the hotel had a great breakfast. staff is very helpful. a short walk to the metro. you can walk to different sites.they have a computer in the lobby which i used many times.

We used this hotel more as just a place that we could shower and sleep for a few hours. The neighborhood does seem a bit scary at night but it isn't. The hotel is not near the Grand Place but a is a short bus ride away. The hotel is within walking distance to Midi Train Station. The major drawback I see for this hotel is that there is no air conditioning. The weather during our visit was good enough that it wasn't needed but I cannot imagine utilizing this hotel during the summer time with out air conditioning. The room was already a little stuffy as is during our visit.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and couldn't have ask for better treatment. The desk staff was SUPER, especially the young gentleman that worked the night shift. The 'continental' breakfast was great-especially the freshly-baked pastries each morning. I was treated with respect and consideration. The room was very nice. Large bathroom and all the amenities that were needed for my stay. My compliments to this hotel.

Loved it..great staff and comfy, big room. Except no A/C so we needed the window open.

staff was friendly and helpful....the breakfast was great each morning.

I arrive late the day of the reservation for inconveniences in the road, what can I said, the worst service in the worst neighborhood of Brussels. Expensive, not clean, the personal at night don't know anything in order to help us, in general, the worst hotel experience so far in our trips. Please, dont even consider this hotel in Brussels, istead, at that moment in the middle of the night I move to a place called The Hotel that save my night, in the center of the city of Brussels, 4 star hotel at the same price than Fierland Hotel (less than 1 star). Take the advise or pay the consecuenses, have a nice trip.

Hotel De Fierlant was a great choice. It seemed that other hotels in Brussels were too expensive during my time there so I had to look for a better value. I needed something reasonably nice however as I was traveling with a business colleague. The Hotel was not the Ritz but it was nice, reasonably well located, reasonably clean, had a very good breakfast and excellent staff. The staff at this hotel were always helpful, happy and friendly which can be rare at even very expensive hotels. My business associate could see that I was frugal and careful in my choice but not cheap.

Had a 3-day business trip to Brussels - needed a clean, economical place to sleep with a free breakfast and an Internet connection for my laptop - the De Fierlant delivered. Friendly staff, simple clean and modern rooms, with breakfast and wi-fi included, all at a great rate = great value for Brussels. Biggest drawbacks were the distance (about 1k) from the Gare du Sud train/subway station, and the location in a working class urban residential neighbourhod, which might be less than ideal from some women travellers.

nice breakfast, very good location for the price, clean bedroom, the only negative thing i saw is the neighbourhood, but is not a showstopper to stay in the hotel.

I took the train into and out of Brussels Midi train station (direct on fast train to/from DeGaul airport), and this hotel was very conveniently located. Its about 10min from the station. Staff were very friendly and gave good advice on walking around and where to find a good couscous restaurant. They even put up with my mediocre French without ever wincing (their English is perfect FYI). The hotel is in an OK part of town, certainly not bad, just OK. Great markets near the train station on sunday morning. Breakfast at hotel was very nice, nothing too fancy, but many tasty items. And the price was good. Overall, a good stay, well worth the money.
