This hotel is near the headquarters of my company that is based in Anderlecht. I usually stay in Brussels, but I stayed here because of a all the hotels in Brussels being booked up for the Seafood Expo. I had heard horror stories of the hotel and thought it was exaggerated, but it's actually more or less true. The room was not clean. There was multiple bits of hair in the shower and the toilet was dirty when I checked-in. I was there just a few nights and when I arrived there was a tiny bit of toilet paper left on the roll and no spare paper anywhere. It was not replenished even after housekeeping came in each day and when I checked out there was no paper and I was using tissues I'd brought with me. That just seems like a basic! It was almost like a joke that they don't refill the paper even though they bring clean towels. The walls are so thin you can hear the people in the next rooms as if you're sharing a room. There was a man in the room next to me that had a bad cold and he kept me up all night coughing. I went to breakfast one morning and most of the tables were empty and the hot food was out, but it took 15 minutes to bring new food. I tried to go for dinner one night, but their menu is extremely limited. A few snacks and light dishes and even though I ordered their 'special' meal of beef stew it came out on a plate like I was at a prison canteen. When I went to check out the guy from the desk was sitting on a computer and left me standing there for 5 minutes. And then he came to check me out without asking me if I'd had a good stay or anything. He just hurried through to get back to whatever he was doing online. Most of the people working there were pleasant and friendly enough, but the place is a dump and there is no attention to cleanliness or comfort for the guests.
For the price category this hotel is really good. It is also is very well located, if you need to go to the ERASME hospital. Private outdoor parking (5 Euros per night), but wifi is free. Staff is very polite and friendly. There is a dinner possibility there, as well as a breakfast buffet, but I can not comment on them because I have not tested them. The room is clean, correct and functionnal. So is the bathroom, even if a little small (1 person fits in, not 2). The bedding is of Boxspringbett quality, which was VERY appreciable. To put it in a nutshell : I would not book a family vacation there, but for an overnight stay on business purpose, this is absolutely convenient, affordable and recommandable ! I would book again.
Room is big enough, king size bed, bathroom spacious enough. Problem with bathrom is that there is no toillet brush and do not drink water if you are staying in the ground floor. The water has a beautiful earthly colour. Breakfast is poor. Bright light in this hotel are reception staff. Very helpfull and ready to help in every second.
This is a small hotel, certainly not fancy, but does the job for the business traveller. The rooms are old but some are renovated. The bathrooms are nice and the ground floor has been renovated very recently. The location is not central, but the metro station is 200m away. Breakfast is so and so but diner and bar are nice. The people handling the restaurant are great fun, there is always a table reserved for the regulars to watch the football games and the beer selection is quite good. Most of all, since the hotels are very expensive in Brussels centre, this can be a welcome change.
stay for business and a good surprise for this hotel. Very comfortable rooms, very welcoming and professional staff. A bar with a lot of good Belgian beers. very quiet place, perfect for relaxing after a day's work.
I stayed there for 2 nights. The breakfast was good and the hotel room was, except for the carpet, clean. Although the bed was a bit too soft but otherwise, I had nothing to complain about. The staff was very friendly.
I just spent a night for my business but the hotel is very nice. Large superior rooms with excellent wifi connection. The staff is very nice and helped me find my way to my various appointments. Thanks. Wiilliam
This Hotel is great however needs some TLC, a good hoover and cleaning the handprints off the walls above the bed. This rooms at the front of the hotel smell of smoke quite strongly as the smoking area is by the air con units out the back of the hotel. I did not eat or drink in the hotel they never had a problem with my bringing in things bought from the local large shopping mall. There is a couple of fast food burger places nearby and ignore the branded ones and try something different. The large shopping mall less than a 15 min walk away is full of shops and a HUGE supermarket that sells everything (even kitchen sinks) If you want to go into Brussels for the day then it is less than 2 Euros for up to an hours travel on the subway. It takes about 30 mins max to get to Grand Central station and the trains are every 6-10 minutes either way. The hotel is right by the last stop on the subway so you dont have to worry about missing it. If you get a chance then visit Brussels, get on an open top bus and explore everywhere, from Grand Place to the Motor and Aircraft Museums then walk back past the EU buildings and through the many many shops. Overall the amenities nearby make this hotel much better than what it can offer.
This hotel is nasty and dirty. They stuck me in a room without air conditioning, the wall had some kind of liquid splattered on it, the bathroom was dirty and rudimentary. I asked them about the AC and they told me that I could have a room with AC but for an additional cost. Really? What hotel does that nowadays? You should not have to pay extra a hotel to have air conditioning! That's like renting a car and paying extra for power steering. I will never book here again and do NOT recommend. it.
The room is okish but not exactly clean. The hotel is a bit aproximative. I checked in and they didnt even asked for documents or anything. The restaurant is awful. I waited 20 mins just to have the menu. An hour and more to eat. Food average. Small portions. I asked chips they brought me croquettes. It is the only hotel in the area. Just use the metro and go somewhere else.
