Lovely hotel for a night- we flew in late and headed out the city early the next day so wasn't here for long but I would stay again. Clean, good value and friendly staff. Breakfast seemed way overpriced, especially as there is a really decent supermarket a block away. I'm unsure on its proximity to the city sights because we didn't use it for this. We had a balcony with a street view. For a place to sleep for the night it was great.

First the positives. Nice clean room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Gorgeous bathroom with double shower and again spotless. Only 10 minutes walk to University Plaza. Staff very helpful through booking process Negatives - I was given room 405 which has the large wrap around terrace which has great potential. However the reality is that it is grubby and unattractive with fag ends, chewing gum and carpet tiles thrown on the artificial grass. No outdoor furniture so you can't sit on it. Although it is near to the City Centre, it does appear to be a pretty run down street but clearly that is not the fault of the hotel. Not a bad price for city centre location. It would be cheap and easy to upgrade the outside to match the inside.

We had arranged airport pick up through the hotel and that worked fine. Our check-In very quick with a friendly fellow at desk who gave us a map and a good restaurant recommendation. Our room was comfortable with a double bed, comfortable chair plus a desk with a stool.. I particularly liked that it had a safe and also a fridge. There was a small balcony and a pleasant view of many trees through the window. Another things that I appreciated was that our room had 2 suitcase racks. The TV was small but that wasn't a problem for us as I don't think we ever turned it on during our stay. The location was good and we could walk to many of the tourist locations. Others have been critical of the breakfast but it was fine for us with the omelets that they make on request.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It is small, nice, the staff are very pleasant and nice. The room was extremely functional and not very typical, but you have all sorts of things in it. For example, you have a pot for boiling water with two cups and tea bags, coffee and sugar. Therefore, you can make some coffee or tea in your room. The mini bar is actually empty, so you can use it. You also have a kit for cleaning your suit and shoes! In the bathroom you also have a sewing kit etc. TV is new and it has a usb port. The only thing that was a little bit unpleasant was the heating. It is central heating, but you cannot regulate the temperature in the room, so it was very hot (and we were there in November!). The breakfast is typical and it is just fine, you have a variety of choices. The location is also very good, it is 5 min walk to the National Theater and 15 min walk to Unirii Square. But basically, you can go almost anywhere by foot.

I went in a business trip and I booked this hotel as it's close to my office. I didn't feel welcome at all in there and the staff was kind of rude. They were always asking me about the payment and I had to pay before checking out for some reason. The breakfast is basic and at the end of the week they had very dry stuff in there. Coffee was good, though. They need to teach the receptionist and other people working there to make guests feel respected and welcomed.

HORRIBLE LOCATION. Felt very shady and unsafe. Staff was RUDE and unhelpful. One of our rooms was nice and the AC worked fine. In another the room felt cluttered, the AC did not work at all, the shower was broken so water leaked everywhere and the blow dryer stopped working. Breakfast was cheap and the minimum. They don't even tell you that you can order omelettes, I just saw others eating them! STAY anywhere else!

A budget hotel about a 15 min walk to nearest metro. Room was not to big with furniture and carpet was a bit dated. Had a small fridge and a room safe which was handy. Breakfast was basic, however they will make you a tasty omelette upon request. Plastic plants in hallways- don`t bother. Reception staff not the most cheerful. Would I stay here again - No.

Great Courtyard, friendly service, good breakfast and right by the shore with boats close by. Quaint and beautiful spacious rooms. Loved the tiled bathrooms! Too bad there is no had great spicy Chai instead.

The Tempo City Hotel is definitely the place to stay whilst you're in Bucharest! It is about a 10-15 walk to Old Bucharest where you can can find many restaurants, bars, shops, and anything else you can think of. The hotel itself is amazing, clean rooms, lovely breakfast, and fabulous staff. The location is also away from the busy streets, so it is very quiet. I could go on, but in short, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and it is perfect for travelers who need a nice, quiet, and inexpensive place to sleep during their stay in Bucharest!

Great price and a great 3 stars hotel. It's nothing fancy but if you don't plan on staying most of the day in the room, it's exactly what you need to put your head at the end of the day. Staff members are very kind and will do all they can to please you.
