This is the type of hotel I love. All modern hotel are the same - maybe comfortable, but nothing unusual about them. This one - really genuine, original, unique. I had executive room on 6th floor - really beautiful! Bed quite good, tea set, TV, dressing gown - typical. Hot water is available immediately, do not need to wait. Elevator. Many electrical sockets. Close to hotel market, pharmacy, ATM, and shoarma. Feet distance to old town and parliament. I had not breakfasts, so I can't say much about it. Room was quiet under condition windows are closed. Not sure if there is AC. Safe available.
The Venezia is an old hotel (it not seems outside) close to the center of Bucharest. This is the only good thing. We stayed in room 206. The bathroom was little, the taps not good, the handle broken. The lines of bed were little broken. The room is tipically of a two stars hotel not of a fuor stars. The same opinion is for the poor breakfast. We won’t come back.
I suggest this hotel for many reasons. It is clean, the price is reasonable, staff is ready to help any time. This hotel is located near cismigiu lake and is near of many places of interest, you can easily go to the old town or walk to the famous and crowded greek stavropoleos street with the monastery.the room is confortable and it has cable tv and other facilities.
It is in a great location, right next to the Lake Cismigiu. Comfortable and clean rooms, helpful staff in the morning. I would like more courtesy from the reception staff. Request one of the quiet rooms.
The hotel is very well located, 15 min walk to Old Town, 10 min away from Parliament Building. It is lovely to see the furniture and furnishing, trying to creat a venetian feeling. But there are some issues they have to take care: bed linens and pillow linens should be replaced, they look old and used; also the air conditioning should be cleaned and sanitized....there was a smell coming from the air vent. Breakfast is common, and the do not serve dinner at the hotel. Luckly, there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. Also rooms are tiny, not very large, we had a room at the fifth floor, with a tiny balcony and nice view.
Do not recommend this hotel Bad attitude Bad location Drunken near the hotel Rooms with mold and shower doors that do not close Bad hotel I would not give it even two stars The only good thing that is close to the Old City
Very nice hotel, pretty clean, AC, good services and cool position, 5 min to Cismigiu Gardens, 10 min to Palace of Parliament and 15 -20 min to the old downtown. The breakfast was expensive so I didn't choose it when I booked the room. The hotel is near an unlighted street, so you should pay attention in the evening/night.
Incredible but true. The hotel does not have towels. Not once or for one room but several times and for groups too.the hotel does not have towels!!!!! They gain through the ospitality of the people working there which are great but the management is really bad if a hotel like that does not have the basic of it which is a towel!!!
very close to city center and many attractions, this hotel provides you a good standard of service around the clock. it is almost all the time full, and its reputation is always good by all the friends who visited it...
At first glance, this is quite an impressive hotel and for the area it's in, seems opulent and welcoming. They've played to the Italian theme well, with interesting busts, statues and decor in the lobby that certainly make it very up market. The staff are welcoming and friendly in the main, but some of them can't tear themselves away from their cell phones for long. There is a strange odour in the corridors which is sort of like stale tobacco, but not quite. Stale tobacco masked by Glade might be the right description. My room was pretty large, with two single beds and a vast bathroom, but it was right next to the elevator on the back of the building and the view was of, well, someone's dingey balcony roof. The room doesn't have much in the way of furniture, other than a smallish desk and a pretty uncomfortable chair. I didn't really notice on check in, but once I'd had a good nose around, I realised that the sheets and bedding were very grubby. The duvet looked like someone had wiped their feet on it. The towels were the same. Some really nasty black stains. There was also long black hair on the bathroom floor. Clearly the room had not been thoroughly cleaned for quite some time. When I talked to the front desk, they sent the house keeper straight away and by the time I came back up in the elevator, she was waiting for me. She changed all the linens and the towels, but didn't really do anything about the general cleanliness of the room. When I came back, a potato chip that was on the floor when I arrived was still there, so they clearly hadn't vaccuumed at all or at least, not thoroughly. I do give the property credit for trying to fix things as soon as they were told of the problems, but the problems shouldn't have existed. The bathroom is very old fashioned, with separate hot & cold taps, making mixing the right water temp tricky and the water ran ice cold in the shower more than once. There is however a very large bath tub and the bathroom itself is surprisingly large. There's very good wifi signal (free of charge) a TV (but I never switched it on) and a safe as well as an expensive mini bar. There is tea, coffee & kettle, but no drinking water provided. Breakfast was included but is served in a very small area with very few tables and it all felt very crushed. For drinks, tea and Espresso coffee is all that is available, from a very slow machine, together with concentrated fruit juices made with water. There were a lot of cold items to choose from, but only eggs & bacon hot. The location is good for seeing the city, the old town etc., but surrounding the property are some sleazy betting shops & "gentlemen's clubs" but there are a few mini supermarkets to stock up.
