Location is good. It's showing a bit of wear and isn't as beautiful as it is in the website photos--but it's clean & comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet which is served in the hotel's cafe. It's mostly sweet stuff but they will also make you eggs. The coffee is excellent as was the service. All employees were friendly & helpful.
Stayed here 5 nights. Good enough location. The hotel isn't much to look at though. They have breakfast but it's small and short on stuff. Never had hardly any fresh fruit. The room was OK but not great. It was really cold at night. They did a poor job of cleaning the bathroom in the morning. The front staff were very helpful and friendly though. Good value for your dollar overall but definitely not a 4+ rated hotel
Stayed here twice in March, once at the beginning of our trip for 3 nights and then after traveling in Argentina (Iguazu and Bariloche). The hotel is modern, clean, and quiet. The rooms are a nice size and ours came with a lovely small patio. Front desk staff were helpful, friendly and quick to respond to our requests. Breakfast was a solid continental (lots of pastries, some cheeses and cold meats, yogurt, fruit and breads for toasting) plus (one day - but not all) the offer of some cooked-to-order eggs. Location is in the heart of Palermo, about a 10-12 minute walk to the subway. While the area is not crammed filled with restaurants and bars, there are options within walking distance. Streets felt a bit deserted around 10pm on a weekday, which puzzled us given the very late hours Argentinians keep. BA is a huge city, but it is not hard to get a taxi or an Uber at the hotel or on the street, and taxis are relatively cheap. With that in mind, no one neighborhood would be ideal for a BA stay, and I was quite happy, and felt relatively safe, in Palermo. All in all, a solid 4 star and a good, well-priced choice for a BA visit.
We arrived after a long flight from Washington DC. Our two kids 8 and 6 were exhausted. Our room was not ready, it was 1030 am, but staff was extremely nice and helpful to make our wait as comfortable as possible. Room was very nice and clean. Staff extremely professional and courteous. Great experience and highly recommended. We will come back.
We really enjoyed our stay at BA Sohotel in Buenos Aires. The front desk was extremely accommodating and helpful especially with us not knowing the Spanish language. They helped us get dinner reservations, recommended places to visit, arranged transportation, and directed us seeing the best of BA. The internet connection in the room was not very strong and difficult to connect, but the lobby connection was good. The room is large but sparely furnished (bed, desk, refrig, small chair) but everything you really need. Little balcony, with view of street below. Uncomfortable deck chairs. Room and bathroom clean. Pool area extremely small. The pool and hot tub did not look very clean (decided not to even go in). Good free breakfast each day.
We were looking for a spot that would offer a safe and interesting neighborhood. Unfortunately, the area is congested and noisy, and a bit far from shops and parks. We did walk to the botanical garden one day, and attempted to walk to Recoleta, but it was hot and the traffic made the walking unpleasant. I would recommend that the staff put together a small list of things for visitors to see and do in the area. I chose this hotel because of the reviews saying the neighborhood was charming, etc. I don't agree! We did find the staff to be very helpful, incredible attentive, and the hotel was a great place to gather with family. The location is not great for the price.
Our first trip to Buenos Aries and were not sure in which area to stay. Well, we lucked out and chose a fantastic location. So many independent shops, bakeries, cafes, gelato shops, restaurants and parks. We even walked to the Recoleta area from hotel. The staff at the hotel were fantastic - attentive, friendly and efficient. We booked 2 tours through them and were very satisfied. They also arranged transportation from/to airport. Restaurant waiters were wonderful - making hot chocolate and eggs for our children every morning! Just a couple of minor things to be seen to, i.e. shower handle in bathroom but other than that, comfortable beds, nice balcony, and spacious room. Would return again.
Small hotel in Palermo Soho which is an incredible location! Think Chelsea/Soho in NYC. Cute shops and restaurants and bars. Hotel was clean and rooms were large. Hotel staff is incredible; friendly, polite and incredibly helpful. They absolutely went the extra mile and by the end of the week knew my name. I would highly recommend staying here!
My choice was based on the hotels location ( 5 min walk to La Rural Fair) in Palermo. The staff is very helpfull with all kinds of different requests. I was on a very busy business trip and they assisted me on different requests to perfection. I had booked higher category room with a balcony - a very good option to feel more at home. The hotel does not really feels like a hotel but more like a guest house. Everyone is very friendly and you get the feeling of being more a guests than a customer. The standard of the rooms is maybe not the highest but the beds are good and the rooms are well equiped.Palermo Soho is a very cosy Residential area 20 min drive from down town Buenos Aires. During the evening you have a very good option of nice and good restaurants in the area.
My first time at this hotel was good I kept coming over and over since the staff is great and the rates are good However the rooms continued to go down with details as drapes in the window falling down, the door lock chain being first broken and finally removed Soaps in a microscopic size, the sofa completely broken ( I paid extra person for my nephew and both legs were broken) The toilet lid need to be replaced since it was ocmpletely damaged The pool during summer time was not clean and like so I honestly feel that the owner does not care The property is good and the rooms are good in size. The ones advertised ad two queen beds actually have 2 double beds since the size of the bed is not queen Breakfast is ok The best part of this hotel is the staff and the size of the rooms
