofa or 2 chairs. The bedroom overlooked Avienda Corrientes and traffic noise could be heard even on the 6th floor. The bathroom was a little dated. Overall good value for money.
We wanted a base to explore Buenos Aires and a refuge to relax after shopping and sightseeing. The Broadway was perfect for both. Located in the heart of theatre land and only 200m from 2 metro stations, it was easy to het to interesting places, including the wonderful Pizza Guerin which is just across the road. After a long day in the city the roof top pool was a great place to relax and the airy air conditioned rooms provided a good night's sleep. The very best thing were the desk staff who went out of their way to help us as first time visitors to the city. One small thing. We stayed our first night in room 1109 but asked to move because of a persistent low frequency rumble. If that sort of thing bothers you then mention it when you book.
