Fabulous place, great atmosphere and excellent staff. It all felt like being in a family house, cosy and warm ambiance. Interior decor was beautiful and we had a very nice room. I sincerely wish to comeback again. Once again compliments to the nice and polite people working there.
I loved my stay here and would rank as one of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in. We stayed in Eleanor’s room as we needed twin beds. So peaceful across the courtyard. We appreciated the staff’s support on arrival, things to visit taxis for and departure, restaurant recommendations, tango shows and running routes. Breakfast was a delight. Tea to our room on request. If we had stayed longer I would definitely have spent time sipping from the bar, watching movies and relishing the intimacy of the connection with the family. Garden spaces to sit and unwind are lovely. If I run away I have told my family to look for me here.
my wife and i live in manhattan and stayed in the roman suite at be jardin for four days / three nights in aug after a week snowboarding in patagonia. jardin escondito was the perfect place to relax in palermo - small and intimate, beautiful courtyard gardens, lovely sitting area inside - and the staff was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. we loved it here - i joked with my wife that staying at jardin was like staying at your wealthy uncle's city mansion, with impeccable staff to make your stay memorable. not a single negative thing to say.
the best place to feel like home. the people, the breakfast as if it were in your house. the attentive service of all. the atmosphere and all the decor make it the place like no other place to be in buenos aires.
This is a very special and memorable boutique hotel that feels like home. The decor is exquisite - old BA meets all the modern conveniences. The staff is utterly amazing - the most friendly, knowledgeable people, who can recommend the hippest/coolest spots in BA that you'd never know about otherwise. The breakfasts were out of the world - a huge buffet of the best pastries, eggs, fruit, cheese and meats. Plus they serve you a delicious tea and the most fabulous alfajores in the afternoon. My daughter and I were there during the country-wide power outage and the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive. I would give this play 10 stars if I would and will definitely be back!!
The hotel was very quaint - loved the rooms and the feel of the whole place - it's very small, and that's one of the things that made it so nice. They were super accommodating, and extremely helpful. The location is great too - lots to do within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again - thanks for making it such as great stay!
I stayed in the Francis Ford Coppola’s Studio on the first floor at the back of the hotel. I was travelling alone so suited me to a ‘T’. I stayed there for a week. In front of the studio there was a small terrace with table and chairs, but adjacent was a large plant filled terrace also with a table for six at the end under cover of a pergola. This terrace buzzed with insect and bird life during the day. Nobody used it so was like a bonus for the guest in the studio. The hotel consists of just 7 bedrooms, and feels like you are staying in someone’s house from the eighties or nineties, which you are. Lots of antique and artistic finds by Coppola’s wife are married up with large comfortable pieces of furniture and lighting. Breakfasts are healthy or not as you wish, with lots of fresh cut fruit, ham and cheese, toasted breads, cooked breakfasts, pastries, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and a yoghurt made on the premises etc. All freshly prepared for you. The staff are excellent and friendly. They are also a mine of information on good local and not so local restaurants, and places of real interest to visit. I enjoyed my stay so much I didn’t want to leave. I can’t remember the last time I felt that about a place.
This is a house remodelled into a boutique hotel - and therefore it is not for everyone. However, if you wish to avoid a big box hotel, or desire to be in the thick of things in the uber-cool Palermo Soho neighbourhood, then this is for you. Small number of rooms, all a bit different. We stayed here twice, a week apart, and for the second stay we asked for a garden-facing room. The different rooms are not clear on the online booking sites such as Agoda or Booking, so perhaps you would choose to peruse the property's own website. They have 2 rooms facing the street, and these are perhaps a bit noisy on the weekends, one has to keep the windows closed - the aircon works well. The garden facing rooms are really quite serene - we had the Sofia room, which is upstairs, next to Roman room. There is an adequately stocked minibar in each room, prices displayed are moderate. The concierge/receptionists are happy to book cars, restaurants, or give advice on near-by sights. It is a short distance to some nice parks where I enjoyed a picturesque jog, Again, this is almost a home-stay (at breakfast there is but one long table to share) and so people wanting all mod cons from a branded hotel should probably stay elsewhere - this is a lovely little boutique establishment, uncomplicated and warm, stylish and friendly. Most of all, the location is superb - it is a way to stay really locally.
The small boutique hotel is a little gem hidden in the Palermo district of “B A”. Staff are attentive, friendly and always willing to help. The lounge/breakfast room is beautifully furnished in a colonial style, with a lovely courtyard garden outside. We stayed in room Sophia, comfortable bed with a view of the garden. The only slight downside was the bathroom was a little tired. Breakfast was perfect with a good choice of fresh fruits as well as the cooked. If staying again we would go for one of the suites overlooking the courtyard.
