The location is great as it's very central to the city but this makes it very difficult to access by car. This is added to by the fact that you have to go to another office to check in and collect the keys. The apartment itself was really lovely and very spacious - the front portions very light and the rooms large. The most difficult issue was noise levels from the bars in the local area and the lack of thick curtains which meant our party struggled to sleep. We only stayed 1 night, this was a Sunday so we expected it to be relatively quiet.
The staff is very friendly and very responsive to needs of their guests. The apartments are very spacious and well equipped, especially for European temporary lodging. The location is great as well; walking distance to everything.
4 of us stayed here for my husband's birthday. Great location. Very clean. Only minor negatives are there are hardly any mirrors and the bathroom lighting is really poor. Apart from that it was perfect for what we needed.
We stayed here for 3 nights, our first time in an apartment and not a hotel. Arriving at Charleroi airport, we took a shuttle bus to the station which was then a five minute taxi or 25 minute walk to the apartment. It was easy to find, the reception where you pick up the key was in a different street but close by. The apartment was huge and had better amenities than a hotel. It was very central and near to Grand Place, so everything was within walking distance. The area was quiet despite being very central. We will definitely be coming back here as Brussels is such a great place to visit.
This is the 4th time I've stayed in these flats through apartmentsapart. The location is excellent for the square. The flats are clean, well maintained and secure. Only downside is on Friday at 6 AM the construction started in the building across which woke us up.
We come to these apartments almost every year with friends for a weekend. The location is perfect, very centric and apartments apart staff are nice. 6-people apartments have a very wide dining room and a very comfortable kitchen. The bad things are that if you go six people to an apartment for six, two will sleep on the sofa. One of the rooms has no wardrobe, altough the night table drawers are big. I think the apartment is perfect for a few days, but if you want to stay more days they should append a wardrobe and it is better to have a 6-people apartment for 4 people.
Make sure you note the address to pick up the key... these are apartments, not a hotel. We had no trouble getting the key from the address provided in the information. The hotel was around the corner. Great location, right on the metro in the city centre. We walked to shops and the old city centre. We enjoyed our stay here very much. The only negative is the shabby furniture and the scuffed walls, really needs a paint - two of us sat on the couch and it went sideways...still, the kitchen was convenient, dishwasher. Beds were comfortable. For the space (2 bed 2 bathroom), it was really good value for city centre. Yes I would stay here again.
Think it should be 2* compared to 3*. 3* in my mind is Hampton Inn quality, Opera appartment 603 is Motel 6 quality. Lots of chipped cups, plates and glassware. Majority of walls and furniture are damaged. They do not have double beds. If you request double beds they push to singles together, leaving the single bedding. One of our bedrooms had no storage for clothes, no draws and no cupboard, so we had to live out of a suitcase for the whole trip.
The apartment is right above a brand new shopping mall and less than 10 minutes from anywhere in the city centre. There is a paul's bakery steps away for all your breakfast needs. Ideal to explore the city. It is very noisy as it overlooks a main square, but this is part of being in a city. If it was london it would be like having an apartment overlooking trafalgar square or oxford street. On the next street are a vast array of restaurants which tout for passing tourists. Fun to walk past and compare prices on the way to the grand place.
If staying with friends or family within Brussels I would highly recommend these apartments. Location is excellent within the city centre close location for Metro and Rail. Everything is provided within the apartment including little shower and shampoo, even an emergency dental kit. There is a supermarket just around the corner for any extra provisions you may need. Overall highly impressed.
