"Knotty Knoll" log cabin is nestled on 3+ acres.. The cabin is secluded, yet only 5 minutes to Downtown Bryson City.
Surrounded by mature trees and beautiful foliage, the atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, with fantastic views of the mountains and forest.
The well maintained private road will lead you to Knotty Knoll. The paved driveway is in excellent condition and easily accessible year-round...no need for 4WD. Ice melt is provided in case of ice on the driveway or stairs during the winter months.
Knotty Knoll is one of VRBO's most popular cabins in Bryson City and has maintained a 5 Star rating for over 20 years.
The open floor plan features vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a wood burning fireplace faced with local creek stones. Dry split firewood is provided for an optional $25 fee. Please provide your own kindling.
The cabin features 2 bedrooms.. one with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. The spacious loft has 2 additional twin size beds along with a full bathroom.
The main floor full bathroom features a clawfoot tub/shower.
The loft full bathroom features a shower.
Liquid hand soap is provided as well as travel-size shampoo and conditioner.
The living room offers a comfortable sectional sofa that seats 4 and a cushioned rocker. The dining room table will accommodate 6. The upstairs loft provides additional space for children and adults, 2 twin beds, a small game table with 2 chairs, and a relaxing easy chair.
The kitchen is well equipped with updated appliances, microwave, pots and pans, utensils, blender, electric mixer, crock pot, 4-slice toaster, and coffee makers (espresso, regular, and Keurig). Dish detergent and paper towels provided.
The game room with a half bath is accessible only from the garage/basement. It features a pool/billiard table, wet bar, flat screen TV, and surround sound system.
Enjoy beautiful views from the large covered porch that is outfitted with rockers, porch swing, and ceiling fans.
The backyard provides the perfect space to hang out near the fire pit or soak in the clean hot tub while taking in the awesome views! A picnic table and Adirondack chairs are provided as well as additional camping chairs that are stored in the garage. There is a park-style charcoal grill available and is covered for your convenience.
The full size washer and dryer are located in the garage/basement.
Knotty Knoll is a motorcycle friendly destination. The driveway is not too steep for an experienced rider. Travelling with a small trailer? We can accommodate. Please contact us for available options. The garage will accommodate up to 4 motorcycles.
The Cabin's climate is controlled by a central heat and air system.

Knotty Knoll is close to all the great outdoor activities the area has to offer. Fishing, whitewater rafting, tubing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, zip-lining, and mountain biking.
Explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Deep Creek Recreation Area, and the Road to Nowhere. Fontana Lake and dam is within 20 minutes, Harrah's Casino in Cherokee is nearby. Asheville and the nearest airport are 1 hour away. Gatlinburg is an hour and 15 minutes. You can even golf in nearby Whittier!

Awesome Cabin in the Mountains

The cabin was amazing! Loved the location where we felt like we were totally in the mountains, but could also get to town in a few minutes. Being able to sit out on the porch and listen to the wildlife, enjoy the hot tub, the fire pit, and the game room made for an amazing vacation. We also enjoyed the town of Bryson City and a few of the neighboring towns for some good craft beer. Definitely would recommend and stay again!

Our family loved staying at the cabin, we love Bryson city and this cabin was excellent, close to town but quiet and peaceful. From the spacious layout to the gameroom downstairs (my favorite space) it was amazing.

Fantastic Cabin!

We wanted mountain views and a feeling of being remote, but with a minivan and a 7 month old we also wanted ease of access and close to town. This cabin is the perfect combination of both! Super clean, cozy, and amazing views. All with only 5 mins to downtown, grocery store, anything you need. The hot tub was such a nice perk every evening. And the owners were so quick to respond to any question we had. Loved every bit of our getaway!

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

We had a wonderful long weekend with close proximity to Bryson City - great views, but at the same time secluded, with all the amenities you could ask for - hot tub, fire pit, cozy interior decor, and plenty of space in the living room to spread out. Slept great in the master bedroom king size bed.

