The Space:
Gather your group and escape to the mountains at Fish Tales Cabin—an inviting 3-bedroom, 1-bath retreat with spectacular bluff views of Nickajack Lake and the Tennessee River Gorge. Perfect for families or friends, this cabin sleeps up to 8 guests and offers plenty of space to unwind, connect, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Inside, you'll find a cozy yet spacious interior featuring a real wood-burning fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, WiFi, and cable TV. The sleeping arrangements include a king bedroom on the main floor, and two upstairs bedrooms—each with a queen bed and a full futon—providing comfort and flexibility for larger groups.

Hike the trail to stand in three states at once! Enjoy access to the huge indoor pool house with a communal hot tub, two indoor slides, an outdoor deck, seating, and more. 19 rentals at Paradise Pointe share these amenities. Plus, enjoy two small basketball courts, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and more for endless fun!

The view is AMAZING. Could not have been more beautiful. All I wanted to do was sit on the deck the whole time. Check in was easy, and directions were clear. The only drawback is that the upstairs bedroom facing the lake doesn’t have curtains, so you have full light in that room as soon as the sun is up, so sleeping in later is probably not going to happen in there unless you have a sleeping mask or bring something to block the light.

Absolutely loved this cabin! The view was beautiful. Cabin was perfect size for our group of 5. Very clean, nice hot tub, and loved that firewood was provided for the fire pit. Communication with the host was top notch as well. Highly recommend staying at this cabin!!!

Cabin on a cliff.

The property was amazing, especially the view. We loved waking up early to watch the sunrise, some days from the deck and other days from the hot tub. The sunsets were also spectacular. It was a blessing to be positioned in such a way to see both the sun rising and setting clearly. All the views between were sweet too. When we had questions related to our stay, responses were quick and helpful. We also enjoyed the swimming pool area. There was plenty to do. The location of the cabin was near some beautiful experiences: hiking, kayaking, chasing waterfalls, playing pickleball. When it got dark, we enjoyed curling up together to watch movies and play board games. The kitchen area worked well for preparing meals at our home away from home too. We would highly recommend Fish Tales.

Comic con weekend getaway!

Of the 4 of us, 2 of us had stayed at Grant Summit previously (Eagle’s Nest) and had a great experience, so we came back… and brought 2 more! Once Again, the cabin was immaculate, cozy, serene, and even luxurious in some ways (hot tub, fireplace, view). It was incredible to just sit on the balcony- overlooking the mountains and Nickajack Dam- sip a refreshing beverage and read. The view from upstairs was even better! And the hot tub was the icing on the cake, especially because it was private and also offered a panoramic mountain/dam view as well! It is obvious the owners and staff at Grant Summit are empathetic and compassionate in providing just the right decor, furnishings, and amenities to make guests feel comfortable, valued, and even loved. Thank you so much!

Awesome view

I try to point out the good and bad when I write a review, so I'll do my best to remember both sides. Good: The view was amazing! I loved sitting on the front porch each morning while I did my Bible study. You can see boats floating on the river and wildlife buzzing around you. I loved the floor plan. I'm partially disabled and stairs are difficult for me, and I never had to go upstairs in the cabin. Upstairs has two bedrooms and one bath, so that is where our daughters stayed. The master is on the main level, so the only required stairs is going to the front porch. Everything was clean when we arrived and overall we had a great trip. Bad: The outside lighting isn't that great. We arried at night and it was difficult to see on the path from the parking lot to the porch. Solar lights outlining the path might be a good solution. My biggest complain inside is that there isn't a dishwasher. The kitchen really isn't big enough to hold one, so I understand why one wasn't added. I just didn't like having to wash dishes on vacation. The living room TV is really small. We don't watch a lot of TV on vacation, but we did take advantage of Netflix and had a marathon of Lost in Space at night. It works, but it really is too small for such a large area. This may not be the fault of the owner, but we were a little deceived by the location. My search parameter was for Guntersville, and Bryant is an hour away. I definitely am at fault for not doing reseach before booking, but I don't think Guntersville should be included in the search parameters. It's really closer to Chattanooga. The trade-off to the awesome view is that you have to drive at least 40 minutes to civilazation. If you like being secluded, this is definitely the cabin for you. Just know if you like to go out for dinner, the round trip drive alone will be over an hour. Overall, we were pleased and will consider returning, but may choose a different cabin in the group. (with a dishwasher)
