Nice hotel. Calm. Breakfast is good but not good enough for a 4 star hotel. Still you can find most of the basic things for a good breakfast. Far away from the city center although you can find a bus stop just across the street an a taxi place in front of the hotel. Shuttle to and from the hotel is available but you need to call before arrival to brussels. Rooms are clean . Wish it was without carpets.
The Gresham Benson is well set up for a business visit on the the outskirts of Brussels. There is a shuttlebus which will pick you up from the airport and take you to nearby offices. This is the big plus point for this hotel. The rooms are fine, although it is worth upgrading to the superior rooms for the extra room. The breakfast is nice with lots of options. There are a lot of restaurants within a 5 minute walk which means you don't have to go into the centre to eat. Although, an uber is about E14 to the centre so it is not hard to get there.
I wanted to use the shuttle service offered by the hotel when I arrived in Brussels, however never received an answer to my request. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was very small but clean. Breakfast was okayish but for whatever reason served in a room without windows in the cellar. Overall the hotel is okay for a stop-over but way too expensive for what you get.
We were ataying overnight in Brussels on our way from London to Toronto. The hotel is a small to medium sized one with rooms offering basic comfort for the price range. Check in and check out was quick and staff were friendly and professional. All in all it was a comfortable stay. ee had a room facing the back, ehich meant no views but kept the traffic noise out. We did not have any meals at the hotel. There is a supermarket just around the corner and a few restaurants and a Pizza Hut nearby. The free shuttle from and to Brussels Airport is a big plus. I will recommend this hotel.
Located on a busy plaza junction in a mainly residential suburb this hotel does most things very well and so is excellent for a short stay. Also at 120 Euro for a double room for 2 people for 2 nights (room only - Booking.com) it represents excellent value for money. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance and as its located on a main bus route in to the city centre (Bus 66 - 2.5 Euro each way) far more options are only 20 minutes away. The rooms are standard with small ensuite, clean with a decent bed and linen. There's a good buffet style breakfast, small bar and secure parking. Reception staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. I'd definitely stay here again when visiting the city as I think you could easily pay a lot more and get far less for you money.
Far from downtown, reaching there is not the easiest thing, but the hotel has a bus stop just in front of it (ticket can be bought on board with som extra charge but make sure you have change with you, sometimes the driver has no change). Too far from railway stations to be reached on foot. Breakfast is good and rooms (small) are clean and equipped with what is required for a business trip.
Over priced hotel with small rooms and too expensive breakfast. The rooms a very small, AC is not proper working and after a shower the bathroom is flooded. The breakfast is with Euro 20.- over priced. Lousy coffee and average buffet. Service is slow in clearing the tables, not very friendly. The offered shuttles to the airport is just available in the morning and the evening, out of this time you have to take a taxi. The same is for the shuttle to companies.
+The location of the hotel is in a quiet +Employees were friendly +The hotel has a gym(but very small) +The rooms were beautiful and not small +Breakfast was fine. -Not very close to the center(Brussels Grand Place is 6 km away) I went on tour.I didn't go to the city center again If you will stay, you should consider this.
We booked the hotel for a 3 night stay whilst visiting Brussels. When you consider the 3 nights costs us £76, £199 and £233, it's fair to say night 2 and 3 were not worth the money, but the 3 nights were in a package - if that's what you can call it. We contacted the hotel and said it was our 30th Anniversary, so they kindly upgraded us to one of the exec suites, so you can imagine our disappointment when we saw the room - A Premier Inn does have better rooms. No Iron, only 2 sachets of sugar, tea, coffee and milk per room per day and only one bottle of water, yes one bottle of water per stay. At their prices they must be racking it in. Oh and I forgot to add parking was 17 euro's a night and breakfast a further 20 euro's per person. So its fair to say I won't be rushing back, but if you do get room 320, just be mindful the shower screen leaks. On the plus side we did have a sofa in the room and the bed was quite good.
I stayed here for two nights because I attended a seminar in Brussels. The hotel claims to be a 4* hotel but I have never seen such a lousy 4* hotel before. They should rate themselves rather 2*-3*. The hotel and the interiors are kind of outdated, need renovation and modernization. I got a ridiculously small room, the bath"room" was extremely small. When I stood in front of the sink I had the opened door in my back and had to close that door in order to reach the toilet or the shower. Bed was way too smooth, got backache from this. The breakfast was horrific, served without passion, almost empty bowls of fruit salad or yogurt all the time and the bread/buns basket alike. (By the way - they charge €20 for a breakfast where you get almost nothing. That and the price of more than €400 for two nights is a darned cheek, if you will pardon my saying so.)
