We stayed here for the weekend back in December the rooms are very modern and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable as well and we didn’t hear any noise. The only thing I did not like was how the bathroom door was glass and you could easily see the other person shower or going about their business. At first glance the room looked immaculate but when I had a closer look the room had quite a bit of dust lying. Apart from that it was pretty good value for money!
Really good location, great service from the on call reception, gave great advice and were super helpful on check in and out! We asked for early check in and they sorted it all out for us as well as sorting out keeping our luggage safe after we checked out because we had a late flight! Would defiantly stay again and recommend!
Our troubles began when we arrived but that was partially because we were new to the system. We did not have phone service, and the only way that we could leave our luggage until our check-in time was to contact the office by phone. The restaurant next door, although somehow affiliated with the hotel, was not at all helpful. All we were looking for was someone to make a local phone call for us. We had a coffee in that restaurant and another customer was able to do that for us. That got us a code to access luggage storage. The real problem was during the second night that we were there, a Saturday night. Shortly after 10 p.m. we had a visit from a hotel representative who said that she would give us a phone number to call if there were any problems with a noisy neighbour. That was because they were aware of a situation on our floor. The noise was not bad at that time, except for someone in heels next door, that sounded like they were in our room. Sometime after 1 a.m. we awoke to the party going on next door, on the other side of the wall at the head of our bed. Getting back to sleep was a little difficult, but we did not call until after 3:30. We were told that something would be done, but when the noise was still going on until almost 4:30, we called again. We were told at that time that the previous call had resulted in someone attending to a situation at another location. That did not seem to make sense, but the noise stopped fairly quickly, except for that person in high heels, but by that time we had given up on the situation. The police arrived just after 5 and banged on the door next door, which didn't help the situation either. We had a very early flight that morning, so the lack of sleep was difficult. The young lady that dealt with our situation was trying very hard to be helpful, but the results were negative anyway. Aside from those issues, the concept seems to work well, and the accommodation itself was very good. All we were looking for was a place to get a good sleep for two nights.
One of the best places we have ever stayed. The room is spacious and luxurious, great bathrooms and nice location, 15-17 minutes walk from the center. The fact that there is no reception was no problem at all and we really enjoyed the modern type of checking in and out. Everything was clean and nice. That hotel really made our stay more pleasant and will definitely visit again - it s a reason to visit Brussels again.
good, comfortable accommodation. Clean, good size and well equipped (including the kitchen). Good position, opposite the metro (Madou). Good secure location. Standard (free) internet is ok for e mail but poor for e.g. films. Avoid rooms near lift (e.g. we has 37 and suffer at night from irritating nice when lift used (so probably also rooms 17, 27 47 etc). Convenient supermarket opposite also. laundry facilities available in the laundry room.
I stayed here for two nights in a studio apartment and I was very impressed, the room was large (the bathroom was about the same size as the whole room at the Ibis I stayed at in Paris), comfortable and well equipped. It was quiet despite facing the road...the windows were amazing at stopping the noise. The décor was stylish....well predominantly white which may not be the best choice because it shows up every mark. Location wise - it's not where I normally stay and is a little away from 'the centre' but actually I preferred that because the streets felt safer at night. There are plenty of nice restaurants around, the Metro station and a mini-market were just across the road. - Check in/out was easy as long as you have the entry codes etc., There are luggage lockers that are available downstairs but you need to ring on the day you need one to get a key...again very easy and convenient. The gym was small but had what I needed i.e. a cycling machine. There was also a running and cross training machines plus some weights. The only problem I had was the TV - I couldn't receive the BBC channels presumably because of a poor signal...I could watch Milkshake (kids morning TV) on Channel 5 though so not all bad! I didn't find the bathroom door to be a problem, admittedly I was on my own but it was tucked away anyhow in the room I had (#21) so I expect would be fine.
It was big and the price was right. About a 10 min walk from main area. It just seemed a bit run down. The nespresso making leaked all over. The bathroom sink leaked. And for God's sake why are a the bathroom doors see through?!? Who needs to watch that business going on?!? Terrible for privacy! We ended up taping a blanket to the door. But, we are a family of 5 and have a really bad time finding places. It was definitely right size wise with comfortable beds. So ya, mixed feelings!! Get some real bathroom doors and a maintenance guy and it would be awesome!
Apartment is great but in an area that doesn't have much around it but an express shop! The metro Madou is very close by literally opposite. The room is just what it looks like in the photos decorated well, amazing lighting, cook books etc etc unfortunately the TV channels provided aren't that great I found it odd there were no music channels? But hey ho. Another negavtive is the bathroom! It's see through you can see the person showering like in full view, takes away privacy. The apartment was VERY clean and spacious! I would deffo comeback again!
The place is conveniently located, apartment itself is mostly ok - but only mostly. Two major flaws: one is the bathroom, or actually the shower. Quite filthy plus very slow drainage causes water overflow. The other is the housecleaning. Somebody came during the day, made up the bed - and was gone, together with one tablet of quite expensive chocolate... In this context a broken electric kettle is a minor nuisance. At the same time they were very accomodating re my early arrival, so the experience was not all bad.
I stayed one week at B-Aparthotel Regent and one week at B-Aparthotel Ambiorix in the course of June 2017. They are only 1,5 km away from each other, but changing made it more convenient to walk to the events I had to attend each week. I stayed both times in a one-bedroom apartment, including breakfast. Amenities are the same in both hotels: bedroom, living room with table and sofa, small kitchen with infrared cooking plates, microwave, dish washer, water cooker, pots, pans, plates, cuttelry etc. There is a large TV in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom. The premium wifi was included in my room rate, but also the free standard wifi worked fine. Both hotels have a small gym and laundry facilities that are free to use. I like this type of aparthotel because you have a more spacious feeling than in a single room, in particular when you stay for a couple of days and spend most of the evenings there. You can also heat some food or prepare something simple if you don't want to eat out every evening. There is no reception, so you need to use an access code to enter the building and collect your key cards from a deposit box. Some people may find it impersonal but it all works very smoothly. The Ambiorix hotel also has an office which is open from 8h to 20h during weekdays. It's the same hotel group but the design of the rooms is very different. I liked the rooms in Ambiorix more but that is a matter of taste. Also the space division was slightly different, the bedroom in Regent was bigger, compared to a smaller living room. Breakfast is basic continental breakfast (bread, pastry, cereals, yoghurt and some fruit) from a small buffet. The breakfast in Regent is served in a public coffee bar to which you have access from the hotel, which makes it a bit more busy and noisy.
