This was my second visit and had a fairly good expectations based on my last visit, but it all changed this time. The room I was put in was stinky, no towels in the bathroom, shady lights, uncomfortable beds and above all soiled toilet seat. What was more surprising was the callousness of the service desk and there was no improvement over the next whole day. Overall a very bad experience this time with the Citadines. What saved me was the lesser time i had to spent in the property due to my business commitments.
For a 3 star apartment hotel is really good, its close to the bus station where Charleroi airport shuttle takes you, also walking distance to the old city. The check in was super slow because of some technical IT issue (either booking of their server). Very spacious, has electric kettle, toaster, dishwasher, hairdryer, dishes, utencils, mini fridge, big closet, big bath tub. Not much of a view from the window (see the opposite building). Rooms are very warm (even though outside is chilly, no air conditioning), a lot of street noises. Bed is not super soft, for us its good, but some might not like it. Front desk guy is not talkative.
The one bedroom units are roomy and comfortable for short or extended stays. The location is very close to the metro/tram for public transportation. Groceries are loaded a short walk around the corner.
Chose this hotel for its location, close to our venue. Fantastic choice. Close to all the great fashion houses, great restaurants and a beautiful park only a tram ride away. The Grand Place is within walking distance if you have comfortable shoes! The accommodation was clean, with all the necessary facilities for self catering if you got tired of the fantastic Belgium food, as if that would happen. I only wish I had self catered my breakfast. The breakfast hall was the one downside. Though if most apartments are self catering I can understand the hotels view point. However to explain... the dining hall had a feel of school refectory or a motorway caf. Trays being used and then self clear the used trays to a rack. The range of food was good but some things came out late or never appeared ie eggs or waffle mixture. Glasses for juice were very small but you didn’t need to lay them flat to get them in the tray rack. We only stayed one night but I would definitely use this hotel again, esp for a longer stay and be a bit more prepared to use the kitchen in the room.
Unkind staff at the reception A chambermaid who steals. Very small Garage, only for compact cars One lift does not move to the Garage The chipcard for the entrance and door leaves the data three times The coffee machine at the reception was out of order
I sent the survey already, don’t even want to remaind those nightmares again, just find the survey out !!ttheough have the little kitchen is really nice ,but at least I paid a whole room,I should have at least a real door can lock from inside which can give me some private!!!anyway,I sent the survey, and find it out ,you will see
The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was quite large with a shower in the tub and plenty of counter space. The room temperature couldn't be adjusted as the whole place is heated at the same temperature. I couldn't sleep because of music and noise coming from a nearby bar. I was too hot trying to sleep and at 6am went downstairs and asked if the temperature could be adjusted and was told no. So i didn't have a good sleep the first night. I instead slept during the day and missed out on sightseeing. The hotel is in a good area close to what we needed to go to. I would stay again if at a different time of year where perhaps the heat isn't on so high. Also, I would ask for a room on a different floor or section away from the street with the bar. I had requested a room on a high floor that was quiet but that was not met.
Great place and great location.Very close to metro and tgs shopping area!stuff friendly and the accomodation was very nice.i would recommend it for sure and probably use it again for my business trips.
Rooms are expensive. Pillows are hard. No house keeping during your stay. Noisey rooms until 2 am because of other customers and because of a night club next to hotel. Location is good. Staff members were good. No
Stayed only for two nights. It is Aparthotel. Great location, rooms/apartments are well equipped (no coffee or tea, no mini bar, free coffee available in the lobby) Breakfast is pretty usual and possible with additional payment. Additional payment for cleaning service is needed as well. Staff ok, host atmosphere is missing. All in all OK, with no great expectations.
