Hotel is more or less in the center of the city, close to the Piata Romana. It's not far from the Piata Romana metro. Ride from the airport late Sunday evening was 40 Lei with tip. There is a bus from the airport (783) that stops near the hotel, but I was arriving on a holiday and it wasn't running. Hotel is very comfortable. I was in an upgraded room on an upper floor. Comfortable bed, very clean room. Not noisy. Good for a business traveler. Safe in room, iron and ironing board. I had breakfast in the upstairs lounge. Not bad, but was the same warm options everyday. Evening snacks were OK. The sushi options I didn't think were that great, but it may have been a bad weekend. Staff was helpful. I'd stay here again if in Bucharest.
This is one of the better hotels in Bucharest, and our stay here was very enjoyable. We were able to get a room with a view and there was no street noise whatsoever. Viking cruises booked a pre-trip room for us here, and we privately booked another night via a booking website in order to get an extended stay. Our concern was that we didn’t want to vacate the room and move to another room if there was a price difference between the Viking room and the one we booked. I emailed this concern to their management, and they ensured that we stayed both nights in the same room, all seamless and perfect. A big thanks to the Sheraton management for their assistance and our being able to travel to their hotel without this concern. The AVALON Restaurant served an American buffet breakfast, which was above standard for Eastern Europe: an omelet station, waffles to order, various egg dishes, fresh pastries, fruit juices, Cappuccino and lattes, fresh fruit, cheeses, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and much-much more. It was delicious. Be forewarned, the coffee that the waiters bring is strong and bitter tasting, almost like Turkish coffee. Many people dont realize that the machine-made latte, cappuccino, and other coffees are available at no extra charge, and they are very good. The machine is in the dining room seating area and is either self-serve or the waiters can fetch it for you. Again, communication with hotel staff and management occurred prior to our stay due to a special circumstance, and was excellent. This was personally, a special time for us, and hotel management went beyond what we expected. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice visit to Bucharest, wanting a prime location, and guests wanting a memorable experience. Thanks to all of the staff at the Bucharest Sheraton!
Great hotel. Clean, professional, nicely located with exchange nearby. and very friendly. Great food. Cristina at the bar was especially helpful and friendly. And the burgers at the bar are awesome. Highly recommended.
Far from the other five-star hospitalities in Bucharest, the Sheraton Hotel distances itself form others firstly with its restaurants / bars and then with its highest quality design and furniture. The good taste is found everywhere and the smart employees are available every time with a true smile and willingness to solve your smallest issues.
Just had a 2-night stay in the Sheraton. The room is comfortable and clean. I like the big countertop in the bathroom. Both the selection and the quality of the buffet breakfast are good. Hotel location is convenient, accessible to main attractions in Bucharest. We were there during the Easter weekend (note: Easter in Romania is on different dates from most countries) so many shops/restaurants were closed and the whole city was very quiet. Ana from guest services tirelessly helped us check which restaurants were open; Alexandru did the check in and check out for us efficiently. We really appreciate the help of Tudor, the concierge who answered patiently the many questions I had and suggested some interesting spots to visit alternative to museums/concerts/parliament that were closed.
Check-in and check-outs were quick and friendly. The room was clean and quiet, but rather small in size. The bed was very comfortable. The conference rooms were well equipped and well-suited for meetings. The meals at the conference were great.
This is a wonderful hotel near the Romana place I refer in particular to Eugen who greeted us at the amazing reception. the Razavan concierge has provided us with excellent service. razavan is a pleasant service provider, very polite, extraordinary patience and must, in my opinion, be the most worthy service person I have ever met. The room on the new floor that I received was functional. Breakfast was satisfactory and full In conclusion, the hotel is highly recommended.
I’m guessing it’s the proximity to the Benihana downstairs, but this is the first club lounge I’ve been in that had sushi. And it was good! The hotel was also good and consistent with other Sheraton’s. Walking distance to a large number of local restaurants and some fast food if you’re desperate. The staff at Benihana said it’s the last one in Europe - so catch it while you can, but get a reservation. We had a very difficult time getting a seat and tried for several days. At some point we just stood in front of their doors 10 minutes before they opened and wore them down... but the easier way would be a reservation.
The bar in the lobby was great. They had food and a good variety of beverages. But the best thing was the service. Christina was great. She gave excellent service, never had to ask for anything. She was right on top of everything and I never had to wait for my beverage. Would definitely recommend if she is working!
As part of our Eastern European Cruise, we got two nights stay at the Sheraton Bucharest. It was a wonderful stay. Since I am a Platinum member of Sheraton, we got upgraded to a suite on the 16th floor with a great view of the city. The suite has everything you need. Hot water pot, tea and coffee, water, even slippers. The Club is also very nice with lots of choices for breakfast, evening drinks and so on. There are several different fruit juices for breakfast and many meats and cheeses for example. Service is good at the restaurant also.
