Sheraton Bucharest Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

This is typical Sheraton, with a better than average service. The lobby is crowded and smallish. The front desk is OK, but not great. The rooms are nice and comfortable and there is a large bathroom. I would rate the hotel just about what you would expect from a Sheraton, but nothing extraordinary. The breakfast service was excellent, with very attentive staff!
One of the better sheratons I have stayed in around the world. The location is great - 2 km from historic centre and less than 3 from the parliament. Staff is undeniably great - great service and help. Zero complaints - rooms are on the smaller side but guess its expected from Sheratons.
Rooms are exactly what you expect of a Sheraton, if not a little better. Perfectly suitable for a business trip. Where the hotel falls down is the public areas. The breakfast room is large and busy and has a "package" feel with staff rushing to serve coffee and people going up and down to the buffet. Checking in and out can be painful given queues from coach parties. The lobby isn't an exactly a relaxing place to meet people or have a drink but is fine. That said, the staff are very good and it is very good value.
Typical Sheraton with clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast was okay but there was a bit of a queue for the food which was frustrating and a bit chaotic. Reception staff and bar service was excellent and interactive, especially the lady serving in the bar.
This is a pretty standard Sheraton Hotel. Very good desk staff, good restaurant staff, good housekeeping. The Avalon restaurant food was okay, and the Benihana restaurant was okay also. I have been to better Benihanas.
We spent three nights here and had a great time. Although a bit of a walk to the attractions, taxis are cheap. We spent a fair amount of time in the Sheraton Club where Aurelia and Alexandra took good care of us. Andrei was awesome as the front desk person and took care of all our needs. Service like this makes for a great stay.
I stayed at the hotel for one night before boarding my river cruise ship at Guirgiu. It is located in the heart of Bucharest close to the Romanian Athenaeum and a convenient Metro stop. The hotel has a spa and gym, two restaurants and a bar. It is a typical modern city centre hotel. The Bucharest Sheraton is comfortable, clean, efficiently run, in a convenient location and the staff friendly.
Location is good for both the city and the airport and in the relatively quiet and upmarket Embassy district, felt safe for an evening stroll. Its a tall tower block (18 floors I think) so lots of good views. Helpful and friendly reception staff with excellent English, including a free upgrade because a standard room was not ready. Room was large, very well decorated/furnished and in excellent condition. AC had been left on very cold but was welcome after the heat wave outside. I didn't try the restaurant but the room service club sandwich was a very good lunch and delivered fast. Breakfast also good, with call order chef for eggs etc. Was a bit busy one day later on (after 9) All very good, will go back next time I am in town.
A review from Vancouver, Canada guests. My husband and I had a very nice 5 night stay at the Sheraton Bucharest with breakfast included. Sheraton Bucharest is a very modern hotel at a great location with excellent and uninterrupted WIFI throughout. At our check in, we were greeted by warm and welcoming staff. We had a rental car and the concierge was very helpful in both parking and retrieving our car as needed. We had a well appointed quiet room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast area was spacious and one of the best in any hotel I have experienced and accompanied by excellent hospitality. We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were genuinely interactive and attentive. The buffet style breakfast included abundance of fresh fruit in addition to a great selection of spreads, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, breads and buns, juices, eggs and omelets cooked to order, plain and flavoured yogurts, and other hot and cold items including a selection of coffees and teas. The restaurant manager, Mr. Dan Munteanu along with his excellent staff, especially his supervisors; Adina and Mihaela were very pleasant and hospitable, ensuring their guest were well taken care of. Perfect location, outstanding service and lovely ambience make it easy to write about and recommend this place. We hope to be back to this hotel and we highly recommend it to others when in the area.
Four nights in Bucharest on business led me to the Sheraton. I had previously used the Marriott but that was over 10 years ago and prices had soared. I was very impressed with the Sheraton - particularly the staff who were very welcoming and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room well appointed. Some of my colleagues had problems with the air con which under performed but mine was fine. The breakfast was great and the bar behind reception is a great place to people watch. The glass is mirrored on the outside and you get your own floor show of passers-by admiring themselves! I was sorry to leave. The picture is from the bar.
