The staff here are very friendly and professional. They let me check in early which is always welcome. The room was clean and quiet with a minibar and a large window looking onto the back lot. To be fair, it was easily one of the cheapest hotels available and so for that reason and the fact that the room did the job I give it 3 /5. For the price, it was perfect for a one night stay. Yes, the room has frayed finishings and it's not somewhere you'd go on a romantic break. But again, great price. As one other poster pointed out- it beggars belief that this has 4 stars.
I had a two night stay here. The room was extremely tired looking. The sound of next door's TV came through the wall easily. It was hot (30C) and no air conditioning of any kind. I opened my windows but the hotel is on a very busy road with a tram line so it is noisy. The staff are pleasant enough. Especially the guy doing the breakfast room. Speaking of breakfast, they serve it at 7am during the week and 8am on weekends and "holidays". I was here on July 20th and the hotel decided it was a holiday! So no breakfast for me today and no time to get any. Will stay elsewhere in future. Definitely not 4 stars.
Where to start?! We arived at this "four star" hotel and could immediately see how run down it looked from the outside. Upon stepping in to reception the smell of stale smoke hits you. We were unsure what the smell was at first but can only presume it is the remnants from days gone by when smoking was allowed and they've never bothered to clean the place after. We got in our carpeted lift and headed to our room (Seriously, wall to ceiling carpets!). The room itself was clean at least but really run down. We had booked a double room and it was a large size with two double beds. Don't expect a memory foam mattress! One of the two plus points as that the shower was great. A great power shower which you needed every day just to wash the stench of the hotel off you. The other plus point was that the staff were very nice and helpful. Oh and for those of you who like your ladies of the night! Heading back to the hotel at night was interesting to say the least! The whole street leading up to the outside of the hotel was littered with prostitutes. It is not badly priced but beware that the price you get quoted does not include a 20% city tax. That's a hidden cost.
Bathroom was dirty, serious soap scum on the fixtures. No ventilation without opening a window (right on the street next to traffic and a train). No bar or restaurant, so if you arrive late, you are on your own. Breakfast was just OK, but the coffee was terrible.
Right in front of a Tram station, this small property is good. Rooms are big. Needs refurbishment, however good for comfortable stay. Breakfast spread is OK. Wi-Fi is good. Excellent Service through small dedicated front desk staff!
Hotel location is pretty good, almost middle of Louise Avenue, the tram station is front of the hotel. Room is quite big, the furnitures not so modern, but everything was clean. The price-value rate is right.
Upside - it's cheap. That's it... Downsides - everything mentioned by everybody else. This is a terrible hotel - it smells, very old decor, very dirty / poorly cleaned, security is poor. Found hair from last guest in tub, curtains didn't close, no gym, etc etc. At best a 2* hotel. Never stay here - even with low prices, it is poor value for money.
This hotel is not even close to being a 4-star hotel. The rooms, although large, are worn down, carpets are dirty and full of holes, windows are dirty, light bulbs are missing in most lamps, and the beds are uncomfortable, and in need of updating/refreshing. The bathroom was full of mold. The reception is generally unfriendly. Despite being unable to arrive in Brussels due to the terrible events at the airport and in the metro, we were not allowed to cancel our rooms, and were met with outright hostility when contacting the hotel.
Big room, comfortable bed, clean, very good breakfast, friendly and professional staff. The hotel needs to be refurbished and an overall update as the carpet and the curtains look old, the wall paper is damaged in several points. It is located in av. Louise, 15 minutes walking from the metro station but there is a tram stop right outside. In walking distance from Flagey square.
lets's start with good points: -Helpful staff; -close to tram, station in front of hotel; -parking next door - don't know if you need to pay or it's free. -Spacious room; -free wifi - not the very best but ok; -tv; Now bad points: -no restaurant - you can have breakfast for around 16 euros; -old furniture, old beds; -paint falling down in bathroom; - rust on shower; -door issue - brute force used to close it; -big key; I would not stay in again, don't recommend this hotel