The Knotty Knoll cabin is a beautiful mountain retreat.We were fortunate to have the opportunity to stay in such a great place with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains. One of our favorite trips

This property was even more beautiful in person than the pictures. There were so many thoughtful items in the cabin to make it a better experience. My children loved the chest full of board games. The communication with the owners was great. Anytime I had to shoot them a message, they responded away. The cabin is central to so many enjoyable activities if you're a nature lover or looking for adventure. We rode the steam train. We spent a day tubing down Deep Creek. We hiked and found many waterfalls. We went white water rafting on the Nantahala River. We zip lines. We went tubing in Cherokee. We spent many evenings at the Smokey Mountain park watching the Elk. There are many horse back riding stables close to the cabin as well. All in all, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bryson City. Im sure we will come back. When we do, we will definitely be staying at this cabin again.

41st Anniversary

I found this cabin after searching around for a week. Let me tell you, it's absolutely worth it! My husband and I stayed for almost a week and we loved every minute of our stay. First off, it was very clean. A must for me. Kudo's to the housekeeping team. It's close to town, Fontana Lake, Harrah's Casino, tubing/rafting/zip lining, etc. Just close enough to day trip over to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg too. It had everything we needed AND it had an area to store our food stuff/etc. First cabin ever we weren't squeezing our stuff into a cabinet or leaving it in grocery bags on the floor because all the cabinets were overstuff with the owners dishes. The beds were super comfy-not overly soft or overly hard. While not a huge cabin, which for the 2 of us we didn't need, but it's spacious enough and cozy at the same time. The owners themselves are super nice and answered any questions within a short amount of time. The only drawback we found, which wasn't a big issue, it that you had to take your laundry outside and go down to the basement to wash and dry them. No access from inside the cabin. But, like I said, not a big issue. We will definitely stay here again. Big thank you and hugs to the owners and housekeeping staff.

Wonderful getaway.

We struggled a little bit to get the key out of the lock box. We were always concerned about opposing traffic on the narrow road to the cabin as there is not enough space to move over. Fortunately that never happened the entire stay. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the game room, and the privacy. Thank you for sharing your property.

Very Clean, Fun and Quaint Cabin with Beautiful Views

This cabin was absolutely adorable and very clean. We enjoyed grilling out near the firepit and loved the scenery. The added bonus was the awesome little game room downstairs behind the garage. It was heated, had a nice bar, and TV. Perfect for family to enjoy. The owners were very responsive and accommodating and made it very easy to get into the cabin and use all the amenities, including the hot tub. We had a fantastic few days away and will be returning hopefully in the near future.

Great Place to Stay for Our Polar Express Visit

This is a lovely cabin. It was perfect for a family of 4 adults and 2 kids. The hot tub and game room (with pool table) provided entertainment when we were back at the cabin. There were multiple games for all ages throughout. The fire pit was nice and the view of the mountains was gorgeous. We stay in the Bryson City/Sylva area every year. The paved driveway is SO MUCH better than some of the terrains we've had to brave to get to other cabins. The hosts was very responsive and super friendly. Highly Recommend this cabin. Simply amazing!!

The cabin was beautiful!! The owner was amazing. I called about a couple of things, and he had it fixed in no time. He was very very kind and helpful. We’ll probably rented 30+ cabins. And I will definitely come back to this one. It’s very close to everything and we wished we could’ve stayed longer! The beds were comfortable the sheets very soft. Jacuzzi was awesome. And the fire pit area was amazing. Make sure you get stuff for s’mores.!! And to the owners, we just want to say thank you once again!

Mountain / White Water Adventure Get-away!

Our first mountain cabin experience… was Great! Beautiful cabin, beautiful view, well equipped, plenty of space but very cozy! Location was just right for all we planned to do: downtown Bryson, NOC white water adventure, Blue Ridge parkway, Maggie Valley, etc. The owners of Knotty Knoll are super nice and very accommodating!!
