Holiday Inn Brussels Schuman3.0 out of 5.0

Nothing fancy but clean and simple. Location is good if need to be near EU offices or Schuman area. Buffet breakfast seemed expensive for what was available. Restaurant/bar very small but many restaurants and bars nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Double bed was just what it sounds like. Two beds pushed together. Not that unusual in Europe but beware if traveling as a couple. Biggest complaint is that towels were like tissue paper. All in all due to location might stay there again if price is right but there are other options nearby.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and gave me a really nice room on the first floor. The room was very well appointed. It had a comfortable bed, good wifi and all amenities. The bathroom had hot water and rituals soap and moisturiser which I enjoyed using. The room was generally clean and well kept but one of the towels had some marks on it.. Aside from that everything was really good. Breakfast was very nice with a good range of products. The little danish pastries were very good and the coffee was also nice. I mainly stayed here because of the location which was ideal for the EU quarter. I would definitely stay here again.
The Holiday Inn Brussels Schuman is my hotel of choice when on business in Brussels as it's just walking distance from the EU institutions. The staff are always helpful which was just as well on my first visit as my executive room on the first floor had quite a bad leak near the window. On that occasion I hadn't booked breakfast with my stay which was offered on a complimentary basis as no other alternative executive room was available. Breakfast is usually charged at €12 which I would describe as average. Breakfast is the only shortcoming in this pleasant hotel. The rooms are comfortable, staff are helpful and with it's excellent location I undoubtedly recommend and will return as I haven't experienced any other issues with the rooms since my first visit.
Good location near Schuman and EU institutions. Rooms are comfortable and clean with great bed. Breakfast are okay, there were not enough tables when I came down (8:15am) but it was almost empty by the time I was finished. I stayed for second time and this time there were some minor issues such as TV remote buttons not working, I had to call reception to get body lotion and conditioner as they were not provided in the room and shower seemed not clean enough. Overally, it is good hotel for business trip or short city break but you need to be lucky with the room.
This hotel was a short walk from the bus stop after arrival from the airport. The front desk staff were very friendly and had us settled in very quickly. The room was clean and when I arrived I just wanted to get my head down, which was easy as it was very quiet as well. A bonus we hadn't expected was a big street festival going on, just the other side of the Parc du Cinquantenaire, on the second day of our stay. So a morning stroll in the park turned into something much more. Will definitely use this hotel next time in Brussels!
Good comfortable stay but food needs attention. Though all other things are upto the mark and excellent. service 10/10 staff 10/10 accommodation quality 8/10 amenities 8/10 location 10/10 convenience 10/10
I really enjoyed this hotel. The area is a bit boring, but it's really close to the train and metro stations. There's a gym close, and the hotel gives you a card to go in for free. Very nice. I was given free breakfast even though it wasn't included in my rate. Breakfast was og great quality (including smoked salmon). Thank you!
Holiday Inn Schuman is a small hotel just off the centre of Brussels, it is about a 5 minute walk from the Schuman station on the metro. It is only a few stops on the metro from the centre of town and you are only a couple a minutes away from the centennial park with museums on one side and about a 10 minute walk from the Leopold park and the EU museum, parliament and the natural history museum on the other side. There are also several EU institutions around the hotel. The hotel has a small bar and restaurant and if you feel that you want something else there are plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel. The lobby area is quite small but there are more seating in the restaurant if you need to. The rooms are compact but functional and the bathrooms are well planned. The business rooms are slightly bigger and have a coffee machine and a trouser press. All rooms have safes and a work desk. The rooms facing the back are quieter as there is no traffic. The free internet is very slow so you have to buy premium if you are dependent on a working connection. The hotel doesn't have a gym but if you ask they will give you access to a local gym 5 mins walk from the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful and allow both early and late check in/out if there is capacity.
This hotel was brilliant. It had two single beds, two chairs, a desk, tv, fridge and safe. Also a large wardrobe to store your clothes in. The bathroom was complete with a bath, free toiletries and a bath robe. As I was with a coach trip the meal was set and in a very confusing place. Nevertheless the food was delicious if you aren't a picky eater. The breakfast was in a large room and not the same room as the dinner room we were in yesterday. Just to confuse us even more. The room did have a spider in but we soon disposed of it. The room had a temperature adjuster so you could make it warmer or colder. It was also complete with a coffee machine and instructions for it.
The location is right behind some of the major EC buildings. The room was rather standard and I didn't like the quality of the bed and pillows so much. They acknowledged a mistake and gave me a discount. The breakfast was a pleasnt surprise with a good variety of things and Belgium waffles.
