I've stayed here several times on business trips and always been very pleased. It has lots of character and is quite 'traditional' but comfortable and the staff are all very nice. Rooms are very spacious, almost like suites and are nice and clean. makes a pleasant change from the 'global standard' hotels. it doesn't have a lift because of the quirkiness of the old building but that's not too much of a bother.
Beautiful building with antiquity design & furniture, large rooms, top quality breakfast, kind & helpful personnel. Situated in a nice neighborhood, close to the centre . I strongly recommend it! Congrats!
It is a lovely little hotel with very helpful and friendly stuff. But the best of it is the restaurant - very charming, intimate, a happy little place where you can enjoy excellent dinner at affordable prices. From chicken soup to foie gras, from vol-au-vent to national dishes and chocolate cake made by chef.
Yery quiet hotel with nice terrace in front and on 1st floor. Very close to the Arc de Triomphe. Friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms, very good breakfast. Perfect recommendation, but unfortunately had no Eleanor so only 4 out of 5...
This hotel is adequate. You need to be careful which room you are given, some of the rooms have no windows and others have windows looking into the internal corridors. Some rooms have windows looking onto an external seating area of the bar, though the bar only appears to operate when there's a function event taking place. Probably best to ask for a room not on the ground floor.
I was looking for a small and quiet hotel close to the business premises I was visiting and it proved suitable. The room was big, its bathroom was renovated and clean, the breakfast was very good and service very friendly. Not to forget also its affordable price.
This hotel is 4.5km from the old city (tourist hot spot), but a tax is only £2.50 to the centre, so if you don't mind that, it won't be an issue. It's quiet because it's not in the city centre. The hotel itself is well maintained with spacious rooms. The food is good and reasonably priced. The breakfast is lovely. Most of the staff members were lovely and helpful. We only experienced one problem. We arrived on the Wed and asked for a packed breakfast for our early morning day trip on the Thur at 7am. The chief receptionist did not understand and got frustrated, so I stopped trying to explain. We were not given a packed breakfast, instead on the last day (Sat) we were offered a packed breakfast and woken up at 7am (confusion) when we were only due to leave in the afternoon. Quite frustrating. The rest of the stay was okay and the staff were great. Not sure if I would return though.
We booked this hotel with quite high expectations, it being a four-star hotel. However, these expectations were not met everywhere. Upon arrival our room (being called a special room) was not ready yet and we were offered a drink on the house while waiting another 45 minutes for it to get ready. The service here from both the reception as well as the restaurant staff was very good. The room itself was a bit disappointing though: it was not as spacious and luxurious as made believe on the website. Breakfast was good two out of three days, where the waiter was really friendly and the buffet options were good. On our last day there was no buffet (probably because there were too few guests?) and the girl serving us there clearly wasn't in the mood to be working at all. I ordered pancakes from the breakfast menu, along with a plate of fruit, but I only got the plate of fruit. After 10 minutes I had to ask the girl myself for the pancakes on which she simply replied: 'not possible'. No apologies, no initiative to come tell me myself and no alternative offered. This left a bad vibe on our last morning in the hotel. Overall, the quality of the hotel is okay and we had a pleasant stay, but it does not meet up the expectations most western Europeans would have of a four-star hotel and therefore we found it a bit overpriced.
We stayed in the comfortable and spacious room 25. The shower was good and the bathroom was well designed (even if the shelf over the sink was awkwardly placed). Breakfast was satisfactory rather than outstanding but, at least in my case, the service was excellent: seeing that all the smoked salmon had been eaten, after five minutes an employee - the manageress? - brought me a full plate of smoked salmon canapes. You can't get better than that. The staff at reception were also very helpful. The hotel is spotless and the rooms well-appointed, but the building is a little like a rabbit warren and there are lots of corridors. Equally, the absence of a lift might cause problems for some.
Here recently for business, and whilst the reception staff were fantastic, not needing to be reminded which number my room was, when giving back the CHUNKY keyring, there are plenty of areas for improvement. The rooms are fine in general, but plug sockets hard to find and the bathroom very, very dated. A low shower attachment meaning either a bath, or a kneeling shower was necessary, and dim lighting in the bathroom. Breakfast not superb either, very unattentive staff.
