Overall a good value - clean and tidy - right next to the metro station (one stop south of the Gare du Nord). Just walk south through the shopping district about 30 min and you will find yourself in the city center - near the Grand Place

The hotel is old, but in a quirky way. It's quiet, close to some EU facilities (and the comic book museum :-), and reasonably comfortable and clean. If you look for luxury and many amenities, this is not for you. If you look for a simple hotel, this is adequate. The free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.

This hotel has everything you need if youre just looking for a place to sleep. That was the case for me and I found the hotel to be good value for the money. About a 15 minute leisurely walk to Grand Place and just around the corner from the Nord station. The area is a little shaky at night but as long as you stay alert and dont wander around, you shouldnt run into any trouble. I was a female travelling alone and didnt have any trouble in the area but its definitely not a place I would suggest for hanging out after dark! Just keep your wits about you and youll be fine!

The hotel is sited right next door to the office building where I had my meeting so a very short walk in the morning. The hotel is past its glory but it is comfortable, clean, with friendly staff and priced economically - so value for money I have no complaints.

Very clean, everything works. Staff is very nice and helpful. The room is small and the bed is twin. There is no full size mirror in the room and no hair dryer, but you can ask for the latter. The breakfast was not included and costs 15 euro. The shuttle to Charleroi costs 120 euro so is best to plan the bus or a collective taxi if you fly from Charleroi Overall a good experience.

Honestly I'm thinking i'll never go back to this hotel... I just wanted to save money... but never again... but as a tourist I was in that hotel only for sleeping.

Lobby was clean and hotel looked promising. But it was not to be. When comforter was pulled back, there were blood stains on it. Walls were paper thin. Felt like neighbors were in our room. Would not stay there again.

Needs more electrical outlets in living quarters. Also needs a safe for valuables.

i would not recommend this hotel! this hotel need to be demolished! the location is okay, but the hotel is not; lobby and corridors are scary and dingy, antiquated elevator, room smell cigarette, the decor is so pathetic and the bathroom and fixtures are dismal failure. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!!!!

For a backpacking location to stay, this place is pretty decent and has a reasonable price. Location is very good as its 10 mins away from the Grand Place or city center and right next to the shopping area.

We found the location to be good; buffet breakfast was good. The room we had was adequate but the whole hotel could do with an upgrade.

I got off the train at the Brussels North station and walked two blocks toward the center of town and there was the Hotel. Excellent access to transportation and the Gross Markt and the old downtowm. The room was OK, shower and bathroom tiny, but you don't live in the bathroom. The breakfast was reasonable, but not elegant. But, for its cost I think this was a good value. I will consider staying here when I am next on business travel again.

.its room was clean ,well ventilated, confortable. .it has good ventilation, telephone and tv with a good reception. .at the lobby you can use free internet services. .the breackfast was excellent and free. .the cuality and manners of emploies was excellent.they were very cooperative and helpful. .the location was close to the attraction places and public transportation.

The hotel was charming and very comfortable. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. We were there for our son's wedding. The location was very convenient to the subway and train and shopping. The only thing I missed was having a hair dryer.

Intriguing, older hotel, renovated in historical fashion. Close to everything in Brussels.

We thought this hotel was a very good deal. Room was large by Euro standards, enough room to put luggage in it and still walk around. Very good buffet breakfast, better than we've had at most other hotels in Europe. Comfy bed. Good location, 5 min walk from Gare du Nord, about 12-15 min to Grand Place. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Attractive lobby area. We have often paid more for much less in Europe.

We liked the location. We were able to access it from Schipol airport by train and a short cab ride from the train station to the hotel. It was a 10 min walk to the tram which took us into the hub bub of Amsterdam. Some may not like using the tram to get back to their hotel after a day of sightseeing but we appreciated the quiet after a busy day. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
