Bad service... we stayed there for a week, 3 times I requested coffee/sugar as they do provide coffee maker. Not only they did not provide any, they did not even cleaned/replaced the mugs we used. We did finally get coffee grounds on our last day there.

When we got there, one representative was rude. I asked if we could check in at 1pm vs. 3pm and said no rooms available, which is understandable. I asked if we could drop off our 3 backpacks and she said it was too much luggage. A few minutes later we saw a family was able to drop off their luggage. I asked a second representative and immediately she replied, "Of course." So, one rep was nice and one rude. The guests can only get one towel a day with limited hours to get and return towels. They write the guest name and room number along the towel number near the tag. When I went back to check in, the rude rep asked for my reservation name and.gave me my room and one key, but no WIFI or anything else. She was very rude still. I was under the impression that we had easy access to the beach, but they told me that I had beach view from the 5th floor. However, we had to cross a small street, a parking lot, and some more hotel rooms to access the beach. The infinity pool was dirty and too warm to the touch, it was uncomfortable. Another pool was a little cleaner. On the beach, it was uncomfortable to walk into the water due to the pebbles and rocks. It is only about a" 10 feet band of rocky terrain under the water. But it is all along that area. The good thing is that there is a small restaurant within walkig distance called Rinconcito Mexicano. The food there is really good. Freshly cooked as you order. There is also a convenient store.

Not everywhere needs to be a 5-star stay, and that's okay. Normally we like this no-frills, approachable spot, but we left disappointed this time. Firstly, one of their pools with the waterslide (the whole reason we booked here) was out of service when we arrived - and we were never informed beforehand. This hotel needs some attention to detail, but otherwise is just ok, especially for a budget-friendly family getaway. Our patio was dirty with dead bugs and bird poop on the chairs, one sticky spot in a corner of the room, etc. Visible signs of disrepair made me a bit nervous of the safety of some structures. There was very noisy construction going on all day so it made the pool area not very enjoyable. Despite being the low season with pretty low occupancy rates, they placed us in a connecting suite with another family next door that made a lot of noise ... with so much room you'd think they could spread us out a bit.

We got a deluxe king ocean view room. It was nice with a big balcony and a comfy bed. The restaurant had good food and was affordable. There were three pools. The one on the beach was amazing. There was an oxxo and pharmacy connected to the hotel which was super convenient for drinks, sunscreen, etc. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the town center where the market is at. There were lots of retorts and shops along the way and it was very safe to walk.

In 50 years of traveling to Mexico for vacations I have never experienced truly unfriendly service, until this trip. I don't know if the staff had just been penalized or reprimanded before we arrived, but it was quite noticeable that they were not happy. I'm sure it wasn't because of anything we did or said. The Hotel itself is not bad. The pool area is nice, and our room was clean and recently updated. Noise from the neighboring room was not a good thing, but generally the accommodations were OK. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it is a decent budget hotel. If it were run by a more pleasant staff I would consider staying there again. The restaurant was ok, the food was ok, but the service there was also indifferent. I'm not sure why the staff had such a dark cloud hanging over them, but I hope things clear up for them.

The rooms are extremely small, they are smelly because of the drainage. The staff giving out the pool towels are very rude. They just ask what room even after you have said good morning etc.

The lady who walked us to our room was indifferent, didn’t explain nothing, not even the WiFi password, the amenities, how to do X or Y, nothing, we had to later walk up to the desk and ask. The water feels off, I don’t know if it’s extremely chlorinated but it made our skin feel really dry, we had to buy jugs of water to wash ourselves off. Overall a very mid experience.
