Wow. What a gem. Super rooms. wonderful staff. arrived at 10:30 am, too early for check-in. Said at the front desk made us coffee, gave us chocolate while our room was made ready. Breakfast superb-croissants, cheeses, meats, lox, fresh fruit. In room wifi worked great. Away from touristy area. Metro less than a block away. We walked to the markt about 20 minutes.
Stayed here with my wife in August 2016, as we wanted to visited the flower carpet. A nice stay in general. Hotel staff very friendly and accomodating. Room was a decent size and had aircon. View from room wasnt great, but we have had a lot worse. Quite a walk (around half an hour) down to the square, but we walked it most days and enjoyed the parks etc on route. Highlight of the stay was the buffet breakfast which was exceptional. Massive choice, and you could make your own waffles. In summary a recommended hotel which is value for money.
Last April I stayed in this hotel and that was a very good experience. The location is very close to the EU facilities. In that area there are more than enough places to eat and drink. The room in the hotel is very nicely decorated and very clean. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself was nice and in a good location. The room was clean, bed comfortable, there was a tv and coffee/tea. The bathroom was nice with a jet tub. The big let down for this hotel was the cleaning service. I arrived on a Sunday and there was a bottle of water. The water was not replaced until Wednesday. The coffee and tea was missing at least one item (not replaced) everyday! First day it was milk, the next day sugar. For my last 2 nights there was no spoon or stirrers replaced. This was frustrating especially when it's offered but then not available. I left my 2nd key in the power socket one day and it was removed from the room. This bothered me knowing that there could be some stranger with the key to my room so I asked to have my key changed at reception. Although they did change it the attitude I got wasn't appreciated. You can never be 100% sure and the front desk would not stop someone who had a key from entering the hotel. Otherwise the front desk and bar staff were very helpful. They were able to provide missing items when I asked but I would have expected that these things be replaced without my request as they are offered as part of the booking. The location at Schuman was very convenient to get around by metro or it was only a 30 minute walk to the central station. There were good restaurants nearby as well if you chose not to eat at the hotel. It would be very nice if the little things could be sorted as the overall experience at the hotel would be much better.
Close to EU buildings and metro. Clean and well organised for a business trip. Good range of restaurants nearby and Leopold Park is close by too. Good breakfast, but expensive Go to the European museum in the park. It is free.
This is one of the best restaurant experiences ever! We’ve reserved a table on a Saturday evening. All staff were extremely gentle during the whole evening and the atmosphere was very cosy. We were seated at the window at the street side. They have a very nice garden, however we couldn’t enjoy it due to the rain. :-(. We liked their concept very much. Never seen this before! You can have a 4 course dinner for only 49 euro by choosing the dishes yourself out of 6 starters, 6 main courses and 6 desserts. So my husband and I had together a 4 course diner without eating the same thing! This is wonderful because in most restaurant there is a fix menu or you must take both the same menu. The food was excellent! It’s a kind of European cuisine with lots of flavors and a very nice presentation. The wine list is extraordinary… as we had both other dishes, we could choose easily very nice wines by the glass or small bottle. And their wines are really adorable! Not a standard wine list, but a special one with for example Belgian wines! Price-Quality one of the best experiences ever! We will certainly come back, especially to discover the wonderful garden…
We arrived late on a Wednesday, the staff not only expected us but greeted us by name. The access to the lifts etc. is card controlled which adds to the feeling of security. Breakfast was ample and well presented although cups were rather small, refills were no problem, indeed requests for fruit for the sportsmen to stock up were generously provided by the cheerful Staff. Our room was on the back of the hotel on 6th floor, the view was great including a light show at night on one of the office blocks we could see from the window. The 'on-off' light in the room foyer was motion/sound sensitive and a little irritating going off if one was quiet but needed it and coming on in the night when not needed en route to the bathroom. Unfortunately being at the top of the hotel meant the room got rather hot when we were out as the air conditioning only works when the room-key card is slotted into the control. Also and this was a much more irritating thing the curtain didn't block out the light as the roof slopes a bit and the curtain sags over a lower curtain rail; and although the bed was very large the sun shining directly in your face wakes you at an unreasonably early hour. (This is the reason I didn't award this hotel 'Excellent') I expect other rooms on lower floors wouldn't have had this issue. Parking was not an issue either on-street or in the underground car park. We ate in (outside patio) one evening the food was really good and the staff were brilliant.
Very good location for a business trip to the EU. The hotel has a beautiful lounge for the winter and an excellent garden for the summer months. The room I stayed was of rather limited size, but the decoration and comfort was certainly above average. The room price does not rank this hotel among the budget hotels in Brussels. The wifi is free but only for a limited data volume.
I used this hotel for a meeting so I spent only one night there. It has a good location because it's very close to EU institutions. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean and it was easy to rest after a long day. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of different products. I would definitely use it again.
Had one night here and was made so welcome by reception and bar attendants. Clean stylish and comfortable room. Very well placed for metro and business, although our stay was for leisure. Do visit St Katherine's square for excellent seafood restaurants. Thank You!
