The hotel was absolutely terrible. When we arrived we were told our room was in the left hand side of the building because that was where triple rooms were. This was a lie as I found it later. The room the gave us first was so bad. The double bed had no frame, it was resting on a single mattress. The toilet and shower were on different levels and there was no soap or towel in the toilet. The carpet was frayed and had stains all over it. There were no net curtains and the sheets on the bed were ripped. I went down to speak to the receptionist Elisa and she just shrugged her shoulders. No customer service whatsoever. I explained I would not be moving until I was given a different room. She then called the manager and gave me a room in the right hand side of the building. This was only ever so slightly better than the first one offered. The carpets were still frayed and full of stains. There were no net curtains here either and the beds did not have headboards. The walls were dirty and the room didn’t have a ceiling light! I went down a third time and insisted on another room. After much argument I was offered a third room. This was only acceptable. The beds were proper beds but the bath was dirty and the heater was on really high and you couldn’t turn it down as there were no controls. Lighting only slightly better than the other rooms. No mirrors in any rooms and the carpet in this room was also frayed and stained. Breakfast was not great. We asked for hard boiled eggs and after explaining to the chef how to boil an egg we received soft boiled eggs but even the white was not cooked fully. Coffee machine broke while we were having breakfast and the selection available was subpar. This hotel needs to fix up and offer their customers at the very least a good service. Unacceptable to call yourself three stars when what’s being offered is not even one star.
Two night stay here. Room was large, but decor is tired. Bathrooms are pretty bleak. The place definitely has character. It is however appropriately priced for what you get. I would still stay here above the ibis styles just down the road. This at least has character.
Barely a 3 star hotel - in fact, it very likely isn't. Bathroom probably qualifies as a museum exhibit. Two outlets in the room - one all the way under a coffee table that is the one used for the television, and one near the headboard that's on the same switch/panel as the bedside lights. In other words, no charging your phone overnight unless you're into sleeping with the lights on. No charging two things at once if somebody wants to watch TV... etc, etc. Dated, creepy interior (except for the nicely re-done reception area) but you can sleep in it. It was really close to my business so I don't regret the stay, but if you have 20 euro a night extra you can probably land a much nicer room. Breakfast is not included but it's ten euros a night and quite well made.
If you put the four star filter into the Booking.com website incredibly it comes out as a four star hotel- it's clearly not. Booking.com's customer services then fob you off with 'nothing to do wish us, we're just middlemen.' Do not trust Booking.com when looking for a four star hotel when travelling. There customer service is appalling. Use one of their many competitors who you can trust instead.
In my opinion it was a good 4 star hotel, but not the same as an Italian hotel. The room was big but the carpet wasn't the cleanest if you ask me. However it was cleaned everyday. It was warm and when I got back from sightseeing it was perfect for relaxing. The bathroom was very old. There was an excellent tv with English, Dutch, German and Italian channels. Nobody told me anything when I got some Japanese food delivered to my room. The reception service was good and when I wanted some street information the recepionist was very helpful. I think I was the perfect guest because I went out in the morning and I got back in late afternoon and I was clean and tidy.
The hotel is a bit of a way out from bus and train at main station you have to take a few connections and then a tram to find it. Train station is Louise that you have to change for the tram. If you walk from Louise tram to hotel will take you about 30 mins if pulling bags. The room was spacious and bed comfortable, as per Europe hotels, very flat pillows or hard as cement ones. Mini fridge in room, no jug for hot drinks. It was a hot weekend when we stayed so the room was quite stuffy and there was a small fan thank goodness or I would have got no sleep due to being so hot. Windows open so then noisy but no other choice. Hot water was a bit of a hit and miss. wifi was ok, sometimes a bit of a hit and miss as well. Carrefour across the street, so you are able to get nibbles etc. I probs wouldn't stay again as its too far out for just one or two nights. would pay extra and get closer.
This place does not put any money back into their hotel!. There was black curly hairs in the bathroom, used tissues in the living corner, the bed was a queen size with a twin size box underneath so if two people sleep on it, the sides droop down and you have to sleep on a slant. The balcony is discusting. A horrible experience, no sleep, and had to scour the bathroom (with cleaner we purchased) before we felt we could use it.
Very dirty and smelly (dust and cigarettes). Place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. White curtains are actually dark gray, sheets have brown and yellow stains. Hair in the bathroom and bed, floor is so dirty that corners of once red carpet are black. Walls have stains as well. Spare yourself horrible experience and go somewhere else. It is not worth the price. If I knew how it actually is I wouldn't stay here even if it was free. Just unbelievably dirty.
We have stayed to this hotel for 3 nights. It is not a 4-star hotel. Not even 1-star perhaps. There is a bad smell, the beds are not comfortable. Everything in the rooms is worn out and needs renovation. Besides all of the above our biggest problem was that at 5:00 in the morning we woke up by the extreme cold and humidity in the room. The heating system stopped working during the night and the temperature was very low and we could feel the humidity to our bones. Also it takes a long time for the warm water to arrive. On the good side the breakfast was fairly ok.
Having arrived at this hotel to a deserted reception desk. No one arrived for 10 minutes. One someone did arrive I was sent to a room on the second floor. The lifts looked unsafe so decided on the stairs but this are narrow and tricky and dirty. The corridor leading to the room looked like a hostel,dirty, peeling paint and smelly. The room has a smashed balcony glass and glass just lying around. There were holes in the carpet and to say the room was basic is over stating it! I sat on the bed only to have the wooden slat bed break!!
